I have never seen a more beautiful movie.

Warning: Spoilers
I relate to this movie in many forms. The expectation from parents, finding yourself and your passion and not conforming to the world, are all key themes that I feel on a personal level. It feels as though I was meant to see this film. I am a poet myself, I have written over 200 poems. I struggle with mental health, (self harming habits and desires) and when I say this movie speaks to my soul, I mean it. I am writing a book about my experience with parents, and how young people such as in this film can mend the broken souls in these relationships. I used this quote from this film in one of my pages: "Have you ever told your father what you just told me, about your passion for acting?

I can't.

Why not?

I can't talk to him this way.

Then you are acting for him, too. You're playing the role of the dutiful son. I know this sounds impossible but you have to talk to him. Show him who you are and what your heart is.

Isn't there an easier way?

No.

I'm trapped.

No, you are not. "

I think that speaks for itself, of the power it holds. I am thankful for this film.

My favorite go-to comfort movie.

Warning: Spoilers
I have seen this film over 20 times. I have explored every single line and musical note in this production and I love every bit of it. I can sing every word to the most thrilling and detailed song in the whole movie. (Medley: Down once more) This movie has quite literally changed my life. I hope to see it performed live one day. Having a bad day? Watch Phantom of the Opera. Boom. Fixed. I'm not claiming that this movie will solve all of your problems, but it will solve all of your problems. It has never failed to make me feel better. It shows the horrors and tragedies of life, yet makes it beautiful and worthwhile. The Phantom is broken and just wants love, while on the other hand, she knows which man she should choose for her own well-being. It comes down to what your priorities are. Others or yourself. The intricate beauty of this film is almost unmatched. "A Beautiful Mind"(2004) comes very close in second. Both have the overlying theme of love and what it truly means. Both show how the world will break you and torture you get there is still hope for you. It makes you question: What are you living for? What does it mean? What do you love? And how far would you be willing to go to get it?

Great film.
