Herd (2023)
Good flick. Basement dwelling keyboard warriors back at it.
Yes. This movie's main characters are a lesbian couple and THAT is literally what a bunch of these reviews are about; not the content itself. This is a solid movie that speaks on current topics and truthfully isn't a "zombie" movie per se, but the title itself is fitting. Without revealing too much, this is a well scripted and well shot lower budget movie that focuses on biases, relationships, and yes, surviving "zombies". Leans more towards drama than horror, so don't expect a bunch of jump scares or anything like that. Consider looking up reviews from reputable places that don't just allow mouth breathers to down vote movies because they're convinced there's an agenda, or it hurts their fragile feelings. Be best.
Look Both Ways (2022)
Lighthearted and fun
I really thought this was a "cute" movie, and I'm typically more of a drama/suspense girl. While the acting is pretty on par for this genre, the dual storylines worked well and didn't tangle into one another. I appreciated that they didn't rush through the plot like some movies do; trying to cram too much in to make it all make sense at the end. I don't think I'd watch it a second time, but it's worth watching once for sure.
