Acting was a top notch!
30 October 2023
Following my experience with 'Stranger Things,' my curiosity led me to explore more of Winona Ryder's remarkable acting. From the very outset, I found myself completely captivated by the film, as it skillfully wove an intricately compelling narrative.

The movie artfully delves into profound themes of identity, conformity, and the elusive boundaries that separate sanity from insanity. It resonates by illustrating the individualized path that is the journey of mental health, often requiring time and introspection. 'Girl, Interrupted' doesn't shy away from addressing a myriad of mental health challenges, including borderline personality disorder, eating disorders, depression, substance abuse, and the enduring impact of trauma, creating a multi-layered tapestry of experiences.

Angelina Jolie's portrayal of Lisa, also known as a sociopath, was nothing short of astonishing. Her performance left me pleasantly surprised, and her Oscar win was well-deserved, showcasing her exceptional talent and dedication to the role.

I wholeheartedly recommend this movie to anyone seeking a thought-provoking cinematic experience. However, be prepared for its potential to alter your perspective on how you perceive others, as it provides a profound and impactful look into the complexities of human nature.
