I am his and he is mine.

This series is all I've ever wanted to see in an IWTV adaptation. Even though only a half of the episodes have come out, I can safely say that this show possesses the spirit of Anne Rice's novels (yes, novels - as in not just the first one! The creators take into consideration the development of the characters throughout the series). Sure, there are some changes made to the original plot, but these changes are all made in good faith and with the themes of the book in mind. The moral and religious questions, the beauty and horror of vampiric nature, the intense and complicated relationships - all is there. And that is what I am here for!

Jacob Anderson gives a phenomenal performance, and so does Sam Reid; both of them embody their characters deliciously and you can tell how dedicated they are to the story.

To those who are sceptical I just want to say that I love Anne Rice's work dearly, but her writing wasn't perfect, and changes made to it aren't necessarily sacrilegious. The changes to Louis' background in particular (which most people seem to be concerned about) make the story even more compelling. To be completely honest I never really liked Louis in the book and even less so in the 1994 film, but here I am completely in love with his character and for the first time I can fully empathise with his struggles.

That being said, I now completely trust the vision of the creators and can't wait to see where the story goes.

Edit: I just saw all seven episodes. It just gets better and better 'till the very end. I have nothing more to say, see it for yourself!
