A lot of the critical reviews seem to come from people who served briefly or know a bit about the military. They point out things like not scrolling the road, taking appropriate cover or hand gestures not being SOP. Some of that is true (although they've obviously never tried moving through a jungle - its too dense and you move too slow, as well as make a racket that anyone walking along a trail can hear for a 100 feet), but it doesn't take away from the entertainment aspect of the film. Its not supposed to be a documentary or portraying a real life scenario such as "Blackhawk Down." Also the interactions between the JSOC operatives seemed believable enough.
In summary, its a Blackhawk Down lite film with some good action scenes. If you're looking for real life than this probably isn't it.
