Willow: The Gales (2022)
Where's the light
Watching the first episode.....trying. It's lightning is so dark I can't see what is happening. Went into my settings to brighten up the picture and found out it's at the max. I don't care if it's trying to be authentic, make it so we can see it at least. If this keeps up, I won't keep watching. For the actual quality of the show, its doesn't have the same feeling as the original movie but I am only in one episode so far. The magic is lackluster and I don't mean the one used in the show. If I can see what's going on, I'll try and keep watching but I feel like this isn't so. I guess we'll see what happens.
She-Hulk: Attorney at Law (2022)
Ehhh....not the best entry but not the worst. Give it a try
There are some ups the show but there are more downs. I enjoyed seeing all the cameos and glad that marvel is setting up their next phase. The 4th wall breaks are normal and fit what's going on. The only 4th wall break that feels out of place is in the finale. It reminded me of the ending of the first Deadpool but turned up to 11. Not needed and seems like the writers were testing the audience to see if this type of writing passed. It didn't. Now for the big issue....the cgi. It wasn't consistent and was very sloppy at times. In one scene it was great but in the very next it was way off. In one episode it felt like they spent their entire budget on it. Overall the acting was decent, the story never felt burdened and was always moving. The actors were likable and were a good fit for who they were playing. I'd watch the next season but they need to fix the cgi problem and some of the writing otherwise it's fun and enjoyable to binge watch.
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners (2022)
Ehh....
This anime started off good and got me hooked but the storyline stagnated soon thereafter. There wasn't really any point to the story. Yes, the animation was spot on but that was it. The main character didn't create a good connection in my opinion. My investment in him was gone before the end. With his death in the final scenes didn't really achieve anything. The character that did him in was way over powered and was shoehorned in. This series would have been better as an extra long movie. I would suggest if this was a multi series, they have an overlaying story that connects all of them. I'll be hesitant about watching further seasons.
