Hallmark obviously missed the decades long memo that this, "he's only mean to you because he likes you!" is not only demeaning, sexist and outdated,but a really dangerous to still be sending.

Lasted less than 30 minutes before turning it over.

12 Days of Giving (2017 TV Movie)

Potentially good story

Unfortunately it's ruined by a bad child actor who was given an unlikable character.

Am I supposed to find the disobedient kid who blackmails someone doing something nice, cute? Because no, I hate that kid. Maybe his acting sucks so much because he hates being that kid.

Anyway, there are better movies out there, but this one is okay in a pinch.

Over indulgent piece of crap

The movie is very pretty but thats pretty much all it has going for it. The pace is so slow it's excruciating at times, a good hour could have been shaved off without losing anything.

The characters are two dimensional, and even having good actors in many roles could not save them.

The movie starts off asking why and by the end, hasn't even answered its own question. We don't know why, the characters still don't know why, but in the end it doesn't matter because magically Finn is healed of his misery. Maybe he just needed a good cry? That seems to be what the film is saying.

The other characters don't appear to be as lucky as Finn though, their problems still exist, but never mind that because the boring, flat, two dimensional Finn is okay now.

At the end all i wanted to know, was why the hell I subjected myself to that? Take my advice and use the two hours you would have spent on this to do something much more productive. Like watch paint dry.

Blood Ties (2007)

Better than True Blood

I'd seen a lot about this show on various message boards but didn't pay much attention because surely if a show was any good, i would have heard about it in the media right? Wrong. Bored over Christmas I watched this and it's the best vampire show I've seen in a while. I'd even say it was as good as Buffy in it's heyday.

I'm sad only one season was made, but considering how little advertising was done, I cant really say I'm surprised if it wasn't a ratings grabber (i assume that's why it was cancelled). From what I've seen around, more people have been turned on to the show after it finished, than knew about it when it first aired.

If you like vampire shows, you'll love this.

Why has this not been released?

Why has this not been released? I kind of thought it must be a bit rubbish since it hasn't been. How wrong can a girl be! This film is, in a word, enthralling.

You will be captivated. It holds your attention from the start and its pace never slows.

The final part of the film, the "episode" as it were (not giving anything away, you saw that in the trailer) is also unmissable. You will chose a favourite, you will be shocked, you wont be able to go and make a cup of coffee because you need to find out what happens. The adrenalin rises and you cant not watch. Cudos to the actors, it's very believable. And it doesn't stop there, they have a final shock for you.

It also makes you question reality TV and if you would watch. And how far away from this are we, really? Endemol (who make big brother) made a TV show in Holland last year offering a dying woman's kidney to patients in need of a transplant. The show was revealed at the end to be a hoax, ostensibly to raise awareness of organ donation, but are we getting too close for comfort?
