60 Il, Jijeongsaengjonja: Commander-In-Chief (2019)
Is there anything happening?
I am watching half of the episode but the designated president hardly speaks a sentence in this crisis. This makes me think if there will be a content of this movie at all? Though the beginning was well constructed and the first episode was quite good, this lack of action on behalf of the designated president makes me question if I want to progress with watching the remaning episodes including this one.
The characters play well and more exaggerated than in European or American series but that is fine in this case in an Asian movie. I hope the necessary actions will sort out in the other more than half of the movie and that they can decide if something will happen or not.
FBI: Apex (2019)
Less cockyness, please
Dena's mannered, unnatural, cocky show is too much. I hoped the young guy who was sent to help them profiling in previous episode will take her role as even he was not that much but the play became twisted just to keep her in place. Such mistakes when the agents shout from ten meters to a suspect in another episod so the suspect have the possibility to escape does not add to the experience, especially when there are other series perfectly made.
The story was good and it is getting better together unfortunatelly with the above mentioned cockyness which is a pity and a distracting element. Also the tension between law enforcement and politicians is too preachy.
Nine Perfect Strangers: Motherlode (2021)
Boring but best part is the 6th episode so far
The setting is clear thoug even in the 6th episode I can't guess what is it all about. I find the series boring but pointing out some good points regarding (wellness) cults, gurus and people. Episode six however is great. To see the cause and effect connection of actions.
There are great play from the part of the actors and also sad to see the unreversible effects of plastic surgery and botox.
I will watch the whole series and see if I can change opinion or add something to this review for which 400 characters would be totally enough for me.
There is not much drama but rather not much story is going on.
The Last Ship: A More Perfect Union (2015)
recipe on how to ruin a basically good movie
The pointless murder of Dr. Scott made pointless to watch the series further.
Parole was offered to everyone it was even offered to the pastor of the immunes till the end of the episode only Dr. Scott did not get paroled before. Than when she got paroled she was murdered.
Seemingly she was in love with her boyfriend and with the Captain who kept her in custody and the least with Ken but her situation was manufactured to somehow earn her punishment for her sins. As she was one of the most sympathetic, likeable and intelligent character it is a mystery why was she liquidated.
The guy who overplays his character is still in play. Good luck with the show now without me watching further.
The Last Ship: Valkyrie (2015)
nonsense disposal of characters
After the previous (episode) amok here is another one. If good guys will disappear in this rate and speed, the series will be over soon.
And there is an actor in each episode :D I mean a guy who is not the crew of the ship or a guy from the beach or not a doctor or an enemy with Irish accent but an actor. And than I remember that this is just a movie :D
Now to have the 600 minimum characters for the review I must add that the story is quite enjoyable sometimes unbelievable still not too complicated so one can follow without loosing interest or story line as I usually do with series.
It was a great idea to involve Tania Raymonde into the story.
