Robot Dreams (2023)
Emotional Reality
This film left me in a state of odd emotion.
It really draws you in with its clever animation, and loveable characters.
Ive been in Dogs shoes, and I'm sure a lot of people can relate to the feeling of loneliness, and longing for connection.
When dog finally takes action, and purchaces Robot and builds his friend, it seems like they will be friends forever.
The journey that they both take is entertaining, sad at times, but shows exactly how life can be.
The end might not be what you were hoping for, but it's a realistic situation that anyone would have a hard time to accept.
I thoroughly enjoyed this film. My only complaint was the length. I feel like the same story could have been told with less filler for that 90 movie run time.
Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2024)
Comedy??
What a swing and a WILD miss. This is not comedy, it's barley even interesting. I don't even know how to review this totally hollow, and poorly written take on an otherwise great story.
They don't give you enough backstory to keep you engaged, or give you any reason to care at all about the lead characters.
There's no charm, no feeling, no laugher, nothing that makes this interesting.
After suffering through two episodes, I can't be bothered to continue.
Maybe had Eiza Gonzalez been the lead (and not killed in the first two minutes) I'd have stayed interested. But the casting was terrible.
What a horrible way to start a series.
Til Death Do Us Part (2023)
Zero Stars
I hate giving reviews on movies I didn't finish watching. But this movie is UNWATCHABLE.
The story line, the acting, the hack job on the direction. It made no sense.
The story would be decent if the actors were likeable, or could deliver a line convincingly.
The premise isn't terrible, but the acting really killed it for me.
There was NO chemistry between the bride and groom, and the Groomsmen looked like they were in a highschool play.
The timeline is derailed within the first 5 minutes, and it gives NO context to what's happening, or why.
Don't even bother. Unless you're one of these easily entertained mouth breathers that gave it a multiple star review. Garbage.
Margaux (2022)
Who is this for?
This movie is 100% bad.
This has to be the cringiest, pile of garbage I've seen in a long time. Its a horribly, terrible trope that has been done to death. Mix in the cheesy acting, the nonsensical story. The lazy writing, it all mounts up to an hour and half of barley watchable trash. I went into it knowing it was going to be a tough watch, and I forced myself to finish it. I feel dumber now.
The only redeeming quality was the female protagonist. I don't fully understand who would enjoy thing type of thing, or who it was meant for, but anyone with any taste all all in movies will hate this. Booooo.
