The Mummy Returns (2001)
Grr...
How does this even compare to the original?! It's all right, but it makes me soo angry! Anck-su-namun with the ending and all the past sequences made me very angry! They just didn't clash correctly with the original. The whole Scorpion King thing was so stupid, at least I thought it was. He looked totally fake, too! Also, I felt that in the original, that Evie was much more bearable, but in this version, boy did that change! Evie was my favorite character in the last version, so that's just weird. I felt that their son really should have had no place in the story and that Rick's past was rather dull and perhaps should have been focused in on alittle more. Why do all the movies make it that the "corrupted" man and woman not being able to have true love? That makes me so angry! So darn predictable! Overall, it's all right, but the original is a lot better.
House on Haunted Hill (1999)
One of my personal favorites.
Contains Spoilers I saw this movie in the summer of two thousand at a graduation party I went to. It was a dark, stormy night and we decided we would order something from PaperView and decided to get House On Haunted Hill. The opening credits were a little freaky, along with the very beginning and my friends kept poking me in the back! I still wasn't afraid though. No movies in the history of my life have scared me, besides It and Nightmare On Elm Street. Maybe that's because I watched them when I was a very young child and now I have a resistance to it .. Hmm .. Anyway, the beginning was kind of unexpected by me, considering the fact that I didn't know the difference between The Haunting and House On Haunted Hill. I thought that House On Haunted Hill was The Haunting, until I realized that this was very gory (I saw the original version of The Haunting). I am a rabid fan of horror movies and this was definitely a favorite. Going through some of the comments .. the only complaint I happen to agree with was the fact that the ending wasn't as good as it could have been, but it was still excellent. Geoffrey Rush, Peter Gallagher, Famke Janssen, and Chris Kattan happen to be some of my favorite actors. The romance between Ali Larter's character and Taye Diggs really didn't catch my affection. Instead, I preferred the couple that were in spite of each other, Famke Janssen and Geoffrey Rush. I also enjoyed Chris Kattan's character a great deal, along with Peter Gallagher's. I didn't like Bridgette Wilson much in the film, but she didn't bother me much, since she was dead early in the movie. I wish Geoffrey Rush's character didn't die, along with Chris Kattan's. Oh well. It's a great movie, see it if you like horror movies. And remember everyone, evil loves to party.
The Santa Clause (1994)
One of the movies my Dad took me to see ..
Am I a wimp? No. My Dad took me to see this, The Lion King, Toy Story, and a few others. I have fond memories of seeing movies with my Dad. Take this moment to realize, suicide is a bad thing. Get help if you are thinking of doing it. Moving back to the subject, this was a pretty good movie. I enjoyed it a lot. I saw it when it first came out and I found it cute, and back in that time I liked Tim Allen and so did the rest of my family. All in all, it's one of my childhood favorites and probably a lot of other people's too.
Gekijô-ban - Bishôjo senshi Sêrâ Mûn R (1993)
The greatest Bishoujo Senshi Sailormoon video!
I loved this movie. It was my favorite of the three. S was just .. weird and SuperS was dull. I don't like Chibi-usa much, so that probably explains the dullness of SuperS to me. Why did I enjoy the R movie the best? It had a good amount of Mamoru in it! I love Mamoru. He's great character that is so often hated and overlooked (by mostly idiots). So that's about it. R is my all time favorite.
