Scrubs: My Old Lady (2001)
Scrubs can be deep
Old people have the power to give something back from their life's even if it's just the realization of death. In this episode J.D. learns how to deal with death. Actually all three main character's do that but J.D.'s case is the most interesting one. How to accept that someone actually will die is a very important lesson to learn. In J.D.'s case this person named Mrs. Tanner is something he can learn of and in the end he does. The heart warming and so necessary hug from Mrs. Tanner is the climax of this episode. This emotional episode made me watch scrubs. Since then I watched it a lot and I can truly say there are only a few episode's that are so tragic as this is.
M*A*S*H: Abyssinia, Henry (1975)
M*A*S*H at the first real climax
To find out how entertaining M*A*S*H is you just need to watch two or three episodes. To find out how emotional it is, you have to watch "Abyssina Henry". But one hint: Watch the previous episodes first. The effect you'll gain will be much more satisfying then. After three seasons you have to like Henry Blake. His friends (Hawkeye, Trapper, Radar) prepare a wonderful good bye party. They drink quite a lot and it's very funny. The emotions for Henry are nicely played then and even better next morning when he leaves. The plot at the end of this episode is so surprisingly that you wouldn't expect. One of the greatest episodes all over the millions of TV-series there are.
