The Flash (2023)
Boundary magic where duality meets and changes
Thematically, "The Flash (2022)" could be a variation on "Dreams, Washed Out (2018)."
However, "The Flash" is a very complicated puzzle compared to "Dreams, Washed Out".
The images and narration seem unrelated at first glance, but the elements are linked here and there, creating an ambiguous structure in which the story appears and disappears as a whole.
Time changes into a box-like space, and it has a nested structure in which there is another box inside the box.
Viewers can rearrange the mysterious puzzles over and over to create their own story.
The innovativeness of this film lies in the fact that the viewers "actively" create stories in a vortex of images and words.
And in its depths, fundamental mysteries and pain are hidden such as sex, violence, eat and being eaten.
When consciousness descends the ladder of dreams, it leads to a labyrinth.
A man hears the voice of a woman in the depths of a thirst dream.
Is it the voice of a femme fatale? Or a goddess?
What will "you" find in the labyrinth?
And "what" will set "what" free?
