A Man Called Otto (2022)
For me it was a good movie at a perfect time
The story was there, even if it was not presented very well by all characters, I felt what I needed.
It has ups and downs, it's not perfect. Maybe it's a little too fast to switch between amusement and the hard reality, I felt both, but it was confusing sometimes. However, I liked the building up of the relationships, like they always lived together, but the situation and communication brought them together as a community and as a family.
Otto is an angry old man, who just wants to end his lonely life, blaming himself, suffering alone. He just didn't saw the world beyond those feelings and thoughts. When he did look up, he felt warmth, empathy, love and he found himself to be an important piece of the community. His time ended when his mission was complete: he forgave, accepted and let himself be happy.
