...Più forte ragazzi! (1972)
Watch the full cut (if you can)
Professionals who worked with Bud&Terence often pick this movie as their favourite, and for a reason. However, the most common version you will find is the heavily cut (butchered) 90-minute version, which is not the best to enjoy this movie. The full cut is rare, but the best way to enjoy a well made adventure movie, with the unique features of Bud&Terence's movies.
A bit less comedy, a bit more romanticism, a slower pace than the usual B&T's movies, but overall a fascinating work by Colizzi who returns to direct the Italian duo after launching the couple in his late '60s western trilogy.
Bud and Terence, bush pilots who participate in a friend's insurance scams, are once again "heroes by chance". There is adventure, wit, beautiful scenery and a couple of (inevitable) fist fights. Very enjoyable.
Nati con la camicia (1983)
Comedy that makes you feel good
This movie does impeccably what it's meant to do: deliver feel-good, light-hearted fun for an audience of all ages. This is the focus of many, if not most, Bud Spencer & Terence Hill comedies, but this movie achieves it remarkably well.
Bud & Terence find themselves enrolled as secred agents by mistake and are sent to fight a megalomaniac villain. The two fall naturally into this role as if they were meant to be heroes from the start and go about saving the world while having a few laughs and cracking a few jokes. Violence is parodied and spies on all sides are ridiculed.
Set in sunny '80s Miami, with an upbeat and catchy theme music written by Franco Micalizzi and spectacular stunts, this movie is perfect to lift your spirits. It's a "therapeutic" comedy you will want to watch after a stressful day.
