My Life with the Walter Boys (2023)
Better than The Summer I Turned Pretty
The reason I'm giving it a 6 is because...
I initially was going to give it a 8 but by the time I got to the second half.
Jackie, Cole, and Alex got so irritating especially Cole. He blames a lot of his issues on a injury. Which I get but it's like he doesn't even attempt to do anything about it. He's selfish and with the ending. I have no respect for him whatsoever. Moving on.
Now Alex, I have nothing against him except the writers thought oh we're going to change him and make him unlikable. His change in personality was strange to me. But I still like him tbh
...Uhm Jackie character is ruined.
The Buccaneers (2023)
Uh...I mean I tried to get through a few episodes
I got through three episodes before stopping.
Lemme start off with, There was a scene between this guy and a girl. He brings her to a room and watches her naked. Does the writers hate men? Also I heard about Theo. Sudden change in personality? No one changes that fast. Totally unrealistic.
Secondly, I feel like it's trying too hard to be the next Bridgerton.
But I do gotta admit. The set and cinematography is stunning. No doubt about that.
Another thing, it's kinda boring. It was dragging for the longest time. I still can't get into it.
I stopped and honestly I don't care enough to get back into it.
The Shepherd (2023)
A decent christmas movie but I wish it was longer
The only thing I didn't like about this movie is it was too short.
A little boring not gonna lie but it was better than most Christmas movies.
The cinematography was incredible and Ben Radcliff was great in it.
I wanna see him in better roles than this because I wanna see him further his acting skills.
I see potential in him!! Especially because I remember watching him in Evermoor Chronicles. Hopefully he'll be casted more after this.
Another thing, because apparently my review is too short. I honestly don't know what else to say.
I only watched this Disney because I was bored and had nothing to do.
Surprised by Oxford (2023)
Why is this categorized as a Christian film?
What I like about this film is that even though it's labeled as a Christian movie. It wasn't preachy at all. I also love how it's set in college. I've been dying for a college centric movie! The main actors Ruairi and Rose have amazing chemistry as well. DEFINITELY GIVE A TRY! With The Marvel's & Hunger Games: Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes coming out around the same time. I thoroughly enjoyed this movie more. Another thing I liked was the setting! It was so great to see Oxford University. It made me feel like I was actually there. Other than that, It's better than most of romcoms Hollywood put out.
