Good Homage to the King

This is not the best DBZ movie but by no means the worst. There is plenty of violence and no curse word is spared. The Godzilla-esque monster Hildegarn is quite awesome espcially his teleportation technique. Goku's Dragon Fist is quite an attack. Goten and Trunks have plenty to do and are the main source of the comic relief. As a DBZ movie I'd give it a seven-out-of-ten.

Ok but nothing compared to 1 & 2

Tremors 3 was a little dissapointing to me. The first two are probably the best movies of all time, but the 3rd is lacking Earl & Graddy as is thus, not quite as good. The CGI in the first two was handled by Phil Tippet studios of Jurassic Park & Starship Troopers fame, but in this one they were produced by some 2nd rate FX company. Even the CGI in the Japanese Gamera III was better than the stuff in this film. As for the cast Michael Gross is great as always. Shawn Christian was alright but no Graddy Hoover, Susan Chuang was fine, and of course Bobby Jacoby rocks as Melvin. However, the real reason i wanted to see it was the return of the Mindy character, played by the extraordinarily beautiful Ariana Richards. I've had a thing for her ever since Jurassic Park and was reasonably excited when I learned that she was coming back. Yet, as beautiful as she is I just didn't like the way they had made her character. She was 21 when the movie was filmed and they had her acting like an average american teenager, which she isn't now and wasn't even when she was a teenager. Overall I'd give it ** 1/2 stars but as since Ariana looked as great in it as she ever has since The Lost World I bumped the rating up to ***.
