Dexter: That Night, a Forest Grew (2007)
Very interesting take on a "serial killer"
This is the type of series that gets its hooks in, to such an extent, that you hang for the next episode. The cast is great in typical HBO style with depth of character developed for many regular cast members. Unlike most American series with the emphasis on zero character developments for all but the "stars".
With Dexter, his voice over of inner most thoughts, lets you share the drivers seat as he corrects flaws in the Florida justice system.
In my view he may have erred in his choice of lady, as "The Bill's" Don Beech's daughter is minor league compared with the former ice skater. However one can forgive him this minor blemish when considering the entertainment value provided by this excellent series.
This series, in the tradition of "Cracker", "Prime Suspect" and the Danish series "Unit One" and "The Eagle", despite being from a different perspective, provides very enjoyable viewing in the "police/crime" genre.
