The Departed (2006)

damon caprio nicholson are a blast, Movie is fantastic

After walking out of the theatre after watching the departed, I felt like going to the ticket counter, and buy the ticket for it again. The departed can best be described as the most powerful and the most entertaining movie of the year. It's very hard to decide who was better than who in the movie because everyone gives a great performance. Leaving Nicholson, Dicaprio and Damon aside the supporting cast too gives a great performance.Martin Sheen and Wahlberg gives some great support to the cast. My favorite scenes includes the one involving Martin Sheen, Wahlberg and Dicaprio. These scenes are really well executed. I have always been a big fan of Scorsese, and even this time he doesn't disappoint. He surpassed my expectations by leaps and bounds. Thank you Mr. Scorsese for making the departed.

Superman Returns (2006)

Superb

After reading some of the reviews about superman returns, I want to ask a question. Did you guys see the same movie as I saw? Because I loved it. It is definitely the movie of the summer. It has all the ingredients a superhero movie must have. I agree that Batman begins and spider man 2 were great movies but you really can't compare it to those movies because they are both different superhero movies. Superman returns is a great movie both technically and commercially. All of you who haven't seen it yet watch it with an open mind and you will love it.

Saw (2004)

I loved it

Movies like Saw are the ones that makes us believe in the horror genre. It is because of such movies we like to see horror/thriller movies. Let me tell you that after watching Saw I wanted to buy the ticket and watch it again because after a long time I got to see a real gripping and tightly directed horror movie. The movie is very exciting and has a lot of goosebumps. However, if you are a faint of heart please do not see this movie as it has a lot of gore/violence in it which will make you jump out of your seat. I just can't wait for the DVD to come out as I really want to buy it. My recommendation to all of you is to watch Saw and have a good time like I did. Also, the movie has a great twist. 10/10

Boogeyman (2005)

Terrible plot, no twist = awful movie

One of the worst movie of all time. There is no plot to begin with. My warning to everyone is that save your hard earned money and if you are movie freak like me then spend it on a good movie such as the aviator or rent the DVD of saw. Which are awesome movies. Boogeyman will bore the heck out of you. Even when the DVD comes out do not bother spending 4 bucks on it as you will regret it. There is no horror element in the movie and do not expect any goosebumps. Acting wise also the movie lacks big times and direction is the worst of any movie I have seen this year. I was surprised to see Sam Raimi's name as the producer and I was thinking that how can a talented filmmaker can produce a movie like this. 0/10

Johnson Family Vacation (2004)

good movie surprisingly underrated. People if u could like a bad movie like Van Helsing and not appreciate a good movie like this then there is something wrong with u.

When I saw the rating of 3.4 for JFV I was really surprised. I thought that it would at least have a rating of 6.7 or 7.0. I really hate to say it that people like crap movies like van helsing and alamo but think that this movie is bad. JFV was simply hilarious and it is a very neat and clean comedy with neat and clean humor mostly. Everyone must watch this movie with an open mind. This is for the first time black people have been treated so well on screen and I really loved it because the kind of role they are normally seen in are crackheads or drug dealers. In this movie the black family is shown as a very normal and civilized family and I really liked it. Good Job Cedric the entertainer.

House of Sand and Fog (2003)

Tear jerker + excellent movie

House of sand and fog is so far the best film I have seen this year. The highlight of the movie is its unexpected ending. It is very hard to predict the ending and it simply makes you cry. The cinematography is brilliant. It is very hard to describe the acting in words because it is simply the best. Ben Kingsley and Jennifer Connely steals the show. The direction is outstanding. The only great performance by a male I have seen this year is of Sean Penn in 21 grams and Mystic River and by a female is of Naomi Watts in 21 grams. Anyways House of Sand and Fog is a must see for everyone. My Rating 10/10

Ghulam (1998)

excellent remake of On the Waterfront

When I first saw Ghulam I said finally a good original film but a couple of years I got to see Marlon Brando's "On the Waterfront" and find out a movie's rip off. Still the movie is definitely a must see for people who like realistic, hard hitting films and not the loveyduvey smoochy films. Besides that aamir khan gives a brilliant performance as the confused brother trapped in underworld's tactics. Rani mukherjee is ok. Her voice is dubbed and one can clearly make out. Aamir Khan's aati kya khandala is a great highlight of the movie. The railway track race could have taken his life but he is still alive so have fun and watch this movie. This is an awesome film. My Rating 10/10

50 First Dates (2004)

Fun movie

I am a big Adam Sandler fan and that is the reason I went to see this movie. I enjoyed this movie to a great extent but the only thing I didn't like was Sandler's performance. He is not in form but surprisingly I loved Drew Barrymore, Rob Schneider and Sean Astin's performances. They were simply brilliant. Watch this movie for three of these characters you will have a good time.

The Butterfly Effect (2004)

Brilliant

I just went to see the butterfly effect with a lot of expectations and all my expectations were fulfilled. When the movie got over I wanted to watch it again. It is one of those rare movies which is 99% flawless. All I can say is that this movie should be seen in theatres as the movie is simply excellent. Ashton Kutcher gives a fine performance as Evan and so does Amy Smart (she is hot).

Gigli (2003)

This movie is watchable

When I rented this movie I didn't expect anything of it but I was surprised and found this movie very watchable. This movie was definitely better than J-lo's enough which was a dud. My advice to all of you is that watch this movie with low expectations and you will like it. Just ignore the acting of Ben and Jen. They are not up to the mark.

Kaun? (1999)

This movie haunted me

I was 16 years old when I went to see kaun in theatre and because the movie was rate adult I had to buy the ticket in black but even then the theatre owner wouldn't let me go in and so I had to request him to let me go in and so he let me. All the trouble I took for watching kaun was worth it. The ending was so surprising that after watching kaun I couldn't sleep at night. What haunted me was Urmila's performance. She was absoloutely brilliant. This one of RGV's best movie and is a must watch for anyone who likes thriller movies. My rating - 10/10

3 Deewarein (2003)

Excellent movie

3 deewarein is one of the best movies I have ever seen. I was so much surprised after watching this movie and my mind still can't let go of the wonderful movie. In bollywood we really do need more directors like Nagesh Kukunoor who have the guts to make different movies. The only minus point of this movie is Nagesh Kukunoor's acting. He is not a bad actor but not in this movie. He shouldn't have acted in this movie. Anyways all in all this movie rocks. My rating - 10/10

American Wedding (2003)

Absoloutely Hilarious

American wedding is simply hilarious. It is as funny as the previous two. You just keep laughing and laughing. Seann William scott steals the show and so does Jason Biggs and Eugene levy. No pie but still a lot of fun. If you want to have some big laughs then this is it. My rating- 10/10

2 Fast 2 Furious (2003)

I loved the first one and guess what this one is even better. This one has more humor, more cars and great and better special effects. I cannot believe they actually made an excellent sequel. The direction and cinematography of the movie is awesome. My Rating - 10/10

Hulk (2003)

I am the kind of person who writes good things about a movie but in this movie even if I want to write good I just cannot. This movie had some good action sequences but they are not enough to make a good movie. The story is good but still they do not show much of hulk in the movie. This movie makes you feel sleepy at times. It picks up pace in the middle and loses it again. Although everyone's acting(especially Jeniffer Connelly,she is really good looking and a good actress) in the movie is pretty good. Watch Terminator 3 instead or watch hulk if you must.

Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003)

This movie surprised me

When I went to see this movie today I didn't expect a lot but I was surprised. T3 is a very interesting movie. Although T2 was a bit better but this one has a very interesting storyline. For action lovers this is a must see. If you liked matrix reloaded you will have a lot of fun in this one. The humor in this movie is pretty good too. My Rating - 10/10

Bruce Almighty (2003)

Jim Carrey is outstanding. He knows exactly what he is doing. I went to see this movie today and believe me I was laughing, laughing and just laughing. Jeniffer Aniston also gives a brilliant performance in this movie. She really looks hot. This movie shows that being God is a job itself. This movie is a must see for all Jim Carrey fans and all comedy fans. I can't to buy this movie on dvd.

The Matrix Reloaded (2003)

Great movie but first one was better.

Better special effects, great acting and a gripping screenplay makes matrix reloaded a great movie but I still think that the first one was better because it had a better script but that doesn't means that you should miss it. Some people will get disappoint in the end of the movie but I am pretty sure that Matrix revolutions will be great. I can't wait to see it.

Critics are wrong about this well made movie

Critics simply trashed this movie but the truth is that this movie provides a lot of entertainment. Critics were only right about the acting of the actors but still the movie is good. The storyline is like this The film features relatively new actors in leading roles namely Shoeb Khan, Chaitanya Chaudhary and Heene Kaushik. Dev Anand also sharpens his skills of acting in the film, as he does not leave any chance of appearing fully in each and every film of him. And also he loves to face the camera which is why he is seen everywhere in his films. Love At Times Square has been shot in the US in various areas, including Times Square, N.Y. The story of the film revolves around two young guys (Shoeb Khan and Chaitanya Chaudhary), one girl (Heene Kaushik) and a father of the girl (Dev Anand).

Sweety (Heene) is the daughter of a billionaire Indian (Dev Anand). The girl's father organizes a musical concert at Times Square where she comes across two young boys Raj (Shoeb Khan) and Bobby (Chaitanya Chaudhary). Raj is a computer engineer and works in the Silicon Valley whereas Bobby, who is a middle class person, has come to the US in order to earn a bright future. Sweety (Heene) is pursuing her studies in Mass Communication in the US. Both the boys fall in love with the same girl (Sweety). Watch it My rating 9/10

Jism (2003)

Good remake of Double Indemnity

When I saw double indemnity I just loved it and then when Jism came out I saw and I found out it is a remake of double indemnity. Very good movie to watch.. Bipasha Basu is just hot and John abraham is a very talented actor though he does needs to improve a little on some of his acting skills. A must watch.

Although its climax is almost as same as of the movie Gupt and also it is a complete copy of I know what you did last summer and I still know what you did last summer. This movie is really fun to watch. Watch it for some real time pass. My rating- 9/10

Excellent movie by Madhur bhandarkar after chandni bar

I am a 18yr old kid and I loved this movie. This movie focussed on politics. It showed how corrupt and power minded are politicians. I am a big fan of Madhur Bhandarkar after Chandni Bar and now I am even a bigger fan. Raveena tandon's performance is outstanding and the debutant dharmadhikari makes a confident debut. Show stealer of the movie is Atul Kulkarni and Govind Namdeo. Overall, a great movie and a must watch. My rating- 10/10

Final Destination 2 (2003)

I liked the 1st one but this one is very good too

Very well made sequel. This movie is full of death scenes. The death scenes are made very well. I had a lot of fun watching this movie. This movie was very suspenseful. The story of the movie is very gripping and holds audience's interest right till the end. A must see.

Saathiya (2002)

Yesterday I went to see saathiya at theatre and let me tell you that it is a great movie. Debutant director Shaad Ali has done a great job in directing this movie. Ashok Mehta's cinematography is just too good. Vivek Oberoi has done an excellent job. He shows a lot of acting skills. I personally feel that he is a very promising actor. Rani Mukherjee also acted very well. Among other actors I think Sandhya Mridul acted very well and Tanuja was just natural. The only thing I didn't like the movie was its ending. The ending was too filmy. My Rating - 9.5/10

This movie reminded me of an old movie rookie of the year but still this movie was fun to watch. There is a lot of humor in this movie which leaves the audience glued to their seats. This movie is a great family movie. Recommendable.
