Dexter: New Blood: Sins of the Father (2022)
Really? I mean... Really?
Bad writing, felt rushed... Dexter really deserved better end than this, he gave Michael C. Hall quite a good fame, so he should not allowed for such a let down. Why would the writers who's job is to create good stories came up with one like this while it's so obvious it could have been done so much better...?
Dexter: New Blood (2021)
New Blood but not on a Clean Slate
Dexter would have so much potential in starting anew without the heavy bagage of twisted 'family problems' the other seasons created. There was no need to drag Debra into it and especially his son. His apperance could have been a well executed clifhanger at the end of this esason.
After years of killing inactivity Dexter has forgotten how to properly secure the crime scene with a plastic wrap, he really did a bad job securing his shed.
The start of this season feels more like it's writers were inspired by how the show ended, not like it started.
Ted Lasso: Inverting the Pyramid of Success (2021)
Love it!
Season Two of Ted Lasso has been a strange emotional roller coaster, a mixture of light comedy and heavy drama, with a bit boring start of the season. It's definitely different than season One, but I've grown to like it, and I'm not sure anymore which form of this storytelling one is better. It stared as a comedy but ended up like a drama.
The last episode really surprised me with it's ending. It was awesome! I think the writers did a good job building up story of Nate's twisted psyche. I'm looking forward for the next season.
Ang-ma-reul bo-at-da (2010)
Unexpected. Pure evil and ultra violent.
After watching 'Old Boy' I was eager to see another Min-sik Choi movie... I wasn't prepared for this.
When I watched 'I Saw The Devil' for the first time, few years ago, I did not expect to experience such horrifying sadistic violence and crushing drama mix with a brutal realism of fight scenes. I couldn't stop watching it although I felt disgust, and disbelief one could direct such a movie. It haunted me for a long time as the most real and evil scenes I've ever seen. I loved the movie for it's perfect and realistic execution and I disliked it for making me realize such evil does exist.
Watch it, but if you haven't experienced the grittiness of Korean cinema yet, be prepared for a really bad trip, because it's gonna take you in really dark places. You won't be same again.
Game of Thrones: The Iron Throne (2019)
Epic disaster of an epic story. The Irony Throne of medicore writing and a gravestone of fanhood. From a fantasy to a fairy tale.
I guess if the last season was just 'good enough' the viewers would suffer in a quiet disappointment of unfulfilled potential the show had to offer. The Game of Thrones deserved a truly epic ending and it was epic indeed, an epic disappointment...
What an irony the worst people are being chosen to the finest job noways! Whether it is the art, politics or science humanity became a caricature of itself - we are becoming apes again! We are going back in time, it's a backward evolution and we are breaking the wheel just like Deanerys did. Seemingly for no reason at all, but deep inside we know we are all mad and all we need is just a slight push to fall into the abyss of madness.
Dumb & Dumber are the sing of times we live in, the Icon of stupefying Pop Art and Pop Culture.
Thank you D&D for waking people up to the great stupidity of this world and F U for killing such a great show! Dumber & Dumbest that's who you are now.
