Star Trek: Discovery (2017)
Did Gene Roddenberry not school you on the importance of story?
Get a grip, Hollywood, Most of America does not agree with you.
Star Trek Continues has done 1000 times better with a limited budget and fan based writing. Imagine what you could have accomplished handing that budget over to people that care about the franchise.
Whoever is making your decisions needs to be fired and hire Vic Mignogna as a suitable Roddenberry replacement.
This is not Star Trek, it is Star Cr*p. Let it die.
Rango (2011)
Not what I hoped it would be.
Everyone goes to a movie with certain expectations. I expected a Great storyline in a movie starring Johnny Depp. However the story was, at times, slow. I would imagine someone told Depp to "slow down the dialog", probably for the children's delicate comprehension. What this movie does do well is; in your face - awesomely gruesome - computer animation detail. I don't want to spoil anything, but there were times I started feeling queasy in my stomach as I am the type to look away when passing road kill. Still okay for children though, they will probably find it funny if they can sit through the slow scenes. If bringing your kids, go to the matinée and save some money, otherwise wait for the DVD.
The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien (2009)
The American Way!
I'm a manager at McDonalds (not really). I replaced the previous manager that went on to bigger and better things (At Radio Shack). I just found out that I lost my job because HE can't figure out how to put batteries in a remote. Yea, this is BS, but I think you get the picture.
Conan, I have no doubt we will be seeing much more of you in the future. You did a fantastic job with NBC (Like me at Micky-D's), I am now happier working with industry making 10 times what I did before. You will find something new and make it AWESOME. And - you will be decorated for your work!
White Hunter Black Heart (1990)
Getting ready to watch "The African Queen"? Watch this first.
Getting ready to watch "The African Queen"? Watch this first. Not a Memorable movie, but enjoyable. Clint did a superior job acting like a complete lunatic (Or was he the sanest one there). And the "Lawnmower man" acted exactly like he always does, not much emotion and reads all his lines in the same key. But it still keeps you wondering "How in the hell did this movie ever get made?"
