An absolute disgrace
17 November 2021
Subpar acting, horrible dialogs, and a clear ideological bias make up one of the most unwatchable series I have had to endure. This is neither a good representation of Maradona's life nor the turbulent period of Argentina's history at the time. Stay away from this unless you want to be dumber than when you started watching.

Boring and predictable

Warning: Spoilers
Anti-climatic, illogical, and predictable. Especially the ending when the main character stays with the crazy woman instead of the woman he loves. At least we got to see Samara Weaving's boob, which was a nice addition.

Movie of the year!
10 February 2020
Wonderful performances by the two lead actors drive a very entertaining and believable plot that manages to keep you tense and engage for the duration of the film. Photography is gorgeous, and is accompanied by an amazing music score and even better cinematography. For me this is the true Best Picture of the 2020 oscars. Amazing experience that I definitely will repeat. The only thing bad about this movie was that i didn't get to enjoy the "after-taste" due to learning of the untimely death of Kobe Bryant as soon as I left the theater. #Mamba4Ever

Entertaining and good, but very overrated
10 February 2020
A good movie with an appealing enough plot that has some interesting twists. However, nothing justifies a Best Picture award: No outstanding performances, no memorable soundtrack, not even the sets/photography are good enough to leave a lasting impression. Plain and simple its a solid script that entertains for its duration, with a somewhat critical view of society which people who think of themselves as movie critics will cling on to justify that this movie can win Best Picture award, especially being paired up against Joker and 1917, both of which are vastly superior in every aspect.

Tries to be deep, but fails miserably

Great directing, ok performances, good sound mixing and ambience. Thats it. The "hidden" message behind the movie was clear after 2 minutes of watching, after which, the film develops into a plotless string of unnecessary situations that attempt to captivate but don't deliver. Also Javier Bardem is unbearable (not just in this movie) Severely overrated. Aronofsky's worst one by far.

Not bad, not great. Fits and gives a nice closing

Warning: Spoilers
I saw this movie yesterday, and I guess I was a tad too excited for it. The film is not bad, by any means, but also its definitely not great. There are a lot of plot holes (video of super top secret facility, edited hours before Gabrielle's death, with voice in off and such....), no deep explanation of why Charles is the way he is, or about what happened to the rest of the x-men. Boyd Holbrook delivers (as usually), as well as Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart, not so Laura, to the point (due to script issues maybe) that me and the people who watched the movie with me did not care at all about her character. The emotional attachment you as the viewer are supposed to feel just wasn't there, unlike with Charles Xavier, whose death was a great moment.

I did love the brutality of the action and Jackman's portrayal of Wolverine. All in all, considering that this is their last movie playing said characters, it was fitting, but could have DEFINITELY been a lot better.
