No One Will Save You (2023)

Started out good.

First half of the movie went well. Also the chasing around when the first alien arrived. It was excited. But after that, it went into some very unrealistic progress, just spinning around and leading nowhere. The actor did what she could, but the writer simply ran out of ideas.

So much potential just wasted. Nothing wrong with direction, sound, light, acting, CGI etc. All good, but the script.

It's really frustrating again and again to watch how movies / Series starts up promising and then ending up going down the drain. Why doesn't anyone call out, when showed to a test audience?

As a 45 minutes short movie it would have been perfect.

Sisu (2022)

Wrong Genre.

I was expecting a war movie. A serious war movie from Finland. What a dissapointment. Nazies are only represented as a Tank crew, a Truck crew and a motorcycle crew. That's it. There are simply to many stupid scenes that makes no sense. I.e 2 women clearing the road for landmines. Walking in each side tied to a rope to the tank. They didn't even cover 10 % of the road :-) that kind of scenes make me laugh.

And now it hits me. The genre is ADVENTURE. Not War/Action. So, before watching this, make your mind ready for a ridicioulous unreal story based on a legend as powerfull as Superman. Then you will have a fun ride, and if i have knewed that I would have rated 7.

The Last of Us (2023– )

Disappointed.

Just a spin off from Walking dead. Now Zombies with mushroom heads, even giants normally seen in Computer games or Lord of the Rings. Father "daughter" relasionship. The deaf one. The Cult Leader. The Crazy woman leader. They are all there.

12 years after the first episode of Walking dead, and nothing, absolutely nothing new to this one. To many stupid scenes like, running in front of a truck on the middle of the road insted of seeking safe place in a building. A young girl killing grown up armed men, almost with her bare handes and a jumpknife. Of course a single girl carrie the solution to the virus. Of course the proganonist was responsible for his daughters dead, and hence don't like anyone. No need to wait for season two.

Nine Perfect Strangers (2021)

A gem.

This is just one of those rare gems. A funny, well executed feel good movie. Take a deep breath, expect nothing, just watch, listen, laugh and learn. Beautiful.

The Old Guard (2020)

Waste of time

Two hours waste of time. Even one hour would have been boring. Absolutely nothing happen in this movie. The music is, I don't know, out of context? Small pieces of hip hop and other stupid stuff just popping up regardless of what is going on in the movie. Sentences not fulfilled before cutting to other scenes. A lot of dialogue with no purpose. It's like a Superman movie, we spend the first 30 minutes learning about Supermans background, and then the movie explodes into action. Except in this one we only learn/listen for 2 hours and the 10 min. of action is worse than movies form the 80s. We started 4 people to see them movie, three of them left within 80 minutes. Just painfull to watch and SO boring.

Ending setup for at part II - but i'm also gone.

Open 24 Hours (2018)

Very well done

54 year old horror fan. I've seen it all. Nothing scares me anymore, and I'm mainly interesting in how the setup, the acting, the killings, the suspense etc. is done. More analyzing than living my self into it. Boy have I seen a lot of crab. Yes we have seen it all before, nothing new to horror movies since Samara arose from the well. However this little flick is well executed. Nice directing, nice location, good music, well acting. What is real and what is not. Taking the lead actors background into consideration it sure is a messed up mind. Yes the mirror trick is well exposed, and the killer moving from one location to another in 1 minute is unrealistic. All horror movies are unrealistic. Bear that in mind, and watch it anyway. I was entertained and didn't felt bored for a minute.

The 12th Man (2017)

Not what I thought.

This is more of a survival movie than a war movie. 1 mans 2 hours of struggeling to get from Norway to Sweden after an unsuccessfull attempt of sabotage, with help from local. Nice pictures and also some good acting. But i was bored. Seen it all before from other of survival movies. Allthough this is a true story, i didn't know about the hero before I saw the movie. I guess if you are a part of the norwegien history it's a masterpiece. Unfortunately i'm not.

Castle Rock (2018–2019)

I was looking forward to watching this movie. It started out nice but after 4 episodes, it simply had to fast forward at some points. Suspense music, suspense pictures, but nothing happend. Good acting, but it really never got interesting neither caught my attention. I didn't care about who was who, in what time, and who would die. The movie died after espisode 4. So borring.

Anti Hollywood

Strange movie, I was well entertained as the movie went forward. I had an expectation of a greater conflict warming up. The conflict never came, in fact, nothing really happend. The location, the actors are just so anti-hollywood that I still felt entertained. Do not expect any climax of any kind, just enjoy Meinhard - the "dangerous" legionary and a view into a Romanian village, far far away.

Hearts Beat Loud (2018)

Ordinart people in an ordinary movie

A view into an ordinary family. Nothing happends, absolutely nothing. Follow your neighbours a couple of days instead and you will experience more, no matter who they are. Although it touch me some in the ending.

Unsane (2018)

I read some of the reviews and my expectations was low. Maybe thats why I found it thrilling. I would call it a small film with few locations and few actors. It feels like a low budget movie but make no mistake, it is well played and keeps your attention all the way to the end. It also have some good points about women being stalked and how they often are left alone and no-one to help. Also a strike to the moneylovers in the healthcare that seems totally careless to clients as long as the insurance are paid. Whether it true or not, I don't know but I do know that a lot of women out there a haunted by monsters all over the world and often left to deal with it themself. and that's was she do, or does she? Looks for yourself.I liked it a lot.

What a waste

What a shame, what a waste of time. Boring, boring and boring. Unrealistic, stupid, very bad acting. It make no sense at all. Maybe something to show in schools at 7-8 grade. Just to show how little young people knows about history from that period.I really don't know why he did this. Looks like he collected his family and some friends, he could not even fill up the gas chamber, some people smiled and looked into the camera. You maybe think "I must have to see for my self" but don't, really - move on with your life, and do you want to know about Auschwitch - Google or Youtube it. Tons of material with a lot more sense than this.
