LOL (2012)
More for teens but still good
This is a movie that is angled towards younger teens. However, it touches on things that many teens experience throughout their life. It does a wonderful job of following Lola while she is attempting to learn how to be her own person.
While the acting was a bit interesting at times it really is one of Miley's better movies. Leaps and bounds past The Last Song which was a wonderful movie even though her acting was not.
If your expecting a wonderful master minded movie then this is not for your. However if your looking for an easy watch then it's not a waste of time.
Flicka 2 (2010)
Finally a good sequel
So I have never really been a fan of sequels. I tend to think they get over done and have terrible story lines. But being a fan of horses and of course the first Flica I gave it a shot. It is a touching story of a stero-typical teenage girl who is forced to go live with her father in the middle of nowhere. The acting was good, when the actress who was playing Carrie had to cry it was believable and I even cried along with her. The actor playing Jake has a pretty good voice even though his lyrics were kind of lame. The actress playing Amy did a good job on playing that mean girl every movie has to have. I liked Tim in the first Flick but wasn't disappointed with Hank. Overall I would watch it again, and you should to.
The Last Song (2010)
I was surprised
I went into this movie with an open mind. While I am not a Miley Cryus fan I wanted to give her a chance.I had read the book several times, and think it is one of Nicholas Sparks best books. I had read the critics reviews and I think they were all dramatic. Miley did a wonderful job in this role, however I do think the little boy playing Jonah did better.Greg was amazing as the father and brought tears to my eyes throughout the whole ending of the movie. Liam? Well he is good looking and has his shirt off several times in the movie. But you would never know he has an Australian accent. Either way, do not judge this movie before you see it. You may come out just as surprised as I was.
Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief (2010)
I loved the books, enjoyed the movie
I went into this movie already knowing they made changed. And for me, the changes didn't kill the movie. I don't know if it was that I am just so happy the finally made the movie or what, but I really enjoyed it. Yes with some of the things they chose to take out like Kronos will make it hard for them to keep going. But I do think they can still make a second one. And if this first one does well in theaters, how are they going to pass on the opportunity to make more money? This is Hollywood, they will find a way. If your expecting to follow the book totally don't get your hopes up, but go into it with an open mind. You might find you like it more then you think you will.
ALSO! WHEN YOU THINK THE MOVIE IS OVER, ITS NOT!!!!! STAY FOR JUST A MINUTE OR TWO AFTER THE CREDITS START.
