Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor (2013)
Loved this Movie
Oh my goodness this movie was the bomb! First I must say that the lesson taught in this movie is accurate, cheat on your loving faithful spouse and there will be consequences, you may not see the consequences immediately but your sins will eventually find you out, and they did for the unfaithful wife. And she had to live with the consequences even though everyone forgave her for the infidelity. Secondly, it showed how easily it is to fall into an inappropriate relationship, that's why I think Kim Kardashian did a great job of acting (although largely playing what she does in real life, which is to be concerned with the externals). It was Kim's influence of external beauty that fueled the fire of the movie. I tell you this film is one that will keep you on the straight and narrow in your personal marital life. This is a must see movie!
I Give It a Year (2013)
This was a great Movie!
Stephen Merchant played the part of Danny the best friend of the husband in the movie and he was totally hilarious since he was so politically incorrect and just plain obnoxious. He says everything that comes to mind and it usually invokes a mouth opening response and no one seems to challenge him. I love his part in the movie but I have to tell you Anna Faris' (character Chloe) sort of surprises you with an unbelievable body when she shows off her curves in a lingerie store. Just for the part of Stephen Merchant and Anna Faris this is a must see movie, although the rest of the characters do a great job as well, but those two in particular really stick in you head.
Divorce Invitation (2012)
What a Movie!
Wow, this movie knocked me off my socks! I just stumbled across it accidentally and couldn't believe how the story line unfolded. It really is the perfect train wreck. The male actor has an awesome and beautiful wife that anyone would fall in love with but an even more beautiful reconnection with his high school sweet heart right after he marries his perfect wife. What to do? He certainly makes a lot of mistakes but in all honesty anyone would struggle in the situations he was in. I think my mouth was open in shock for most the movie as I waivered with his every decision. But in the end the train wreck works itself out. Awesome movie!
Good Luck Charlie (2010)
I hope another network picks up this show
I love GLC and me and my whole family watch all the episodes on Netflix. Whenever a new season is released that messes up our whole weekend. On June 13, 2013 it was announced that the Disney network would not pick up the show for another season. Bummer! There aren't many shows my family with small children can watch together so when one comes along we embrace it. In fact I was lucky enough to take my oldest daughter to a taping of one of the shows in the 3rd season. It was a night we will never forget, talk about classy! Now, audience tickets are in such high demand for that show that you can't get a ticket anymore, and just then Disney decides to drop the show. According to David Glowacki, the ticket person, GLC is the most popular show in the History of Disney. You'd think they would renew it for just a few more years, hopefully some other network will pick up the show.
Gigi: God's Little Princess (2006)
I love Gigi
My 5 year old loves Gigi.
I watch it with her all the time and I also find it entertaining as well. We take the Gigi DVD's with us in the car and the kids watch it on the road as well.
As TV and Movies become increasingly more dark it's nice to have integrity building characters like Gigi with real life families that deal with normal problems.
My family pretty much watches anything Cheryl McKay writes since her faith is expressed in her work.
She rocks!
Taylor's Wall (2001)
Awesome Movie, it was touching and real
Often times I find teenage movies depressing and hopeless. But the storyline in Taylor's wall was real and struck a sensative nerve. I hope everyone gets a chance to see this movie! But if you are a man you may want to see it alone since it's sure to make you cry.
