Harper's Island (2009)
The best show EVER (underline the ever)
One season of all of this? You must be kidding me. This is good stuff here. A nice preset ending. A genius storyline. It has it all. Though sometimes it doesn't seem to fit. Or the time line is a little "out there". Apart from that, it is great and full of suspense. It applies creativity yet when things float too far away and you begin to hesitate, it yanks the strings of boring writing strongly back to immense fear and excitement! No characters in this show are just filler spots. Because they all have a meaning. Or a dark side, or even a light side. This show has many secrets within the lines that are very interesting. Can't wait for the more soon to come episodes. Its simply genius.PLEASE CBS HEAR ME OUT AND MAKE ANOTHER SEASON. OR A SPIN-OFF. OR SOMETHING. Thank you for your time.
Be Kind Rewind (2008)
Put in a world of Excellence un-noticed
1 nomination? Bullcrap! This is a nice movie worth the time to watch! It actually could be fun for the whole family! If you comedic relief... well watch this. Smart casting. Jack Black was a great choice. And Mos Def impressed. But it has a sucking point. Yes I'm talking about it's the kind of movie that leaves you hanging. The only reason it got 1 nomination is because it didn't have a BIG promo. Not many people watched it. It's a great movie. It has a great plot. It has great actors. Great direction. I think it's GREAT. It's smart, funny, just not promoted well. It brings life back to VHS. And has brings back the old times and is a rebellion movie against the DVD's.
August Rush (2007)
More of an August "Flush"
Bad: This movie was terribly horrible. Bad acting for one, the kid waltz's around playing a guitar like a piano (total disgrace of a guitar) and speaks rarely at all in the movie. Halfway through the movie I felt like going to sleep. I fail to see any excitement in the movie. I was also bewildered by the poor INTRO. This movie, well I just didn't get it or get why the director even thought of this piece of bull-crap. This movie is like a "Pursuit of Happiness" wanna-be. WANNA-BE.
Good: If you are highly emotional and consider things "heartbreaking" then go waste your money on this cry me a river garbage.
Verdict: I'd rather watch "House of the Dead".
A Cry in the Wild (1990)
I wanna break this movie with my "Hatchet"
- Bad Stuff: This movie is real crap. Bad stunts for one thing, they looked so fake I thought this was "The Twilight Zone". The flashbacks are pretty much useless. One part of the movie he thinks taking his anger out on a window will make his life better. I wanna know the casting director and if he was high because the acting, even from the adults was horrid. A kissing scene in this movie even sucked. This movie killed the book. The book was great. I highly do not recommend this movie. Not even for educational purposes.
- Good Stuff: I don't know what I can say really. There is some suspense parts that get you going, but they are quickly shot down by the bad stunt work and acting.
- My Verdict: Do not watch.
House of the Dead (2003)
Bits and Pieces
UHhhhhhh... well this movie... it's okay, I've been watching youtube House of the Dead arcade game videos and this movie followed the story line pretty well, stuck to the storyline, but I found poor acting and direction. Uwe Boll, maybe this movie would've rolled in more dough if ya had a better movie history. Just sayin'. I have to say the 360 Turn Table effect is pretty cool though dangerous. I think the video game bits were kinda cool. I found myself expecting more horror than action though. Karma is a cool character. But House of the Dead 2 disappointed me deeply. I don't get why in this movie Castillo(villain) is sheep white unlike the other zombies. Some things don't match up, like the grenade wasting and wild bullets. This is an OK movie.
Kaw (2006)
deja vu
this is just like Jeepers Creepers 2, bus, leave for a while then come back, attack bus and people in it. I got so sick of the deja vu. It was an OK movie. But I hope to see an improved Kaw 2. This movie is also just like Alfred Hitchcocks "The Birds". There are parts of Kaw where I just want it over, or to get to the scary parts. I wish this movie had more individuality. But what you get is what you get... i guess. I think there also could've been better acting. On acting guidelines it's about a 2/5. You people may wonder why this movie has no awards and nominations. well, their commercialism is extremely low. There was no "The Birds 2". So that might be a sign about Kaw. Kaw is a modernized "The Birds" to me. But it is in a total other league. My verdict, watch Kaw if there's nothing else to watch or if you don't believe my comment.
