The Prince & Me (2004)
Please.....
Oh my god, someone please gouge my eyes out. This was SUCH a horrible movie. It never really looked that good but when you and your friend are bored, you have little money, and your friend can't stay out past 10 and you missed the start of the other movies by ten minutes, desperation sets in. I didn't exactly expect this to be an Academy Award Winner, but I also didn't think it was gonna be so bad that I would give serious thought to demanding a refund. The story is lame and predictable, the characters annoying, and the dialog is downright awful. Paige just irks the hell out of me. That's probably because that is the only type of character that Julia Stiles plays now, the strong independent nothing-gets-in-my-way-including-men type character. Do yourself a favor: avoid this movie like the plague, don't ever let desperation make you watch this movie. I don't give it any stars out of ten. In fact, I'm making a larger scale so I can take stars away.
Donnie Darko (2001)
Strange
Okay, I will admit first that I didn't watch the entire movie. But I did watch a pretty big chunk of it. It's honestly a very weird movie. It may not have been that bad a movie, but I really just did not like it. The storyline is pretty confusing. Especially the part with Donnie kind of having weird split personality things. I know monster tells him to do bad stuff, but the different personalities just don't work that well. I don't really know why. Secondly I don't really see how all the characters tie into the same story. It seems like there are way too many people and way too many different storylines. It gets a bit confusing. I wasn't the biggest fan, but others may disagree.
Cruel Intentions 2 (2000)
Ripoff....
This movie was so terrible. It was made up of gratuitous sex scenes that seemed fake and cheesy. I was purely disappointed by this film. I pretty much saw it as a ripoff of the original and much better "Cruel Intentions." The plot is pretty much the same idea. The only things that seems to be different is the ending of the movie. Which was a horrible ending. Do not see this movie. Definitely go watch the original with Ryan Phillipe and Sarah Michelle Gellar. It is like ten times better.
Cruel Intentions (1999)
Wickedly Delightful.....
This is one of my all-time favorite movies. It's one of those movies I never get sick of or hate no matter how many times I watch it. The cast is amazing in it. The plot is very well written and played out. And despite what many people say, it does resemble somewhat what kids are like in high school. Which is refreshing to see considering all the unrealistic portrayals of high school. I cannot express how much I love this movie. Definitely go see it!!!!!!
Fastlane (2002)
Trash
This show is complete trash. How can people actually like this show. It's all flashy outer layers, there's no real substance. All you have is the already skanky Tiffani Thiessen prancing around in nothing and a bunch of car chase scenes. The show is basically about nothing. Well, there are storylines, but you can't find them because you're too distracted by the tiresome car scenes. I would give this show about a 3/10.
Tru Confessions (2002)
Great Movie
I really liked this movie. Shia LaBeouf did an amazing job. I loved how it wasn't one of the typical Disney movies where everyone is all nice and perfect and the problem is always solved. Some of the scenes made me feel so bad. I just wanted to reach out and give Eddie a hug. And although Tru can be kind of mean, you still feel bad for her because she tries so hard to deal with everything. I would give this movie a 9/10
Crossroads (2002)
Oh my God...
Oh my God.... someone please stop Britney before she even thinks about doing another movie. This was terrible!!! No, wait, terrible isn't enough to even cover it. I started watching have some hopes that it would be decent, but after I saw Britney prancing around in her underwear, it turned into "I came, I saw, I mocked, and it deserved it." Okay. Well, let's see. Where do I begin? Oh right.. BRITNEY CAN'T ACT IF HER LIFE DEPENDED ON IT!!! My god I could do better and I'm talentless. And that plot was so ridiculously working for Britney!!! Number one, she sings at every freakin' moment she can (and she really can't sing) and number 2, why was her life so easy? The other two just plain get screwed over. Britney has a loving dad, she's "smart" people want to date her, and she gets a singing deal. I don't remember their character names but Zoe Saldana, bitchy, fiancee cheats on her, and then she's Britney's back-up singer???? Same thing with Taryn, she gets pregnant and the father couldn't care less, she's been raped, she's like from a trailer, and the moment she realizes she wants the baby, she loses it. What a terrible movie, I'm gonna have to go into the negatives to rate this one. -4/10
Halloweentown II: Kalabar's Revenge (2001)
Dear Lord...
Now, I've seen some pretty bad sequels in my day, but this one was just plain terrible!!!!! The acting was worse, the story was lame, and Kimberly J. Brown really grates my cheese. She can't act!!!!!! I hated this one, the first one may not have been Oscar material, but it was a hell of a lot better. Did anyone else realize that they had a completely different looking Halloweentown? That was a pretty dumb mistake. I guess the thing that really got me too was that the ending was almost the same as the first, Marnie stands up to the big bad using her own will power... how tacky. This movie gets a 1/10
Lizzie McGuire (2001)
Not that great...
I really don't like this show. I'm not sure exactly what it is that makes me hate it. One thing I can say I especially don't like is Matt, Lizzie's younger brother. They try so hard to make him funny, but they just fail miserably. I guess another reason why I don't like it could be that all the shows are basically the same, Lizzie wants something and doesn't get it, she fails/succeeds and it goes bad, and then she learns a lesson from it. It also could be that Lizzie is a brat. If her friends aren't agreeing with her, then she hates them, and if her parents don't giver her what she wants, then she hates them. This show isn't pretty bad, I'd give it a 1/10
Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997)
Excellent
Buffy the Vampire Slayer is without a doubt the best show on television. Some people think it's too violent and raunchy (which in my opinion it's not as bad as some shows out there), but if those people could look past that, then they'd see that portrays life the way it really is. What most people don't realize is that the demons on the show are just metaphors for lessons in our lives. Buffy is one of the most realistic shows out there. It shows that life isn't all nice and cute, it shows that sometimes we are gonna face tough decisions and we may not always make the right choice. The thing that I love most is that the main character is the perfect role model. She's not really perfect and that's okay with her, she makes mistakes and doesn't always learn from them right away, and most of all, she always tries her hardest. Another thing that's really cool about Buffy, is that she's a FEMALE (finally!!!!!) who's strong emotionally and physically. I really like this show, of course there are some episodes that kind of make you go, "ummmm, okay" but each episode and season is unique in it's own way.
Season 1: Season one was a fun time that really introduced every one.
Season 2: Season 2 was great. It was the season that really dealt with the lessons of love. Season 3: Season 3 was the season that really explored high school. It showed the real way high school is. Most people didn't like how there was a type of strain of the friendships, but I liked it, it made it seem very realistic. My favorite episode from this season was "Earshot" which truly portrayed teenagers. It showed the isolation and confusion that all adolescents feel. Season 4: Season 4 was a little strange I'll admit. It was probably my least favorite of all the seasons. This dealt a little more with college life and how hard the first year can be. Season 5: I would have to say that Season 5 was my favorite, it was an incredible journey. And I say journey for a reason. This is when they really explored what a slayer is. Of course I was saddened by Buffy's death, but it was also a revelation, because in that moment Buffy truly realized what it meant to be a slayer. I loved this season, it was probably the show's strongest one. Season 6: Season 6 was very sad and depressing, but I still liked it. It was great because it showed just how hard it is to grow up and have to make the right decisions. Season 7: While season 7 is not over yet, it is off to a great start. I'm happy the episodes are a lot lighter than last year, but they still deal with tough issues. My favorite episode so far has to be "Help". I hope that this season continues the way it started, if it does it'll do great.
Boy Meets World (1993)
Terrible
This show has become so terrible. In the beginning it was pretty good and it would make you laugh. But now it's overly dramatic and unrealistic. Mr. Feeney is always their teacher, they are all in the same classes and the whole Corey and Topanga thing was ridiculous. They started breaking up and making up way too many times. While it was funny at times, the whole idea of making Eric dumber and dumber was kind of, well, dumb. Daniel Fishel really can't act so all of her dramatic scenes were terrible. And the whole idea of Topanga and Corey never being with anyone else and them never really fighting, was kind of unrealistic. I mean, how can you only date one person and always think they are truly your soul mate? So all in all, this show was a waste of a time slot. I would give it a 0/10
The Exorcist (1973)
Scary as Hell
How can people say this movie is not scary? Not only does it have horror aspects, it is also deals with religion, a very scary topic on its own. The fact that this is all based on a true story makes it even more frightening. The idea that Satan can possess people is terrifying. There are so many scary things in this movie, the flashing white faces, the way Reagan looks at the end of the movie, and don't get me started on the creepy voices. It makes you think just how strong your religion is. I would give this movie 10/10, I'd give it a 2/10 but that's only because it gave me nightmares for weeks.
Lilo & Stitch (2002)
Awesome!!!
I can say nothing but good things for this movie! This is possibly one of Disney's best movies ever. The idea of having an antihero was a bold step for Disney, but definitely a brilliant one. Although Stitch may not possess the best qualities, you still fell in love with him and felt for Lilo and Stitch and how hard Lilo tried to change him. I loved the idea of having Lilo be like an outcast. The dialogue and gestures really made you feel during this movie. Most movies that are supposse to be sad just make you feel irritated, and most movies that are funny just make you feel bored, but this movie makes you feel the emotions they are trying to convey. When Lilo is sad, you feel sad. I would give this movie a 10/10!!!!!!
Sweet Home Alabama (2002)
Great Movie
I just went to see this movie and all I can say is really good. Although the plot is predictable, you still want to see how everything happens. It's a story where you can relate to the characters, you identify with Melanie, the not-so-perfect girl trying to hide her past and Jake the sweet husband blaming himself forthe past. The jokes may not be over-the-top funny, but for a movie like this, it works. I would give this movie a 9/10 maybe a 10/10.
Eureeka's Castle (1989)
The Best!!!!
I remember watching this show everyday when I was little. It was one of the best shows out there. It taught you lessons about life in a fun, imaginative way. It had something that most children's show's don't have today, creativity. The idea of using dragons and castles to teach kids is a great way because it grabs their attention and keeps them hooked. I miss this show dearly.
Pearl Harbor (2001)
Horrible
I can say nothing good about this movie. This was one of the worst movies I have ever seen. The love story is cheesy and the war scenes were dragged on. That was the longest three hours of my life. WARNING: Spoiler Information: I hated the ending. It made the girl seem like a really big tramp. She bounced between friends. I hated this movie. I would not go see this movie or buy it if I were you. The plot is weak and unoriginal. Save your money for a better movie, like "Silence of the Lambs."
