Past Midnight (1991)
A Better Grade of B Movie
5 January 2003
Whilst this film is not going to re-invent the Suspense/Thriller genre it views as one that could have been an A movie with a little more money and a bit of promotion. Certainly not with a change of cast. The twists, the developing romantic theme, all make this worth your viewing time. Rutger Hauer has his own unique brand of acting and Natasha Richardson can not only act but is rather cute.

Only the French
22 October 2002
What do you get if you combine; Period Drama/Kung Fu/Romance/Horror/Erotica?. In most instances a b-movie turkey! But there are always exceptions. Brotherhood of the Wolf is one of them. Atmospheric settings. Matter of fact (beliveable) characters. A storyline you can follow without guessing what is to come. All this is good. But would be unremarkable but for the camera/sound work. How do they do it?. I can't describe it well enough. I saw the film and loved it. I bought the DVD as soon as it was available. Only the French can put that much style in a film and make it seem effortless.
