Thrilled crime-drama, but not "enough" worth.
22 April 2013
Breaking Point (showed as Order of Redemption in my cable-TV) was the crime drama movie which could make everyone go to the deepest of darkness. The movie blasted viewers with violence, drugs, and especially, women's abusive which more than a half of women in the world could disgust this film.

The plot is good in the side of drama, how the protagonist fight with his cruel past and the "bad bad" drug. I have to credit Tom Berenger for his performance in drama scenes. Rather than showing himself the "war-hero" as in his many films, Berenger was very good in expressing Steven Luisi a very poor character. Although, in the other part, I think he was just "an old man" with nothing special.

But the things that I was very surprise is the acting of Busta Rhymes. I had to praise him for his outstanding role which could made him advances to "Hall of Shame" (Shame just means antagonists). Every time he was shown on the screen, he could make "Al Bowen" to be the "over-the-top" nasty mobster. I believe that, as long as his character exists, everyone will want to "break him into pieces".

For other casts, Sticky Fingaz could made me pity with his fate. He was pretty good with the climax scene. Armand Assante is also well-done for his arrogant dubious "Marty Berlin".

However, I think the film crew cannot come out right with the mix of violence and drama sides which is the drawbacks of Breaking Point. They boost too much violence only to sell bad guys' role. Another thing is that the last scene is too silly and needless.

As overall, this movie is OK for shaking your heart and make you wondering "how the world is so bad", but it doesn't make me pleased as the worth- watching movie.

Mr. Nice Guy (1997)
7/10
One's masterpiece of Jackie Chan
21 October 2011
Many guys would praise Mr.Nice Guy (Yat goh hiu yan) as one of the best Hong Kong's action flick during Jackie Chan's era. In my opinion, this was one of his "masterpiece" in his actor's life. What would happened if the normal chef with his unexpected martial arts skill involved with the deadly situation concerning the significant video containing the busted drug selling?

Unstoppable, breath taking and over the limit action is a thing that Mr.Nice Guy give us. Jackie Chan showed his stellar performance which can made me firmly believed that he is the best "action hero". He extremely concentrated all of his action scenes even it was very risk. I also surprised that Chan starred this film when he was 43! He could do many risk scenes at this age!

The film also proof many critics' comment about Richard Norton's outstanding villain role. He portrayed himself as the heinous, nasty and remorseless Giancarlo who can made the audience curse him "to the deep hell". This wicked guy was the mixture of the aggressive criminal, the merciless mob boss, and the abusive man. I believed that if Mr.Nice Guy is the Hollywood's motion picture, Richard Norton could won the Oscar.

About directing, Sammo Hung numerously surprised me when I knew his position as the film's director since he is the iconic actor with the great action skill. (However, Mr.Nice Guy was really his 36th works from his 37 movies he directed.) Hung gave us the quality action film which treated audiences with all of emotion. Funny, comedy, anger and satisfying. Movie's climax scene is the part that I suggested all of you utterly "don't miss" because you will be poped-up and shouted "Oh Hell Yeah!"

However, I didn't like some point in this movie. The intense and oftentimes women's beating is the scene that I mostly hated. Even it was necessary to show how bad that a villain was, but Sammo Hung used it too frequent. Maybe it was the Chinese's action film culture, so every director had to do?

To sum up, this movie is very good for action movies' fan. However, it's not suitable for children to watch it.

Nonsense Ninja Movie
10 October 2011
Warning: Spoilers
Many movies about Ninja have introduced to us because of interesting culture and action. However, you can't trust that every Ninja movie are good. Revenge of Ninja is one example of Ninja movies' "fault".

Somebody in this page maybe praised this movie and like it because how it present the action flick. But for me, unreasonable things came up all of 90 minutes. Did you think that a lot of henchmen with the machine guns can lose to an "one and only" police who just punched them? Yes, he is not John McClaine or The Terminator or JCVD, but is this foolish us?

I am laugh at the interview of Sam Firstenberg, the director, which was posted in this page's trivia. If he thought that he is the best director, I don't think so. He is just an "amateur" director. Bad arrangement of the story, some unreasonable scenes, and particularly the "kidslike" action scene. You put many of Ninja weapons in the movie, but only end in very silly way? I can guarantee that all of you will shocked when everything is over. Oh! Bring my money back!

For the cast, Arthur Roberts was OK with his villain role, but Shô Kosugi failed. He had no look of the great protagonist, especially when he still think that "his friend" didn't betrayed him. How fool? However, I praised of Kane Kosugi due to his action ability and maybe this movie made him "the second protagonist" because he appeared in many scenes liked he was the main hero.

I accept that Ninja has a very exclusive character and style. But if you didn't understand it so good, please don't think that you can pick it up and film it easily, because you are trying to "bullsh*t" the audience. Thus, I firmly think that we have other good Ninja movies to watch rather than Revenge of the Ninja.

I extremely love it!!!
6 October 2011
If you are the hardcore movie fan, particularly comedy fan, this movie rocks! Everything is over the top, but only for a very big laugh from the audiences.

I saw this movie after a long time of Charlie Sheen's big bad news. However, he had a great look of the main actor even in comedy movie. Lloyd Bridges also showed his outstanding performance as the poker face comedian. He made me think of the late Leslie Nielsen. Oh god! the United States has the Rambo president!

Every gag that we see in this movie are non-sense, silly, and flawlessly laughing matter. However, I love this and I will grant that Hot Shots! Part Deux is one of the greatest comedy movie in all time!

Jonah Hex (2010)
3/10
Hero movies' hall of shame
13 August 2011
Many guys want to see some of the quite good superhero movie and many films are very fit as their choices. However, as my opinion, Jonah Hex is not.

I think Jonah Hex is one of the superhero movies' "fault". Josh Bolin's character looked too weak. He should have been better than I saw because Hex is "hero". (Maybe it's due to he actually the hero with no supernatural power like Batman) If you saw "Darkman", you could see how Liam Neeson's Darkman showed his furiously revenge against his nemesis. However, Jimmy Hayward (director), Mark Neveldine(screenplay), and Brian Taylor (screenplay) join together to "destroy" Jonah Hex's character. He looked like the "old" man with no power.

Most of the film's plot is heavily changed from its original. I think that the crew maybe have to do it because they try not to show Jonah Hex "Begins", but "The Action". For the cast, Michael Fassbander showed himself as one of my opinion's "the most heinous villain". He portrayed Burke as the annoying guy who everyone wish him "go to hell". For John Malkovich, he still the professional main villain with the satisfying termination. Nevertheless, for about Josh Bolin, I am very sad with his performance.

Finally, I think Jonah Hex maybe have the fantastic fantasy scene, the OK plot and the great villain, yet it's not the pleasing superhero movies. Hey Viewer! Carefully before you decide to watch Jonah Hex.

Mix of Thrilling and Tragedy
11 August 2011
Operation Daybreak is the World War II movie which adopted from the actual Operation Anthropoid ,occurred in 1942, and some parts are from the novel "Seven Men at Daybreak". It's very interesting that this movie filmed use more than 80% of actual event as the screenplay and many things looked very realistic.

I think this movie has 2 parts. First is the thrilling for every viewer in the SOE's mission to kill General Reinhard Heydrick. (SOE is the British's Secret Service Organization before they changed to MI6) Everyone can see Heydrick's notoriously action which made him "the Butcher of Plague" before his assassination. This part can make everyone think about the operation and could judge about what Heydrick's deserved. Another part is about the tragedy that occurred until the end of the movie.

In my opinion, Operation Daybreak is the very interesting film which everyone who likes in history should see. The most part of the film is inspired by actual story even it is not the documentary. Nevertheless, due to it's not completely "hero" film, everyone should understand the crew and the circumstance during World War II in order to understand this movie.

At last, if you like history, this is one of your choices, but don't hope too much about "the beautiful way of the film".

The Marine 2 (2009 Video)
5/10
Better than The Marine but not the best action movie.
5 August 2011
The Marine 2 is an action movie which I interested when it was announced. I actually saw The Marine which made me "very very" disappointed with the "very very" bad ending and some amateur movie's directing style. (I have to blame this to Jon Bonnito and his crew who destroy the viewer's happiness) Therefore, I tried to watch The Marine 2 which I deeply hoped that it could be better.

After the ending. I thought the Marine 2 is better than its prequel. It didn't show anything that looked silly or unreasonable, but it elevated violence as well. We still saw the bomb flick and many intense scenes, especially in the second half of the film. However, for the overall it's not the whole "great" movie, but if you want to see the mixed of action and drama film, The Marine 2 is the one of your choices.

For me, it's suck
27 April 2011
Knockaround Guys is a crime film about the four sons of the big mobster who have to involve in the serious situation, their father's money.

At first, I am "very" very surprised that Vin Diesel received the supporting role as Barry Pepper's "friends" (or actually the bodyguard). If you think he is the film's main hero as he portray in many movie, change your mind.

For my comment, I think this movie had a big fault. They focused on their drama scene too much, so this very slow-paced film made me boring. They tried to show everyone's feeling even its not important for the film. Especially when Vin Diesel in his role, Taylor, beat up the bad guy in the bar. The film's crew made Diesel horribly due to his talkative dialog. I believe Steven Seagal will not act like this even he is in cold-blooded style.

Some good side of this movie maybe on three things. First, the simply but very interesting plot. How the guys do when they make the mob boss' money loss? I am also very surprised about some plot twist in the film's climax which made me thrill. Second, all of the main actors act very good. Even Vin Diesel still show his professional skill in acting. Barry Pepper made us believe that he can be "adult" even his father (maybe) never trust him. John Malkovich also shows his delightfully role too.

And the last one, the movie give us in the common opinion that you can find in many crime movies. "No one can rise in the bad side." The last scene of the film pleased me.

However, if you want to see the crime film. You still have many choices.

Driven to Kill (2009 Video)

Seagal's below average film
24 April 2010
I agree with some commentator who suggests that The Sony's day is over. This film is better than many Seagal's DVD-films under Sony's era. Driven to Kill (or Ruslan in my country's cable TV) doesn't cheat us by put another film's footage or make a suck cinematography. Action scenes are OK at one point, the crew use Seagal's unique action style "Get up and fight with me!" which Seagal tortures his enemy until they die in very simply way. (like one shot to death, or stab through the heart) However, some action is too long and looks boring to me.

I think the cast has a little problem. Dmitry Chepovetsky questions me for his role as Stephan. He should have more role in the movie even the movie try to deceive us that he maybe the mastermind behind the murder. (I admit that I think too much because I watch maybe plot-twisting movie!) Not only that but also Dmitry's look which is corny and like a jerk. Can you be more realistic? By the way, Igor Jijikine is OK for his villain role, his face tease me but I think they try to make the boss character's imposing.

In the overall, the film looks raw and barbaric in action scenes and normal scene. I surprised when I saw Robert Wisden (As Terry Goldstein) slap Catherine (Inna Korobkina) for no reason. I think this is very unnecessary scene. That's so important? Do the crew try to make him looks asshole? OK every men like him is asshole, but I think it is too much. By the way, the plot is doubtful in some point. How the characters in the film connect? If I don't find the further information, I will not understand the movie! Finally, Driven to Kill is better than many Seagal's DVD movie. I understand Seagals' attempt to make the movie. He is not the first-class Hollywood star likes in the past, but he try to do everything that he can does well which is filming. The movie is barbaric but if you don't care and you are Seagal's fan. It's OK for you.

Good Movie
13 April 2010
Warning: Spoilers
The Fifth Commandment is an average action movie. Not so good and not so bad. In the good side, its action sequences is quite well at one point. The movie doesn't make suck cinematography like some action DVD movie which make me fretful even the crew has a limited budget. Its drama scene also very good indeed especially between the brothers. Rick Yune and Bokeem Woodbine can make sense to me because of their imperfect lives. The movie is very proper in how to mix action and drama scenes.

Not only that but also how the crew make some thrilling things like the role of Max "Cool Breeze" Templeton. He maybe the bad guy who is the mastermind behind everything but at last, he is the really father who care their child so much! However, in the bad side. The Fifth Commandment has some unreasonable section of its plot. First, Miles Templeton should not died too fast. I actually expect when he died that he would come back surprisingly in the climax to help his younger brother, but my guess is wrong which make me unsatisfyingly.

Second, the movie is over the top in many point! Not only police in the movie who was killed too easily (Even in the police station!!!) but also the scene which Chance was tortured by the police. Hey! the story occurred in Thailand. Why you put some foreigner in that scene rather than use all of them Thai people? OK! They maybe police at all but that's very corny about some guy who was tortured in Thai police station by Thai police and foreigner police! (I mean those police in the movie only, not in reality.) And the last one, they make Thai police's look so bad! To be killed like a piece of cake and their barbaric action in Chance's torture scene. (I want to complain about that because I'm Thai people!) About the cast, even I feel unsuitable about Rick Yune's leading role because of his look, but I grant him later because his action is fit with the role. Roger Yuan has a fit look as the villain, not too much and not less than the standard. He makes me remember about Mr.Hertz in Shoot 'Em Up who died so hard and looks nasty. Bokeem Woodbine and Keith David also fit their role as well. However, Dania Ramirez's role as Angel is a little hecticness.

For the overall, the movie is OK. It can entertain you better than some action movie which has a suck plot and cinematography. I hope you will enjoy with The Fifth Commandment!

Jumper (2008)
6/10
If you're serious, please skip this
9 May 2009
Warning: Spoilers
Jumper is one of the most interesting movie in 2008. When I saw the advertisement about its. I was excited about the plot very much. However, when I completely saw the movie. It had a big mistake which the seriously movie fan will not accept this movie and the acceptance of it will be in the bad way.

I didn't have any problem with the cast. Samuel L. Jackson was very good in his villain role. He can prove everyone that he is one of the biggest Hollywood star because he could play in any role either leader role or villain role. Hayden Christensen looked very weak in his role due to he is not actually fighter, so it was very freak that the main leader actor was not the great fighter and usually be caught by the villain. Nevertheless, I had to against the role of Jamie Bell in the end of the movie, that was unreasonable. He should have some role in the end of the movie rather than get left behind and forget him. Not Only Bell but also Diane Lane's Mary Rice role too. She had the few obvious scene to participate. OK she was called in many point in the movie but she could have more participated in the movie.

Now this is the biggest issue of all. Jumper had a very big mistake in their plot. Even it is the fast-paced movie, but the continuity of this movie was very bad especially in the end of the movie. I was dumbfounded that Jumper should be one of the greatest movie in 2008 but everything goes in the opposite way. Many point in the movie was unreasonable and too easy, especially "the 2 jumpers" in the movie where is another and why the only two guys could have the big role to save all of Jumper. However, one thing that I have to commend to this movie's special effect. Jumper had a great graphic which could make some kind of fun to the movie fan even it had the big problem.

For the conclusion, Jumper had the very big plot hole which make this movie loss a lot of respect. Even the cast and the graphic were great, but the problem about plot damage the value of this movie. Nevertheless, Jumper could entertain everyone who didn't serious about how the movie is great. If you cared about the perfection of the movie please miss Jumper.

Payback (I) (1999)
5/10
Good and Bad
30 April 2009
This is one of the darkest film I have seen since I watched Clint Eastwood's Sudden Impact. (in the series of Dirty Harry) After I watched Payback. I think it had both of good and bad things in the movie which I will type later. However, I accepted that I have never seen The Straight Up version which was purely directed and edited by Brian Heldgeland (I have a chance only to see the information and how the Straight Up version was different from this version in 1999), so I will comment Payback without the feeling from Straight Up's information. (Cause I didn't watch Straight Up)

First thing that I have to say, Payback intruded womens right many times. I saw the scene that women was punched or slapped many times which could not see in the ordinary movie. (Usually the women in general movie was slapped for once or twice during the fight or when they try to lash into the men.) Maybe it was the intention of Brian Heldgeland to make this movie more crude and sensual; However, it was very unnecessary to use that kind of scene in the movie. OK it could be fine during Pearl and Val scene and also Val and Rosie scene because it was reasonable, but in the scene that Pearl was punched by a big fat guy. (I didn't know his name but I know he is Fairfax's henchmen) Even it looked like a joke but it looked silly and needless. Could you do in the different way? For next, even Payback trespass on the womens right like I said but the action scene and the cast is very good. You could see some satisfy action like the explosion or the cold-blooded killing which is the strength of this film. Also the cast like Mel Gibson who showed everyone that he is one of the Hollywood's legend. Gregg Henry who could made himself like the son of b*h, his villain role could be considered as the one of the most heinous villain in the world of Hollywood. Lucy Liu also great in this film, even she had this role before she got her peak in Charlie's Angel; However, she could entertain everyone with her vehement action, especially in the scene with Val.

Finally, I try to conclude my comment. This film has both of good and bad things. It was very good in a very satisfy and extreme action scene also the entertaining cast. However, due to this was the film-noir style and Brian Heldgeland try to make this movie dark and crude, so many thing in the movie was very bad liked the women's beating.

Until Death (2007)

Until Death is Great!
10 April 2009
I think everyone (including me) have got the biggest surprise on Jean-Claude Van Damme. Until Death maybe his first-ever movie which he doesn't show his martial art skill as same as his famous 360 degree karate kick. Likewise, Van Damme radically changed himself from his famous character as 100% handsome and gentle hero to become the narcotic and crooked cop who was too nasty to intimate.

I highly appreciated withVan Damme due to his ability to go on his role in this movie. Until Death didn't show any "hero-charcter" of Van Damme in many previous films, so it could be noted that "No more gentlemen in this film!" Full dark side character (in the first half time of the movie) and no more martial arts fight, but gun fight instead, even he could show some skill in some scene. (liked he show his skill to Van Huffel in the middle of the movie) However, Van Damme could show everyone that he wasn't only good in fighting or he can does only the fighting-action movie, but he could played the drama role too. His character was very amazing, a bad guy was changed himself after the shot to coma. I truly believe that Van Damme is one of the greatest actor in the Hollywood as same as Until Death is one of his greatest film in his acting career.

For other one, Stephen Rea did a good job, he looked very nasty for his role as Anthony Stowe's former partner who later became the drug kingpin. His look liked many heinous villain in the movie, motor mouth, ruthless and no mercy. Selina Giles, Mark Dymond, William Ash and other also OK with their role. Although, I think William Ash should have more role because after he helped Anthony Stowe, he didn't have much role and then he was shot during the big police's raid. As of all, I think the cast is very good.

For the plot, I think Until Death is the great movie. The plot of the dirty cop who turned later to be the good cop after a shot to coma is very interested, especially when the guy who received this role is the hero-character guy liked Jean-Claude Van Damme. In my opinion, the fast-paced telling of the movie is very clear to understand about what happened with Anthony Stowe at first and after he was shot and recovered from the coma status. Every scene looked realistic and reasonable. I also liked how the crew didn't put some women's hurting by men scene in this movie, I hated that stuff even it had to put in the movie for realistic because it looked nasty. Thus, Until Death is the very good film to show that some action movie didn't have to put Women's Hurting in their movie. I appreciated it.

However, some scene in Until Death was corny. Several black and white scene about the incident occurred during Anthony Stowe's coma is uncleared. What happened? It should have some explanation or talking by some character in the movie because it could make many one confused and it looked like the unnecessary scene. Furthermore, many body maybe not like the climax scene which shown the non-stop action because it didn't get to extreme and looked mediocre. Nonetheless, I think the climax scene could be like that because Until Death wasn't the fighting-action movie. I had a chance to watch both style of ending, North America version or European version. I was OK with both ending because the director and the crew maybe have their reason to make two versions of ending.

For the summary, I think Until Death is one of the great drama-action movies you should watch. The new style of Jean-Claude Van Damme's acting and the drama scene are the reason why you ought to find its DVD. Until Death is Great!

Very Interested and Very Good
7 April 2009
In my opinion, XIII is very interested TV-mini series. In the style of Bourne Identity, 24 and Shooter, XIII is one of the movie you should watch. Actually, I founded the additional information about this movie after I searched XIII's information in IMDb and I found that it had the video game in the same name. As a result, I knew that XIII was really the comic books but was made as video game and the movie later. It also inspired from Bourne Identity as well which made me don't surprise about how the movie was in its style.

For the cast, I was surprised that Val Kilmer had a role in the TV-mini series. (as same as I surprised that he played the villain role) He hasn't seen in the theater-releasing film for a long time, so I thought it liked a big surprise that a big superstar who used to be Batman and had many great role in the Hollywood film decided to play on the Franco-Canadian TV mini series. As The Mongoose, Kilmer played his role very well. I think everyone could not believe in his performance. Oh! Why our hero decided to play villain? He made everyone thrilled and hated him. So, I think he is one of the greatest Hollywood actor as same as John Travolta who had many experience as the good guy and the bad guy.

Stephen Dorff was very good in his role. He looked like Jason Statham very much. His look in the movie was realistic and authentic. Other guys also fit in their role. Although, somebody should have more participated in the movie. For example, Kim Rowland, she was appeared in very short time and was died on the middle of the movie. In fact, she was one of the important character in the XIII's comic books, but when she was appeared only the middle of the movie and then, she was shot and died. It misfitted!

For about the plot, it was very interested to watch and very reasonable. An amnesia guy who was found that he is one of the conspiracy people who try to make a very huge coup d'etat in the history of the U.S. using the assassination of the first-ever U.S. female president as the first step of the plan. However, everything was twisted. Actually, he was the CIA special-opts who decided to work with General Callington from the NSA in the order to stop the huge scheme by masquerade as the president's murderer with XIII code.

As I explained, I highly loved this plot and also how the movie was going on. I also liked how the movie was far away from women's hurting by men. Unlike Shooter and Bourne Ultimatum, XIII avoided about how the women was hurt by men which is how I liked it. By the way, this movie had some complaint. Even the action scene was OK and the plot was very good but some complaint was occurred. For example, how The Mongoose had the connection with XIII (or Steve Rowland or Ross Tanner whatever) it should have more explanation. Also the last hour of the movie in Part 2 which was too confused.

For the summary, I didn't think that this movie was really bad. Many one could have any comment as they want. But for me, XIII was very good, even I didn't like some scene and it maybe not as great as the Hollywood film but you have to notice that this was only the TV-mini series not the theater-releasing film. Also the ending scene of the movie which could make someone disappointed how it was end, but if you find more about the information of XIII, you will understand how the movie goes. As a result, XIII was very good TV mini-series.

Death Wish 3 (1985)
8/10
Straightedge and Extreme of Violence
30 March 2009
I had never seen the original Death Wish in the book either Death Wish I (film). However, Death Wish 3 was the very interested film. The well-known vigilante, Paul Kersey tried to visit his friend, Charlie but he only visited him for a couple of minutes before he died, because of Charlie didn't pay the protection to the huge and infamous underground gang leaded by Manny Franker. After some altercation during his time in jail, Kersey learned that Franker, who he fought with in jail had his own agenda to make the New York City in the hellfire (and also his influence) by sending his henchmen to set the crime every time, everywhere and everyday. Due to the chance given by Insp. Richard Shriker who know his profile well and like him very much. Kersey decided to set the war with Franker and his gang.

I accepted that Death Wish III was one of the most straightedge and extreme violence action film which I had seen from the past. This movie used the very straightedge way to tell the story. No ponderous story-telling and less unnecessary scenes which was the one merit of the movie. On the next issue, Violence was used pervasively in the film. I believed that many of viewers could like the action scene of Death Wish III because it showed the crude, extreme and blast of action for every minutes of the movie, especially the climax scene of the movie and the death of Manny Franker which I thought that it was the maximum action scene.

For about the cast, I think everyone was good and get through their role. Charles Bronson made everybody believe that he still be great as Paul Kersey. He didn't look like the "big old cat", but the great vigilante. Gavan O'Herlihy also did his job very good. His main villain role in the movie made him look nasty and look like the big bad guy. However, the role of Kathryn Davis in this movie was pathetic. She didn't look like the main character. I thought that she was appeared only two or three scene before she was killed by Franker and his follower to make a heat on Paul Kersey. She could have more role to appear.

For my comment, the straightedge style and extreme violence made this movie great for extreme action film fans. Fast-paced with back and Forth style made this movie very interested to watch. Nevertheless, this movie had some silly scene and some plot hole. First, the scene when Insp.Shriker faced Paul Kersey for the first time. It was very corny because you attacked your favor guy before you want him to help, it similar to how you punch some guy before you try to borrow him some money. Haha! that's like a joke! Although, I liked the plot twist when Insp.Shriker was shown later that he helped Kersey because at first, Shriker looked like the villain very much due to his act to Kersey, but when the movie went to the climax, everything was cleared that he had no hidden agenda with Kersey.

In another case, the ending scene of the movie set back me. It stumble on everyone's feeling because it ended too easy. Franker's gang members looked unbelievable after they found that Franker was dead, before his girlfriend and other followers decided to escape. Finally, Insp.Shriker allowed Paul Kersey to fly out from his town before the police caught him. I thought that this style of ending scene could be found in many Cannon Film's movie, but I dislike it.

For the summary, I am OK with Death Wish 3 due to my explanation I typed first. The cast, and the action was very good and so extreme, even it had some scene I don't like. Straightedge and Extreme of Violence could be the best short description of this movie.

Very good hilarious movie with great idea

Beverly Hills Ninja is a great comedy movie. Even if the plot could be retarded for some viewers, but for me it is very good because Beverly Hills Ninja was mainly on comedy.

Chris Farley made a great on his role. Haru who should have been the greatest white ninja like the passage in the ninja scripture, but he wasn't. He grew as the dumb and dopey ninja which made his master and his (highly respected) brother in trouble. Farley acted himself like a false guy from god which I am very pleased on him. I was very surprised that he hated his movie when he saw at first time, maybe he didn't like how he act in the movie. But for me, his acting was very perfect and he should be respected as the great comedian.

The plot maybe looked easy for someone but I don't think so. Beverly Hills Ninja has a very good and reasonable plot. The production also great too, the movie's crew showed everyone that its comedy movie could had the great graphic, special effects and cinematography.

For the summary, Beverly Hills Ninja should be one of the greatest comedy movie. Everything was great and everyone should buy or rent this movie if you want to find some kind of fun!

I will sentence this movie, GREAT
15 March 2009
Death Sentence is the crime, action-thriller movie which use the name from the sequel of "Death Wish", the famous vigilante novel and film. (starred by the late Charles Bronson) However, Death Sentence mostly based on Death Wish, instead of the actually Death Sentence novel which was used the name for the movie.

I am very proud of Kevin Bacon in this movie. He usually receive the main villain role in many movies. (For well-known example, Sleepers, Hollow Man, Wild Things) However, he received the protagonist in this movie. Why I am very proud of him? Because he could highly get on the role. The perfect businessman with the perfect family, but one night at the gas station changed his life forever. After one of his sons was killed by a gang due to the newest member of them was forced to kill as initiation ritual. When he decided to kill his son's murderer because he thought that the justice could not bring them for penalty. The gangster decided to break down him, followed and later beat his family. As a result, the poignant guy who loss the perfect family was loose the control and he had to judge all of the bastards by his own.

The cast were very good. Bacon get through his role with his best acting. He could show everyone that he is not only great as the villain role, but the protagonist. Garrett Hedlund also get through his role too as the main villain. He could play his character, Billy Darley as well as Bacon in the villain role. The ruthless and no mercy gangster's leader who decided to send the "death sentence" for the man's family who killed his henchmen that he loved like his brother. I think he looked cold-blood and very nasty.

For the plot, it could be discussed that Death Sentence is possibly the remake of Death Wish, even the name was chosen from the sequel of Death Wish's novel. I accepted that at the moment I typing this comment, I had never seen Death Wish I before. (I could had seen only a little part of Death Wish III) Even if Death Sentence had the similar plot to Death Wish but it wasn't the same at all. Everything which was shown in the movie was reasonable and ongoing. I loved that very much! Nevertheless, there is some issue which I had a little disappointment with it. The climax scene of the movie. I think that some people could be unhappy with it because the fast-paced and uncleared ending in the movie was hard acceptable. I didn't know what James Yan thinking with this scene. But I thought that the pervasive violence and language was excessive, so the end was very easy.

For my conclusion, I like Death Sentenec because the great cast, great plot, acceptably fast-paced continuous and some great action scene like the cat and mouse situation which ended at the multi-stories parking lot and the shooting in Billy's "Office". Everything looked comfortable and could be one of the great action-thriller movie. Even if Death Sentence had some doubtful issue to discuss but for the overall, I like this movie very very much!

Sniper 3 (2004 Video)
7/10
Good movie but the size of project cause the movie corny in some scene.
15 March 2009
I was surprised when I knew at first glance that this is the DVD movie. This movie's quality made me stupendous. The cast and plot was great. Tom Berenger still fit in his role as Thomas Beckett, even he was very old at the time. Byron Mann also showed his good performance too. (Unfortunately, Mann didn't have a chance to portray a big film.) I suggested that the financial and the image of project made this movie only direct-to-DVD. However, it didn't make me disappointed.

A lot of scenes was great, reasonable and realistic. Nevertheless, the size of project cost the movie's fun. For example, the scene that Beckett escaped from Finnegan's underground base which looked very corny, also Finnegan and Beckett in the jail which made me unsatisfied.

For the summary, Sniper 3 is a very good movie in my opinion. Somebody could think that it was mediocre and nothing spectacular. But for me, it's fun to watch. If you don't care about how extreme is in the action movie, Sniper 3 should be one of your choices.

Shattered (2007)
7/10
Good and Thrill
15 March 2009
Warning: Spoilers
Butterfly on a Wheel (also Shattered in the U.S.) is another good thriller-suspected movie. Maybe someone don't like it, but I don't think so in some issue. I think the movie is another good thriller-suspected movie and interested to watch.

The cast were very good. Pierce Brosnan, Maria Bello and Gerald Butler could get on their role. Brosnan played the "villain" role which made him look very nasty. I remembered his actually villain role in his previous "Don't talk to stranger" (TV movie) which he was completely bad guy. However, the last 15 minutes of the movie made me amazed for what happened, "There was plot twist!". Before the last 15 minutes, I think Brosnan could made himself stone-cold and devilish. His role as a man from nowhere with the gun who put the perfect couple with the little beautiful daughter in the extremely danger situation was very incredible. His harm and crude thing to do with Randall's family could made everyone hated him and wish him for the death. I think Brosnan was very fit in the character.

Maria Bello also get her character well. She made herself looked pity when she was gotten on the extreme condition by the stone-cold Tom, and her presentment showed her idea not to against the harmful man. Nevertheless, when everything was cleared in the end, I think that Maria Bello's role was very parlous. She could put her daughter and the family's relationship as a game to give her husband the biggest lesson in his life. Someone could be submitted with her when the truth was exposed; However, maybe someone could not like it because her expression in the middle of the movie could made them questionable about her idea. She tried to tell her husband all time, not to counter on the harmful man like Tom. At last, even everyone had any way of the comment but I think her role is OK and could accepted.

Gerald Butler could showed his feeling as the human-being. He was cornered in the condition which he didn't know why the god greatly hazed him. But when the truth exposed, he was turned from a pity guy to be the dishonest family guy. I think the plot was reasonable about how to get the dishonest family guy give a lesson which was fit on the plan. I think Butler got the role very well and he could be the example of every guy who step out on his (or her) family.

I was very amazed right now that why my comment on the cast was very long. Because the role of Tom Ryan, Abby and Nail Ryan were connected with the plot. So in my opinion, I think the cast and the plot were very good. The plot twist was very fit on the movie. It also give a lesson for everyone to loyal with their family which is the main idea of the movie. Finally, Butterfly on a wheel is the good thriller-suspected movie and very interested to watch. Even if someone could hated it, but they couldn't count me.

Ghost Rider (2007)
8/10
Very good as action-hero movie!
14 March 2009
Warning: Spoilers
I accepted that I never knew about "Ghost Rider" comic books before I heard about its movie. The movie made me knew about the comic. I had a chance to look up the information about the comic when I watched the movie which I could received many interested topic for the comment.

In my opinion, this is a very good action-hero movie. Maybe some comic books' fans could disappoint or dislike the movie due to it made them feel corny to their comic. However, for my comment, everything is very good. The cast, plot, action scenes and special effects make this movie great to follow. I believed the many fans who never read the comic books or have the little information about it could like the movie, it made everyone very funny. Nevertheless, I have some issue with make me a little disappointment.

First, from the climax scenes. Killing Blackheart with the "Penance Stance" by the Ghost Rider was very stupid. Everyone could know that when the Ghost Rider tried to kill Blackheart first with the Penance Stance, it was failed because Blackheart had no soul. (he was the pure evil like his father, Memphistos, so the Penance Stance was not able to effect with the evil with no soul.) However, when Blackheart absorbed the 1,000 souls to make him "Legion", he could be killed with the Penance Stance later. Err.... I have to say that this scene made the Blackheart looked foolish! Did his father taught him about the logic? Why you upgraded your power only to be killed by the Ghost Rider? Ha! that's idiot.

Furthermore, I had some doubt at first when I heard that Nicholas Cage would receive the role as Johnny Blaze. (Ghost Rider as well) Many movie viewers could believed some fact about the action-hero movie, the newcomer actor/actress in the hero/heroine role could made the movie huge successful more than the abundantly well-known superstar (For example, Christopher Reeve and Toby Maquire could made the dominant successful with their "Superman" and "Spider-man" respectively). So from the fact, I had the question with Nicholas Cage and the film's crew that did Cage could fit his role as the Ghost Rider? and did it looked freak for using the biggest star as the hero? However, when I watched the entire movie, I agree that Nicholas Cage could fit his role but it still fey. After all, it didn't make this movie no interesting.

For conclusion, the movie is very good. Everything is rational, except the climax scene liked my previous issue. But this is only comment from the viewer guy who didn't read any Ghost Rider series' comic books, so some fans maybe had different comment from me.

Chaos (II) (2005)
9/10
Very very good cop movie.
13 March 2009
In my opinion, Chaos pass my condition for the cop movie. Someone could disagree this movie due to the plot but for my mind, I think it is a great one.

Chaos has the very good plot in my suggestion. Everything looked normal but it was really abnormal. All of the cast could highly on their role especially, Jason Statham and Wesley Snipes. (Everyone could guarantee his capability) Ryan Phillippe also great in his role as the younger cop with the ideology. I am gratefully respected on them.

For the plot of the movie. It looked like the simply crime movie which has talked about the robbing and then the following. But when you follow the movie, something could open and it brings some strange point on the movie. If you watched all of 106 minutes of the movie, you will be surprised and unbelieved for what happened. I liked their plot very much. Nevertheless, it could made some viewers bored if they didn't realize about the strange point or they watch this movie for the first time.

In action scene, it was really good even the climax was too easy but I am OK with it. The Climax of the movie was very twisted. I thought that Jason Statham's fan could unbelieved if they saw this movie. However, I believed that some viewers could dislike its ending because it was too silly. (but I didn't think like that) For the conclusion, I think Chaos is not bad, it's a quite good film. Some viewers may have to see this movie for twice because they could had the adverse emotion when they saw its for the second time.

Almost good but with some complaint!
13 March 2009
I saw Desert Kickboxer on my cable TV channel in the name of "Desert Hawk" which I thought that the channel believe that the name "Desert Hawk" is better than "Desert Kickboxer" However, I doesn't matter with it.

Desert Kickboxer had the 100% look of the independent film. The scene, the cast and the plot was very simply. However, I didn't like some scene of the movie which is too cruel. For example, the scene which Claudia Valenti was slapped and was sex harassed by the abominable gangster which try to caught her for their boss. I hate that stuff very much! This made me remember to Steven Seagal's Marked for Death which his sister (in the film) was slapped and was almost killed by the main villain's brother. I accepted that I hate the violence from men to women even I am a man. This is the main reason which I dislike many movie from that reason.

For the next subject, this movie has the good action scene but it could had more. John Newton was very good for his combat skill but the movie had a few area for him to show. I think if the production's crew put more the combat scene. It could be interested more. For the plot, I didn't have the problem with the plot but it could made the viewer confused, due to the Joe Highhawk's past but I didn't see that too much.

I believed that the financial and the size of film's crew made this movie had the less quality than the general film from the big brother company. However, it is OK at one level.

Not too bad, but had some corny especially the cinematography!
13 March 2009
I accepted that at first, I thought this movie should be bad, due to the cruel pictures of trailer and what's happened on Walking Tall: The Payback. However, after I watched Walking Tall: Lone Justice. I thought it didn't too bad because this movie is not too cruel and it had an OK plot.

Lone Justice (I will use this name to refer to this movie) had the spin-up plot after they based The Payback on Buford Pusser's Walking Tall. However, it had both of good and bad in this movie which I will describe next...

I can't disagree that I hate this movie's cinematography. It made this movie very silly. I was not sure what the director thought about movie production but the pictures was shaken liked the horror movie for all time! (for example, the first and the last scene of the movie which showed the skyscrapers or the death scene of Octavio, the pictures was shaken!) This made the movie very interested? You thought wrong. The production crew should made the better cinematography because your cinematography's direction made this movie very corny!!!

Even the cinematography was bad but I thought the movie was fun. Someone may think that it was very bad and unacceptable. But in my opinion, Lone Justice had the good plot at the one level. Many viewers could set this movie in the type of typical action movie with mediocre action scene. So do I, but not at all. The plot was acceptable and the action scene was not too bad. Nevertheless, it has some plot hole. For example, the scene which Agent Marcia Tunney was tortured and suffered the great pain. I thought it was a joke when Nick Prescott told her to help for herself. He didn't do anything for her! He only helped her by kill some henchmen and then "Hey! Go for the telephone and call for help!" and then exit without any help. Hey! Prescott! this woman suffered the great injury! Your torture was not better than her! She was cut out off her finger but why you didn't help anymore?

Oh! It was also very interested in Prescott's tortured scene. I saw the comment of the IMDb fan that it was similar to the scene in Rambo II. Yes! it looked like that. Braddock: Missing in Action III had the same scene which the protagonist was tortured by electrified. But this movie made the electrified scene liked a joke. I believed that if Sylvester Stallone and Chuck Norris watched this scene, he would be laughed and thought "Hey! You didn't get extreme like me Sorbo!"

I also stunned about the climax scene, it was very easy and corny especially, the death of Octavio and Maxwell. The ending scene was radically changed from The Payback which ended like the cowboy style. Maybe some viewer (or anyone who try to watch Lone Justic) could get stunned like me. However, the ending scene made me a little disappointment.

For the cast, everyone got through the role. Kevin Sorbo still acted as the heroic character and very kind especially, women. (Except the scene with Agent Tunney at last) Yvette Nipar had got her role as the Agent Kate Jensen same as The Payback. Err.... I was surprised about the role of Haley Ramm's Samantha Jensen. Samantha had only her mother; meanwhile, Nick Prescott was only the boyfriend of her mum. That was ridiculous, many one should think that Prescott would be married with Jensen and had the family. No it wasn't, she had her 12-year-old daughter! (Could be guess, she was born from Jensen and her ex-husband because the info about Samantha's father was unknown)

For the conclusion, My mind was changed after I had really watched the movie. Lone Justice didn't bad as I thought before. The man assaulted woman was not seen in the movie. The plot was acceptable at one point. Even the action scene was mediocre and the cinematography was very bad, this movie could made fun at the one level.

Shoot 'Em Up (2007)
9/10
Almost flawless, except plot holes...
1 March 2009
I believe that many watcher will think this is very fast! 86 minutes of the non-stop action, dark comedy, pervasive unrealistic scenes and intense of the sex scene movie. Shoot 'Em Up should be one of the greatest dark action movie.

I am very proud of Michael Davis and his crew. Someone could be think that Davis is the 13-year-old freak child. His movie is no realistic at all! I really have many words for this movie but I will tell all of you in the order of case.

Action of this movie was flawless. Everything is unrealistic and extraordinary. Many extravaganza shooting should be seen in this movie for pumping everyone's adrenaline. It was very surprised about how frequently shooting was in the movie, may be the movie's name "Shoot 'Em Up", so the result was unstoppable shooting. I love this kind of action. Like Jason Statham's Crank and The Transporter 2, this movie and my previous example are all the real extreme action, not some movie which try to sell extreme action but its results is really crap. Finally, Unbelievable, Amazing and Overload. is my description for the action scene of this movie.

This movie also one of the greatest dark comedy movie. Shoot 'Em Up showed many dark comedy skit which could shook everyone. I couldn't believe that Shoot 'Em Up try to sell as Action - Dark Comedy movie because this movie has a very dark tone and advertise like an action film. However, many dark and unbelievable skit made me believe that. Like many film's criticizing website. This movie is a complete "vile, crude, nasty, saucy and devilish" movie. I never seen any kind of the movie like this before.

For the cast. Clive Owen took on his role very well. He could change himself from "the jealous, unfaithful and human-being" businessman in "Derailed" to become the "chilly, cold-blood and unexpected" gunslinger. He could show his ability as fighter and gunslinger in many extraordinary way. Paul Giamatti also has a very good acting. He made himself "A nasty arrogant villain". he could be almost my heinous villain except he didn't rude to women or child by slapping or punching. (I like this, I hate the villain who rude to women and child by slapping or punching, I called them "heinous villain". I hate many movie to do that kind of villain.) Even he had some rude act to Donna Quintano but this is very ridiculous and never seen in any movies before. I accepted the cast was great! However, I have some complaint about it. The plot hole in this movie. I didn't like the plot of "covering character biography". Mr.Smith's profile is a kind of that. It's too much. I believe many fans should watch the movie more than twice to understand the plot. What the hell of Hammerson? What the hell of Rutledge? How the hell they have some connection. The movie's crew may be think everyone understand your plot? Silly! You made the extremely complicated plot for everyone! I have no complaint about the action, comedy skit and the cast but the script should have less complicated. Every watcher should see this movie without confusing.

And also Mr.Smith's profile. I hoped that I could understand the crew's purpose. I think they try to make every watcher imagine and design their hero. They try to design the big brother protagonist without flaw or sensitive to mind games. Without history or reason, I suggest that they use the video games's hero for designing the character. "No explanation, but extreme only!" I think this is very long time to comment. Like the previous, I have many words for this movie because I'm very proud of it. The unstoppable action, intense of dark comedy (especially, cracking all of the old action scene is very funny, we should see the new one!), the new way of story telling and also the cast acting. I like this movie very much. This is one of my favorite movie, except the plot hole. Please! Michael Davis! If you want to write and direct the new movie, please do the clear and no questionable plot. I hope not to see the character's history covering or unexplained plot. Almost flawless except plot holes!!!

Die Hard 4 : Blast of Action, Reasonable plot But No Great Ending! Silly!
23 February 2009
Die Hard 4.0 or Live Free or Die Hard (I think many one should called it Die Hard 4 rather than the 20 Century Fox name, may be their executives think the movie should have the great name but people still call it Die Hard 4) is the new sequel since Die Hard with a Vengeance which was ended very silly in 1995.

After I watched this movie, I think this sequel was not really "Die Hard" way, even many one liked it but not me. I was OK with the first 90 minutes of the movie but after that, it made me disappointed with it. Die Hard 4 had a very good plot for using the computer hacking subject in this sequel and they showed how the villain could get over the computer system in the U.S.A.

Despite the very good plot and extreme action, I didn't like the way of Thomas Gabriel in this movie. Gabriel is really the one of my heinous villain in many movies I watched. His devilish thrilled every one to see how he is end but it was very silly for his death. I didn't know who made the direction for Thomas Gabriel's death in the movie. That's not Die Hard. If you had seen "Firewall" starred by Harrison Ford or "The Marine" starred by John Cena, WWE Superstars. Die Hard 4 is the same as my example. "Yippee Ki Yay Mo" and then kill Gabriel! OK! it was very amazing shot but it is too easy and corny. I was very surprised how Maggie Q showed her skill in the movie but the henchman must has the worst death rather than their boss? Is the Die Hard 4 crew think about this fact? Oh my god! Why they didn't kill Gabriel by stabbed the quill through his eye? If you saw Die Hard 1 and 2. That's the way Die Hard 4 should be. The blast of action, the reasonable plot and the great ending. Why Die Hard 4 forgot the last one? John McClane did himself like "The big old cat" in the last 10 minutes of the movie. For God Sake! McClane is the hero! He is the great! for 105 minutes but in last 10 minutes. Oh my god! he looked very weak! We didn't see any silly like this. Die Hard 1 - 3 didn't show how John McClane weakened but Die Hard 4 do it. Thomas Gabriel could be happy that he is the only man who can make John McClane "The big old cat". Did our IMDb viewer understand my explanation? The weak McClane and the silly death of Thomas Gabriel is the reason why I told you this is not really "Die Hard".

I accepted that the blast of action and the reasonable plot still in this Die Hard 4 but the great ending is miss. Maybe Len Wiseman or the production crew, especially the scriptwriter or screenplay writer forgot this fact. They use intense of action, drama and thrilling at first but use the silly, corny and unreasonable at last. I have to tell everyone I voted 5 out of 10 because they have the blast of action and the great plot. If you have the great ending, it will not at 5 points!
