Uncle Nino (2003)
The best all-family film of the year!
27 January 2004
My wife and I--both in our early 40's--and all four of our teenage kids (13-19) LOVED this film. So did the rest of the audience...they all laughed...and some cried...in all the "right" places. This one needs to be re-launched so we can tell our friends and family around America to run to the theater and see it too!

Excellent all the way around!

I love the way this made-for-TV mini-series very accurately reveals details about the culture and lifestyles of both the Jews and Christians, as well as the Romans. It's a compelling, epic story. Actually, I've also seen and like the slightly edited Gospel Communications -distributed versions even more. One is 9-hours and the other is 6-hours with a study guide that really helps to bring out the incredible accuracy of producer Vincenzo Labella's work. The cast is full of stars and the acting is appropriately...excellent!

Right on, especially for youth!

Excellent! My 12-year old son and 14-year old daughter laughed pretty much all the way through Sparky. As an adult I've used this video with great result in my jr. high youth group (ages 10-13), plus I've watched the DVD and all its bonus features myself. Love it. I love the director's track and the actual storyboards that Rutlege used while producing Sparky. ...We all love to laugh (this one gets high marks in that area!), and we want kids to see the Bible as the key guide for their lives (another big success for Sparky). Fun for the mind, great for the soul!!
