Last Ounce of Courage (2012)
Everyone in the USA needs to see this before voting Nov 6.
LAST OUNCE OF COURAGE empowers the people of the United States to stand for truth, God, and country without stepping on anyone's toes, except those trying to close the door of liberty and freedoms established by our Founding Fathers. I've recommended this to everyone in the past 36 hours after seeing it opening weekend. Unfortunately it is slated to be here only 1 week.
Today six adults went to see it just from my announcement at lunch. Most people I know will love this movie and I will do my best to tell them before it leaves the theater. Recommended it on Facebook not only on my own wall, but connected directly to specific friends who will love it, too.
Wish Hollywood distributors understood folks in middle America. They'd make more movies like this and more importantly, know how to promote them.
My prediction: A sleeper that will/or should be a blockbuster by Christmas, especially if I can do anything about it.
Secretariat (2010)
Wonderful movie
Secretariat is not only the first film in many years where both old and young can share the same theater; it contains the elements that make you both laugh and cry as most good movies should. From peaceful mornings at sunrise we experience exhilarating horse racing that brings pensive waiting for results of a race already in the history books.
I agree with the Movieguide comments: "SECRETARIAT is a very uplifting, inspiring, exciting movie about a true story, the story of a determined woman who raises one of the most successful, dynamic racehorses of all time. SECRETARIAT is stirring and joyful, with many references to God, Jesus Christ and the Bible and a pro-capitalist message celebrating American values
" Now, what's wrong with this picture? It is refreshingly entertaining.
