Haebaragi (2006)
Has it all!
The movie has great writing and acting. It is one of my favorite movies. However, I rarely watch it because it gives me intense feels like Gran Torino, another favorite movie of mine. Like Gran Torino, one of the main themes is redemption and forgiveness. I know it may seem a bit strange, but I feel more human/kind soon after watching it.
Another reason I love this movie is because it has it all: action, drama, character arc, character development, etc.
If you are hesitant to watch because of the subtitles don't let that stop you. The movie is so good you will hardly notice because you will be so into the movie.
I love it :)
Seumuldaseot Seumulhana (2022)
When it is good, it is really good.
Overall this a great series. There are some episodes that may the best for this type of genre. Sometimes while watching I thought to myself "I think I found my favorite show." However, the last two episodes were a bit disappointing. A person wrote that it was as bad an ending as for Game of Thrones. That is not the case, but I could see why people are upset.
It reminds me of when I was assigned a ten page essay for school and the first eight pages are really well written, but the last two were not because I was running out of time or got distracted with another class.
In the last two episodes one of the main cast really acts out of character. Seems incongruent with who the person is. This person knows better. It seemed really off.
Kim Tae-Ri is the star of the show. She makes Na Hee-do come to life. I wish had a friend like Na Hee-do :)
If you have not watched give it a chance. I was glad I did.
Free Guy (2021)
It was really fun.
I was on the fence of whether to watch this and then I saw that Shawn Levy, the director of Free Guy, also directed Real Steel, which I really enjoyed.
The writing was good. It was funny and I laughed out loud many times. At times it was serious and I became emotional which surprised me. I give it 8 stars because the ending could have been better, but I can understand how wrapping up all the story lines would be difficult.
