Excellent farewell film to a beloved character
2 July 2023
Don't let the naysayers turn you away from seeing this at the theater. It really is an excellent farewell film to a beloved character. Helena, Indy's Goddaughter, does not take precedent in this film. Indiana does not take a backseat to her. The people that are leaving these types of reviews have probably not seen the film. I'd say it's a good balance, and she is a pivotal character to the plot, but this is all about Indiana Jones. As a huge fan of the original, and a fan of Harrison Ford, I truly loved this movie and enjoyed it thoroughly. I had a smile on my face nearly the entire time. There are a few places where the CGI is disappointing, but overall, this is a well made addition and final film to the franchise. There are also a number of nods to the first three films that are placed and executed excellently by James Mangold. And the final scene in the movie is worth a ticket price all by itself. Go see it and enjoy an Indiana Jones adventure, one more time!

Trash. A pile of it.
18 May 2023
What a pile of ever loving trash. How in the world did this receive 84% from critics on Rotten Tomatoes!!! I remember watching this as a kid in the 80s and the alligator in the sewer premise was attractive to me then but I didn't remember much else about it so thought I'd give it another viewing. It's also listed as one of the top films about killer alligators. Unbelievable. Unless you like poor creature effects and ridiculous dialogue, inane alligator attack scenes, and plot and mostly just plan bad acting then I suggest not wasting your time with this one. Cheesy as can be. Watch " Rogue" instead.

Not very good at all
20 August 2022
Brad Pitt usually delivers but this was a complete mess and poorly delivered and timed humor. Acting all around just wasn't that great and everything felt forced.

Too Superhuman but okay
5 August 2022
Started out well enough but even Arnold wasn't this superhuman. It just got cheesy with the hand to hand combat being just unlikely or believable. Not a bad effort and for sure better than the most recent film but it still falls short, way short. And, not really memorable at all.

Colossal letdown
25 June 2022
What a colossal letdown. I'd rather have an Obi Wan film trilogy in the same vein as Rogue One or Solo than this cheesy poorly written fluff of a tv show.

Fantastic!
8 April 2022
All I can say is this episode satisfies fully after an entire season leading up to this moment. Wonderful storytelling! Just when you think writers and filmmakers have thought of everything along comes a series like this. Highly recommend. Looking forward to season two.

First episodes should hook the viewer
27 September 2021
This is just bad! First episodes should hook the viewer and these first two do not fit the bill. Quite boring throughout. Uninteresting characters and too much drama (A romantic involvement that just appears out of nowhere) between them that was not in the books. Character are all mismatched and turned around anyway. Producers should have started with "Prelude to Foundation" as a jump off point or perhaps not stay within a linear timeline to give us some backstories on the main characters. And why oh why would you take the biggest reveal of the novels and give it away in the second episode? At this point in the series I could not recommend it.

Not a great start to the series
27 September 2021
I was extremely excited about this series. I recently read Asimov's seven novels and loved them. I wasn't expecting an exact adaptation but so far this is too far of course and lacks the intrigue of the novels.

Not great
22 September 2021
If not for Steve Martin and Martin Short this would nearly be unwatchable. All of the other main characters are simply drab and uninteresting. Very little intrigue to keep the story moving.

Was Looking Good Until...
13 September 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This movie was a good watch and was intriguing until Gabrielle went all John Wick in the police department. Why oh why do today's filmmakers do stuff like this? Please let's keep things within a certain realm of believability. When did this personality have time to train to fight? Great concept and overall creep factor at the onset but concluded horribly. My rating was at a 7 and dropped to a 4 quickly after that scene.

Overrated
4 September 2021
Not that great. Didn't remain consistent with Batman Begins and was extremely predictable. The plot and action labors along and never reaches a satisfying conclusion. The best thing about this film is the score.

Done before and better
23 August 2021
Rotten Tomatoes Critics are out of their minds. There is nothing new here at all. It's all been done before and better. Not much in the way of edge of your seat here. It's mostly predictable and unimaginative all the way through.

Dad direction for this show

Season one showed some promise but season 2 has just shown us poor writing and worse acting. This is like some bad low budget stuff.

Horrible first episode.
10 April 2021
I recall the first season as being fairly decent. But if this episode is any indication of what's to come in season two, then it's not looking great. Much much much too silly and campy from both segments. Also very predictable.

Horrible BEAST
28 February 2021
Debra is a horrible horrible beast in this episode. Her behavior goes far beyond any of the other hateful things, that can be humorous, this family does. Her violent behavior toward Ray just isn't funny.

Best episode of the series by far. Writers hit the nail on the head with this one. Engrossed and rapt the entire time. This is The Twilight Zone.

An excellent remake. Don't know why the hatred for it. I thought Vaughn did an excellent job in the role. As did Heche. Nearly a shot for shot homage to the original.

Better Than The Original!

Better acting, visual effects and makeup, as well as superb pacing make this remake far better than the original film.

A brutal watch and not in a good way
17 October 2020
This was brutal to get through and not in a good way. I can't imagine anyone ever looking at this script and thinking this was worthy of making. Just bad all around. Disappointing to say the least.

How it should be done
4 October 2020
Apart from a couple of cheesy moments that pull you out of the film, this one is an example of how horror should be done. Quite gory.

Don't make them like this anymore
28 September 2020
Don't make them like this anymore! Great all around. Excellent cast and well acted. Slow burning, creepy and no silly CGI. If you can't make it look real why show it? Sometimes it's best to leave things up to the imagination and this movie does just that many times and when it does use effects they are practical and believable. No silly one-liners. And a shocking finale that although may be predictable (I don't know I've saw this movie many times over the years) it'll stay with you after the credits roll. Seriously cannot go wrong with a cast like Betty Davis, Karen black, and Oliver Reed to carry this film and make it believable. Extremely well directed and paced.

Why give it away at the beginning
26 September 2020
Great premise, but not well done at all and very cliche plot lines. First mistake was revealing to us what was in the shed from the get go. Much of horror and suspense comes from what we don't know or can't see. Unfortunately, this movie gives it all up in the first 5 minutes and therefore makes the remainder of it highly predictable.
