Pure propaganda
8 September 2019
Unbelievable that Cold War continues. It does have a few moments but overall it felt like a WW2 propaganda film. A lot of good actors but poorly written from the French original. Since it supposed to be comedy I never look for accuracy since there was not except that Stalin did die. Consider the timing of the release of the movie and that it was shot in Kiev it made it 100% a propaganda movie.

Benedict Cumberbatch great actor but the movie is propanganda attack on Wikileaks
22 December 2017
WOW! Berg guy is totally self righteous a hole. You don't even have to know anything about the subject matter and you know this movie is totally BOGUS! A complete smear campaign on the founder of Wikileaks. "People love the true WikiLeaks story: a small group of dedicated journalists and tech activists who take on corruption and state criminality against the odds," Assange writes in his statement. "But this film isn't about that. ... Instead of the exciting true story, we get a film about a bland German IT worker who wasn't even there and a fabricated fight over redactions with the old newspapers and the State Department saving the day. The result is a geriatric snoozefest that only the US government could love." "As justification it will claim to be fiction, but it is not fiction. It is distorted truth about living people doing battle with titanic opponents. It is a work of political opportunism, influence, revenge and, above all, cowardice."

Knowledge Kukliński had was exaggerated
9 July 2015
Possible that Kukliński was a double agent, of the Soviet GRU, used in an operational game with the CIA. A Polish Minister of Internal Affairs during communist times, Czesław Kiszczak revealed such a theory in a later interview, while a former Soviet military attaché, Yuriy Rylyov, claimed so directly in an interview. Historians, like Paweł Wieczorkiewicz and Franciszek Puchała (a general in the Polish Army during communist times) suggest, that the knowledge Kukliński had was exaggerated, and while he had a lot of information about the Polish Army and the organization of the Warsaw Pact in general, he could not have had detailed information on Soviet plans, since no one in Poland had it. Puchała supported his opinion in official hearings of Kukliński by Polish prosecutors during his revised trial. Revealing plans about the enforcement of martial law in Poland, which would make a Soviet invasion unnecessary, could have been profitable for the Soviet side, ensuring that the USA would not be surprised by martial law and would not undertake unpredictable actions against the Soviets. It is noteworthy, that despite Kukliński's revelations, the USA did not warn Solidarity about martial law. The Soviets took the escape of such an important spy nonchalantly and did not demand any consequences from the Polish politician responsible for intelligence, namely Czesław Kiszczak. Also, the matter of Kukliński's sons' deaths is unclear and they may have been part of a protection program; besides, according to Wieczorkiewicz, such revenge on a defector's family would be quite unusual for Soviet intelligence.

Pseudo-documentary!
13 February 2015
Typical bias approach to a subject matter. You start off with predetermined position without all the facts then present half truths and/or leave out completely facts to justify your position. This is very slanted towards anti-marijuana, if you pay attention. I don't take sides but I feel like this documentary is very one sided and was not well presented.Typical mainstream media. It's shameful that they cannot take an objective look at an industry and its history. Instead of self-promotion in getting ratings, she should concentrate on legitimate investigative reporting. Better off searching on Google what you want to know instead of wasting your time watching this.

Space Dogs (2010)
Fantastic Children Movie
9 March 2014
Russian animated film from 2010. The dog Belka thrown out on the streets of Moscow when the rocket on her circus stops working in the midst of a performance. She hits the street-smart Strelkas and rat Lyonya and the new trio soon forced to flee from the scary Bulldog. The film is based on the Soviet space dogs and honors the first animals who survived an orbital space trip. Space Dogs give children a insight of how the exploration of space began. The vast array of lovable characters and quality computer-animated. During the end credits, real-life archive footage from the Soviet Space Program and Space Dogs is shown. Highly recommend this movie for all ages especially for children.

pseudo documentary
24 August 2013
Warning: Spoilers
Amazing how this gets called a documentary. Unverifiable assertions and comments when the 2 primary subjects didn't defend themselves or made any commentary. It paints a picture to draw you in and then does a 180 to attack the subjects. Things that it didn't mention and/or completely wrong: Title is completely false, they don't steal secrets. Sweden has not refused an extradition request from the USA for over 20 years. In 2001 Sweden gave two innocent Egyptian refugees to the CIA for rendition to Egypt, where they were tortured. Harder to extradite from UK then because of his public status and then sitting government would lose support from part of it's constituents. Swedish prosecutor could question him from UK (she claimed she couldn't) because they did it with an murder suspect in the EU. List list goes on... I will wait for the other 2 films where all these points will hopefully be address.
