Watching Paint dry....
30 June 2017
Way too short, it felt like the film was rushed. The action sequences felt forged in a sense that CGI was perhaps used? Not a good combination to have Kurt Russell and Mark Walberg in the same film - lets stick to the Fast and Furious franchise, where your better suited. Mr Walberg.. Ted 3 perhaps?

Sully (2016)

Outstanding performance, gripping from start to finish
30 June 2017
Tom Hanks portrays "sully" to the letter, the dialogue from start to finish, with the acting combined resulting in a masterpiece been brought to big screen.

With Biopics as a whole been very difficult to show on the big screen, this film not only tells the story from sully's POV, but we also see a slight PoV from his wife. In certain aspects through, you are drawn into the film that much that you feel that you are watching a documentary rather then a factious/based on a true story film.

The action within the film is limited in a sense that the whole film centres around the aftermath of the events in question, rather then building up to what actually happens, which is a fantastic way of displaying it to an audience. Arron eckleharts performance is also true to heart, The dialogue on both characters truly shows that they can both truly adapt to whom ever they play.

truly a brilliant film.

Rings (2017)

Average Horror with a predictable ending
30 June 2017
From the opening scene through to the ending the viewers are thrown straight into the action, starting with the surface of the dreaded video. The acting isn't so bad in terms of amateur dramatics, but more this should have been a straight to DVD then Cinema release.

The whole concept of trying to escape the consequences of viewing the video really lets the film down, especially setting up a "department" or "group" to overcome.

The film itself was quite shallow, and felt like the writers had created an idea on top of an original with no thought on how to explain everything prior during or after the events. Casting " TBBT " Johnny Galecki into a supporting role for the purpose of the film , my only guess is to hope that the film performs well - biggest mistake. Yes he can act, yes his performance was flawless, just the completely wrong film to cast someone of his background in.

Overall - It should have been a straight to DVD film.

The Prestige (2006)

Intriguing from start to finish
27 March 2016
The film opens up with a monologue by Michael Cain, surprisingly explaining how a magic trick or illusion is performed. Within minutes we are introduced to all the main character, which with nowadays movies, is rare. As the film unfolds the film seems to break and pull back the fourth wall, allowing the audience a "behind the scene's" if you will into the performance, forgetting that it's a film we are watching and not the performance. The acting and dialogue from all characters is second to none. The film leaves you deeply thinking with each scene , however the plot and ending (if you catch on early enough) are revealed during the opening to middle parts.

A very well written, performed and spoken film from Christopher Nolan.

Possibly the worst "Zombie" film ever commissioned.
16 June 2015
From start to finish the plot was closed and sealed. The fact that a character would be bitten within "minutes" of the film was obvious on where this film was going. The acting was similar to that of a high school play, dramatised and seemed like they filmed the dress rehearsals in the final edit. Many flat lined scenes, numerous mistakes including

Locking down an airport after a virus is discovered. The pilot would of been informed of this mid air prior to landing.

Allowing a suitcase containing an anti virus with syringe on a plane after the baggage handler has stated the new "lock down procedures" after 9/11... contradiction??

Moving a passenger from Wheelchair to aircraft seat? The passenger would remain seated in his/her wheelchair through the flight. (health and safety)

The last scene in which the young boy leaves the woman in tunnel... She's still alive, not dead, he walks off, in the back ground is the airport with NO LOCKDOWN ALARMS/MILITARY/POLICE etc guarding this area...?

All in all a very bland, "Sunday afternoon while half asleep after a roast dinner" film. I'll

Simply Stunning

From start to finish Guardian's of the Galaxy bringd the audience into the film. If you've never read the comics- fear not. Not only are we introduced to the main character within seconds of the films, but we are also given a lime light into why hes called Star Lord.

Chris Pratt brings, heartbreak, comedy, seriousness and romance into one giant bundle of science fiction galore. Vin deisal as the Groot and Bradley Cooper as Rocket brings warmth and comedy to the film. The dialogue is second to none and as from a viewing perspective, thinks both men brought something a little personal to the role as well, bringing their own personalities into the dialogue. I would highly recommend this as been one of the greats marvel has produced. Overall rating 10/10

From start to finish a very bland storyline
27 July 2014
The choice of Mark Wahlberg for the main lead was undeniably a decision that leaves you wondering was there a casting strike on at the time. The dialog seemed something from from a cartoon. The visual effects were impressive however, but let down in places. The entire storyline was dragged out, like the plot for the story was too quickly written, there was no depth to the characters, nor was there any meaning behind why a certain character was "ressurected" and no one knew who he was? The film is set 5 years after Megatron has left been destroyed, now the CIA & FBI know who he is and what he's capable of, so why reincarnate him? The film is an overall disappointment making you wonder as, when and how the franchise will end. Definaltley a Sunday afternoon movie as a last resort.
