'Twas the Night Before Christmas (1974)
Great Christmas cartoon
Great Christmas cartoon. It's right up there with Rudolf the Red Nose Reindeer and Frosty the Snowman. As far as tradition to watch around the holidays. Well, can't forget National Lampoons Christmas Vacation. But as far as cartoons, it is good. Very sweet movie. It has the hope and working together lessons of all the classic cartoons. Plus the song Even a Miricle Needs a Hand is so good. Guaranteed to get stuck in your head. This was made back when all the awesome Christmas cartoons were made. Way back in 1974. A year before I was born. Anyway check out this cartoon. You won't be sorry and your little ones will like it too.
Ash vs Evil Dead (2015)
AWESOME
This is a great show. The character Ash's personality is wonderful. His confidence and witt set him apart from most other characters in all tv shows and movies. He is like Andrew Dice Clay and Tony Stark from the Avengers had a baby. The show would probably be classified as horror but the humor, is definitely what makes the show. Of course I remember the original Evil Dead movie because I'm 40 something but when I saw it, I remember thinking how it was not your ordinary horror movie. Even if horror isn't your cup of tea, which I'm really not a huge horror fan. I'm more of a Sci Fi guy, you should check out the first Evil Dead and then watch this show. I guarantee you will at least get some laughs and maybe even a "scary" moment here and there. Let's see, to break it down, you've got a dude who is hilariously overconfident. Also has a double barrel shotgun and a chainsaw for a hand. Great humorous moments and him killing demons. Plus a cool 80s song here and there. To sum it up in one word, AWESOME.
The Transformers: The Movie (1986)
Like a car dealer "brand new models on the way"
Ok, first off I'm an old man. Let's just say 40 something. So I'm sure there are a lot of people going to disagree with me. But I was there way back when the Transformers all started. I still watch cartoons by the way. Or should I say Animated Series. First, there were a lot of new characters that showed up in the movie. So many that I felt the originals didn't get enough "on camera time." That was a let down. Especially when there were so many. Warpath, one of my fav. Smokescreen, Ratchet, ProwI, Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, Jazz, Mirage and a whole lot more. And before people say well so and so was in the movie. I mean it would have been neat to see some real speaking rolls and not just a bit part of one standing here and there. I liked Hound and the only time you see him is when Optimus shows up to save Autobot City and Hound is standing there at the ship pointing for some reason. Oh and I would have loved to have seen Omega Supreme show up and kick Devistator's butt by the way. Anyway, I understand that Hasbro was wanting to extend their toy line. In fact Transformers was one of the first cartoon series to have been created with the sole purpose of selling toys. But to me a lot of the new characters just didn't have the in depth personalities or personal connections, for lack of better words. Heck to me they just weren't as interesting as the originals. I guess maybe I'm just byass to the originals. Still it was a pretty good movie all around. Lots of action and a descent storyline. The only thing that turned me against the movie, somewhat, was of course killing Optimus Prime. Horrible, bad, wrong thing to do. Without Optimus to me you don't have The Transformers. There have since been many more Transformers cartoon series. I thought Transformers Prime was a pretty good series but G1 will always be the best in my heart.
If Walls Could Talk... (1998)
Great Show
I recently discovered this show one day when I was channel surfing . It is truly one of those best kept secrets on TV . I throughly enjoy every aspect of this program .From all of the locations around the US , to seeing these homes sometimes over a hundred years old and all of the neat little things people find there . It is very interesting seeing so many old homes with so much history . Also I find myself at least once every episode saying to myself WOW or now that was cool . If you enjoy anything about American History then this is the show for you or if you just think it's neat to see into other peoples homes and connecting with people who have put so much sweat and tears into preserving people's past ( former homes owners ) and try to maintain it for the next generation . Hey this is coming from a guy who normally loves Sci Fi and Action shows and movies . I have got my whole family and extended family into watching this show and none of us ever miss an episode . So in conclusion if you haven't had the chance to watch this show or maybe you never even heard of it tune into HGTV and watch or record an episode or two , I guarantee you won't be disappointed . And together maybe we can keep this program on the air . Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope it helps .
