P2 (2007)
A psychotic loner drugs a woman he'd been stalking and imprisons her
P2 is set on Christmas Eve when a woman, who'd been working late, finds herself waiting for a cab after her car won't start in the underground car park. Sitting in the lobby of the building, the cab eventually pulls up outside. But because the place is locked up and the night porter is nowhere to be seen, she can't open the exit door to get out and the driver eventually drives off. Venturing back down to the underground in search of somebody to let her out, she angrily addresses the security guard through an intercom but gets no answer. And when all the lights suddenly go off, she's left with just the light from her mobile phone to guide her. But within seconds, she's knocked unconscious and when she awakes, she finds she's been taken prisoner by the loner security guard who's determined to spend Christmas with her and psychotically knows a little too much about her for her liking. There's SOME gore, but not lots - which may disappoint people expecting a slasher style gore-fest. There's plenty of cat and mouse chasing and some near escapes throughout the movie that can have you at the edge of your seat in anticipation. However, some people may find it boring as the whole movie is set in the building & underground car park. Also, the attacker is identified from the start which is a no-go for some horror/thriller lovers. All the same, I personally enjoyed this movie a lot and would recommend it, even though it wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea!
Bushwhacked (1995)
A fun comedy for all the family
A harmless misfit who's on the run after being in the wrong place at the wrong time, is mistaken as an experienced boys scouts leader who was hired to bring a group of youth's on a hiking-trip. Hoping to divert the attention from himself by concealing his identity and reckoning it would be an "easy" escape-route, he decides to play along with it. However, he gets more than he bargained for when he ends up on an adventure-filled scouts trip he's not likely to forget for a long time! The children are cleverer than they look and when they they stumble upon his I.D. and realise he's not who they thought he was, they take no prisoners in showing him who's boss! This is an excellent family movie with quirky humour, a fun storyline and good acting. A must see!! I absolutely loved this as a child and still do as an adult!
