28 Days Haunted (2022– )
8/10
Best comedy show out there
8 November 2022
This is hilarious! The premise is three groups of "paranormal investigators" go to 3 "haunted locations, supposedly with no info or context on the history of the place. Hilarity ensues how each of the teams tries to convince the audience that they have abilities or technology that enable them to contact the spirits of the dead. If they stay for 28 days the barriers between the worlds of the living and the dead disappears. What does that even mean, I don't know, but they don't either and it's hilarious. Just put it on as background noise and was not expecting so much hilarity. "The spirits are surrounding me. Something touched my head. I'm quitting." 🤣

Family Dinner (I) (2022)
10/10
Tension all the way through
8 September 2022
From the get go you know something is up with Simi's family, but what exactly is going on will keep you guessing.

You feel like you can trust in a character, just to have another undermine that trust, and then see something that hints that you might be guessing wrong. Who is telling the truth and who is lying/manipulating will keep you on the edge of your seat all the way through.

The set design, color scheme and score help sustain the tension that the actors and camera work build. Everything is very quiet and unnerving. The whole movie feels cold and unnerving, in a good way.

Looking forward to seeing more horror from this director/producer duo.

Ghost Adventures (2008– )
7/10
Best comedy show on TV
19 May 2022
This is hilarious. Nothing ever happens and they over react to that nothingness and it's funny every single time. Dead pan comedy genius. Gadgets humming,m, a dog staring a corner of a room, CCTV footage of stuff falling from counters, audio recording of neighbors taking out the trash,... everything is a good reason to react with a "whoa" and jump to the conclusion that it's paranormal. Comedy gold.

Great adventure. When does the sequel come out?
28 April 2022
Not just an entertaining adventure movie but a good videogame adaptation with little winks to the game fans, but being it's own beast.

Looking forward to a sequel.

Turns out astronauts aren't that smart
12 April 2022
It starts of interesting and moody, then it's suspenseful but 20 minutes in it turns stupid and stays that way till the end. The characters make one stupid decision after another and that takes you out of the movie. After the third stupid decision/action you lose interest. Good actors, great sets, good SFX, crappy script. It's entertaining, but just barely.

Not all movies need to be franchises
27 December 2020
Loved the first one, didn't like this one after leaving the theater. Two days later and yeah, it's not just disappointing, it was bad. I won't spoil it but the main villain is a great actor, the first scene is awesome, but everything else is either dumb or bad.

Fun dumb entertainment
2 August 2020
Usually don't write these, but saw so many bad reviews that had to step in. It's the second sequel to a movie where smart sharks eat dumb people, what are you expecting? It's awesome! The first one is great, the second one is unwatchable, this one is pretty cool. Has dumb moments, of course, but overall very entertaining.

Scoob! (2020)

Not a Scooby Doo film
18 June 2020
A script that mentions way too much adult themes and words for kids in a story too cookie and light for adults. It's a tonal mess. The characters look like they are for kids but they talk like they are talking to adults. The story is all about superheroes and doomsday stuff, there are no ghosts or monsters. It's not a Scooby Doo movie, it's a crossover movie between Scooby Doo, Blue Falcon a Wacky Races. For nostalgic people in their 30s or above, presented as a kids film.

Hilarious!
17 August 2019
I was had a bad nigh, hardly any sleep, rough morning, drove the family to an early showing and LAUGHED HARD! The movie is hilarious. I was surprised that the firat one wasn't just a cash grav and actually had a story. This one has story, but the comedy shines. Hadn't laughed this much and hard in a long time.

What a brilliant, well written and heartfelt performanced film. I laughed, almost cried, and was riveted the whole way.

Brilliant script
12 August 2018
A clever script, brutal horror, disturbing imagery, riveting from the first scream, Pascal Laugier is a master os his craft. This should be on every horror film fest lineup this year.

Even the narrator can't be bothered
29 June 2018
This is just one episode of those tv shows that go into houses "hunting" ghosts pretending to be a movie. It's so moronic that I started laughing at it. It's the Birdemic of documentaries. It's long boring stupidity pontified by momments that are so bad you'll laugh out loud.

The new Prometheus
3 April 2018
Warning: Spoilers
It's not too clever for audiences, it's too stupid. "Every soldiers that has gone in has disapeared, so we're sending 4 cientists with m16 rifles, no masks and no hazmat suits." Yep, what could possibly go wrong?

Zombies hit Portugal with a BANG!
9 March 2011
Warning: Spoilers
A great zombie short, with great effects (makeup and splatter) and sense of humor (the midget was a riot). The set pieces look great and the photography is just brilliant. It's a debut for the film's writer/producer, but if I didn't tell you, you wouldn't know. Everything looks and feels amazing. The only downside is the characters don't really have time to develop, and some actors don't really go all the way with what they are given. We want more! At least 90 minutes more! Time to find out how the zombies affect a small country village in rural Portugal. And why the hell they feed potatoes to a zombie...

Great zombie fun for all horror fans!
