The Leftovers (2014)
Brutal Season 2 ruined the series
The Leftovers was a decent show until Season 2. Terrible writing, unimaginative and stale. The whole Season drags at a slow pace with only enough content for 1 episode but stretched into 10. The season lacked mystery suspense or a plot. The writer is infatuated with with a delusional ignorance of cultism, "we get it you wanted to join a cult but you are forced to write about it instead" , must be pretty pathetic to get rejected by people who steal children. After copying the book for Season 1, the writers proved they had no original ideas. Legal plagiarism from sell out authors with no adaption abilities will only get you so far. Avoid Season two the complete story line and plot will be easy summed up in the season recap, 2 minutes, at the start of Season 3.
Keep your finger on the fast forward button for Season 2.
Rock of Love with Bret Michaels (2007)
It's Fake but Enterataining
This was a concept with never ending possibilities. First off, through timing and possibly hard work, Bret Michaels has got everything he has ever wanted. This makes him unable to to ever live monogamously. Personally I think he is gay, but has to put on a facade to his fan base. My biggest complaint with the show is how he always has a problem with people being fake, hypocrite much. He is literally the most fake a person could possibly be. He uses a fake name, has extensions, has had tonnes of plastic surgery, uses makeup off stage, wears a cowboy hat but he's from the suburbs. I think he has played the character Bret Michaels so long he thinks he is real.
Dads (2013)
I like this show but....
Dads is one of those so close shows. The writing is a little dry, but I assume that is due to Network TV restrictions being so ridiculous. The true enemy to this show is Peter Riegert, he is a terrible actor and he doesn't have the credibility or likability to play such a character. He has zero chemistry with Seth Green, but luckily Seth Green can carry the scenes. I personally think the rest cast is stellar.
Sadly, they are going to have to add Implausible relationship story lines over the facade of their former show, like The Big Bang Theory, to attract coveted female viewers. Females as a majority don't like intelligent writing, good jokes or wit. They only want the exact cookie cutter romance smut story told over and over. "Let's make Romeo a vampire this time."
The Big Lebowski (1998)
Not a Comedy
This is just a long boring crime movie with no mystery and fewer jokes. This movie has no more comical moments than any other "action" movie. Jeff Bridges is not a comedian nor funny, and is insolent in his satire. He is just another terrible actor riding his parents coattails. The Coen Brother are also not comic writers, frankly, they are the definition of overrated. Writing long boring movies isn't being deep, it's writing long boring movies. This film fails to entertain, unless you are some uptight over privileged classist who has never met real people, and enjoy the mockery of the lower class. There is a reason this bombed the box office...
King of the Nerds (2013)
Wouldn't they have known that?
I enjoyed this show, I just thought the outcome was strange. I had no objection to the outcome, but the criteria the "nerds" used to vote the winner was suspect. Her growing so much and overcoming stage fright, she proved to be a mighty actor and played everyone. It is common knowledge, especially in the nerd community, that Pro Gamers play before an audience. Also, anytime you win you are up on stage at the center of everyone's attention, not to mention press and promotion. Also, the "jury" thing is tired, by far the worst part of 'Survivor' and didn't satisfy here either. Have a legitimate contest for King, I think Nerds have spent their whole life losing to a popularity contest, why would you perpetuate such insolence?
