AWESOME!

I loved this film. The dialogues are wonderful and the story itself is amusing as we see J.César Monteiro in one of his best performances. The script has wonderful dialogues and is filled with bright and irreverent humour (a quality of Cesar Monteiro's writting). It's the story of an old-man (João Vuvu played by João César Monteiro) who has a son in jail and lives alone..strange events takes place as he goes to the hospital after being sodomized by a a very weird beard woman who fancies women. This is the last film by João César Monteiro because he left us this year at february..another victim of cancer..this film holds his memory.

Black Tea with Lemon (1993)

I liked this one. It's touching and sweet to see a portuguese movie that's not a waste of time, big waves for the old-lady who's always drinking strong tea with lemon. I recommend this film to everybody, but be sure to put the subtitles on. oh and portuguese people be kind enough to watch this movie because it's not a waste..like the majority..err..nevermind.

A Mulher que Acreditava Ser Presidente Dos EUA (2003)

one of the best Portuguese movies i've ever seen

plot : a woman (alexandra lencastre) lives in a house and acts like she's the president of the u.s.a the script is wonderful and the main idea is awesome, she gives interviews and her mother is a kinda demented and hash addicted old-lady (she's really funny too) she makes speeches about women rights and her husband is always sleeping (we never see his face 'cause he's always in bed with the sheets all over his face)her secretary (rita blanco) is attending a terapist and tells her about her strange dreams (very very surreal and wonderfully brought to screen) i saw this movie on the theatre and i must say that i loved it from the start. i recommend this film to everyone.

Donnie Darko (2001)

this is one of the best movies i've ever seen

i just loved this movie. its a great start for the rookie Richard Kelly, he wrote a great story and besides it gives you the chance of thinking about what really happened and let your imagination do the rest. the soundtrack is also very good (the score and the songs featured in the film) the performances are great. this is one of the best movies ever.
