Lost (2004–2010)
Best new show to come out in along time.
4 November 2004
Although the premise is old, being stranded on a deserted island. It gives a distinctive edge, first off all the characters are interesting, we have a doctor who went to find his father in Australia, only to find his father had died, but found his father on this mysterious island, we have a rock star junkie who is going through withdrawals, we have a korean couple who can't communicate with any of the other survivors even though the wife can speak perfect English (but she can't let anyone know for fear of her domineering husband), we have an Arabian? guy who is an expert in technology (possibly a terrorist?), we have a mixture of experts in their chosen fields whose only mission is to find a way off this island paradise, which is a paradox, a giant monster that which can only be described as gigantic which no one has actually seen, but may quite well be a dinosaur, a polar bear on a tropic island, giant wild boars, a distress call that has been playing in a loop for over 16 years. One thing I find both disturbing and amusing is that it is appearing to resemble Lord of the Flies with 2 camps being set up, one against the other. All said tho I think this is a show that could last for years and still be interesting, give it a chance if you have yet to watch it.

A truly important show
25 July 2004
With garbage like so-called reality shows, Survivor, etc. which have absolutely no basis in reality, this is one show that truly deserves the title of a reality show, John Walsh has probably helped to solve more heinous crimes than any police detective in history. I don't watch AMW that often, mostly cuz where I live very little serious crime happens (I live in the boondocks), but I admire what Mr. Walsh is trying to accomplish, I think John Walsh deserves the Nobel Peace Prize for his show, but I get the feeling that if he were to ever win such an honour he would donate the money to a charity that specializes in helping victims families cope with crimes that were thrust upon them by sick criminals.

Disturbing lack of cowardness by cops
29 June 2004
Its pretty sad when stuff like this happens, unfortunately it happens more often than one might think, and whats even sadder is in this day and age, more than 10 years after DNA has been recognized in courts as a perfect match, that some people still believe that innocent people are guilty, even when their DNA can prove they are beyond any reasonable doubt innocent. People will still be looking at this kid that know him and say, "Oh he murdered his sister" , I know this for a fact, a person in a town not far from where I live spent over 10 years in jail for a murder he did not commit, it wasn't until DNA could be used in Canadian courts that he could completely prove his innocence, he was also browbeaten into a confession, but even with the DNA linking the murder to someone else (who has yet to be found) people in his community think the guy is still guilty. His biggest crime as far as I can tell is that he was a bit weird. And the fact he had actually met the girl he was accused of killing a couple of times, the place he lives in is about 5000 people at most, probably less at the time of the girl disappearing. I live in a town of about 15,000 and have met thousands of people in the town I live in over my lifetime, so if one of them gets murdered, am I gonna be on a suspect list?

MacArthur should have been charged for war crimes.
24 June 2004
War is a brutal business, and people are going to die. But to execute anyone, for simply not wanting to kill or be killed to me is outright murder. I could understand sending him to the stockades for a few months, but to out and out order his murder just to make an example is wrong on so many levels. Personally forcing anyone to kill or be killed is way more cowardly than what Eddie Slovik did. Slovik, at least as far as the way the movie presented him, while not being an angel, was a man of principals after he left the reformatory. He never lied about his intentions, all he wanted was a discharge. He was willing to spend time in the stockades and face contempt most likely when he got back to the states. I liked at the end of the movie after he was pronounced dead where Ned Beatty's charachter said "the bravest man here today was Eddie Slovik". War is a horrible thing that has been going on for around 5000 years, and probably will keep on for another 5000, if we as a people don't kill ourselves and our planet first.

Family Guy (1999– )
Bad satire
30 March 2004
Family Guy is a bad satire. It should take cues from the only decent cartoon of the modern era, The Simpsons. Family Guy takes potshots at modern american life I guess, but doesn't do so in either a convincing nor a comedic or realistic view of life. First of all we have a boring little snot of a baby, whose only comedic relief is that he wants to rule the world. Sorta like a jr. bush i guess, then we have a dog that is supposed to be intelligent? gee if i had a dog i would be a billionaire if the dog could speak. Then we have a snotty chick who is the sister, what her point is lost. Then we have the stupid brother, who's point is also lost. Then we have the wife, who is just a mock of Peggy Bundy, totally an airhead who pretends to have a point, If you want a cartoon that is funny and has something to say about life, then pass up on Family Guy, if you like crude obnoxious comedy which really has nothing to say then watch Family Guy, this show is for those people. Some people that are educated will like this show, most people with a brain however will not.

Dragon Ball Z (1989–1996)
Worst garbage to ever be shown on tv
9 March 2004
And that is saying alot. This show is about as intelligent to watch as say watching paint dry, but at least watching paint dry isn't as annoying. The animation is bad, the voices are annoying beyond belief, and the plot is like watching a Street Fighter game, there is no plot other than to annoy people in its idiocy. Its like a little kids show except for the violence. The only reason I have ever even seen the show is cuz sometimes I am forced to watch this dreadful piece of garbage. Scale from 1 - 10, I give it a ZERO, and thats WAY higher than it deserves. People who's intelligence is about the same as someone who likes Teletubbies or Barney might enjoy this drivel.

To say that woody allen is a genius
24 February 2004
Is an insult to idiots, granted MASH is not as much of a masterpiece that it has been credited for, it is still better than any Woody Allen movie, some reviewer said that Woody Allen produced better movies than Robert Altman, umm not really unless you like really bad movies, at least Robert Altman can produce an intellectual story which is more than I can say about Woody Allen, possibly the worst writer in the history of film, even the 3 Stooges were more intelligent.

Mindless Garbage
20 January 2004
On a scale of 1 to 10, this show rates a big fat zero, I would give it a worse rating but zero is the lowest that can be given. His humour is idiotic at best. The best part of his show is when its over. I have to give him credit tho, it takes talent to have absolutely no talent and have a show last 10 years.

Other than the animation....
26 August 2003
nothing good can be said about this movie, the music sucked, and although i am not a fan of musicals, this has to be the worst musical of all time. Music is supposed to add to a movie, not be the entire story, I mean i am sorry but 2 hours or however long this movie was of entirely crappy music is just tooo much. Tim Burton should stick to art direction, the only half decent film he ever made was Beetlejuice, and even that was barely decent. I give this movie a one (on a scale of ten).

The only thing that scared me about this movie
8 July 2003
The only thing that scared me about this movie was the fact that i actually spent $5 and 2 hours of my life on a movie that really sucked large. On a scale of 1 to 10 i could not even give it a vote, cuz negative numbers would have to be my vote. Not scary, very boring. On a scale of garbage i would personally say this movie ranks high tho.
