The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 (2011)

It's not all bad....

I was half looking forward and half not looking forward to seeing this film. After New Moon I was skeptical. But Breaking Dawn was the best book out of the saga. So I went with an open mind. Honestly I wouldn't have gone to see it only my friend is a total "Twi-hard". Its starts off with Jacob receiving an invitation to Bella and Edward's wedding,this angers him and he runs off into the forest. The wedding itself,I have to admit, was beautiful.Then the happily married couple set off for the honeymoon and they have a lovely,romantic time.Then it all goes pear-shaped. The good points of this film were as follows: The soundtrack was very good and suited the atmosphere totally.The scenery was breathtaking. Now for the bad points:I don't care what anyone says neither Kristen Stewart nor Robert Pattinson can act.Not many of the cast can.Also it was cheesy in parts.Many parts.

Still overall it certainly was not the worst of the saga and it is not the best. If you're not an absolute fan of it then you're not going to enjoy it.

Elfen Lied (2004)

Brutal, sharp and poignant. A triumph!

Elfen Lied could be described as a bigger tearjerker than Titanic. It is one of the most poignant, deep and saddest of all animes. Although it's not for everyone particularly the faint of heart. It follows the story of a young girl named Lucy who is part of a new race. She meets Kouta a college student but soon realizes that it's not for the first time. She is being hunted down by a ruthless assassin and government soldiers.

Due to an injury to the head Lucy's personality splits and she becomes a sweet, gentle person going out of her way to make people happy especially Kouta. Yet when under attack she becomes the cold blooded killer.

If you like gore, romance and incest this here is right up your street, if not I suggest you steer clear. This anime will make you cry, laugh , gasp and smile. I loved it! 9/10 stars.

Mars Attacks! (1996)

Really funny!

I LOVE this film!It's hilarious!I really don't understand how some people cannot like it.It's got an all star cast,great comedy and brilliant theme music.When the aliens come to Earth,they state that they come in peace but when they see a dove they panic and start attacking everyone in sight.At first the scientists hope that it's just a cultural misunderstanding but when they come back they blow up Congress.The aliens then begin destroying the rest of the planet.What can be done?My dad first showed me this film a few years ago on video and I watched it every night for a week.An absolute 9/10!I recommend this film to anyone who likes parodies and anyone who is a Tim Burton fan.

Flashdance (1983)

A classic!

After I saw the music video for What A Feeling I was desperate to see the movie itself.I absolutely love it!I got it there two weeks ago and have not stopped watching it.The soundtrack is brilliant and the dance scenes are great.Flash dance is a really iconic eighties film.The story is a simple one,Alex is a welder but she wants to be a dancer.She dances in a club but she dances to dance meaning she loves doing it.She is a feisty girl who sometimes comes off as a bit immature yet likable.She is responsible for the torn sweater and leg warmers that were huge in the eighties.If your a fan of the eighties like me then you'll love this movie.8/10

The Lost Boys (1987)

The ultimate vampire movie!

This is just my most favorite movie ever!Its scary ,funny and has lots of action.What I like about this movie so much is that the vampires are scary,eat people and do not sparkle in the sun like they do in twilight(ugh).Some say people like for nostalgia but their wrong.I'm 15 and I love it!Corey Haim is such a sweetheart in this movie and I love the Frog Brothers .They're so funny and I love Corey Feldman as Edgar Frog he's hot!So was Kiefer Sutherland!I ADORE the song Cry Little Sister, I think it really suits the movie,I really want the soundtrack ,cant find it any where.I have this on DVD and watch it every week.Its a classic!Watch it once and you'll watch it all the time ,its that good!It'll never get old,it'll always be funny. 10/10

License to Drive (1988)

A fun movie!

I freaking love this movie!Its hilarious!The bit with the drunk just kills me every time.This is an absolute classic,one of the best 80s movies.Haim is SO funny in this(RIP)!and so is Feldman.I laugh so hard every single time I watch it, it just never gets old!Carol Kane does a great job as the pregnant mother and Richard Masur is brilliant.This is a timeless film, I showed it to my friends and they loved it!I may turn them into Corey fans!Heather Graham does a good job in this too, she was quite funny and I like the dress she wears at the party.If you have not seen this movie yet, then rent it,order it,it is well worth it!Id recommend it to Corey fans and comedy lovers.8/10

Stand by Me (1986)

brilliant movie

This movie has to be my most favorite of all time!Now I love 50s music and I really want to read the novella,I love Stephen Kings work.I love the characters especially Chris but I love Teddy too, I love his laugh! I think Kiefer Sutherland is a perfect Ace and all the actors did a bang up job on their roles. Id like to see other movies by Rob Reiner as he did an excellent job on this one.What makes this movie so special is the friendship between the boys.I wish I could go on an adventure with my friends like them.I also really want the soundtrack!I really cant fault this movie.In my eyes,its perfect!Id recommend this to anyone who likes drama and a good soundtrack.
