Amazing, even for non football fans
2 January 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Wow, being a football fan, was afraid of how it will turn out, but holy moses it was phenomenal. The narrative was perfectly written as being one of the best WCs ever won by the greatest player ever. So really appreciated that there were no useless forced hollywoodish action added, just elaborated the actual happenings that were let's say, epic enough. Mentioned the nuanced stories for the relevant teams, solid experts and really nice icons interviewed, amazing achievement.

Netflix nails the sports docus that are about the relevant sports' GOATs, as Last dance too was immaculate.

The only reason I got 9, as I could have imagined longer or more episodes with more matches/countries elaborated, though probably woulda been too much info for a non football fan so overall, amazing docu.

Enola Holmes (2020)

Worst Holmes iteration
1 November 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Having rather high hopes for this movie, it appeared to be a disappointing experience. A-list cast was totally wasted on this film.

They made a rather laughable feminism movie of a detective family written for the late XIX. Century.

Compared to Downey's or Cumberbatch's most recent and well made adaptations, this was terrible in the aspect of dialogs, characters, chemistry and nuance or story for that matter. Cavill as Holmes basically read his surprisingly uninteresting lines and Mycroft as this heartless bully, c'mon. Bullet proof vests were also a bit overused considering the story is taking place in 1890s.

Not sure what it is about
4 October 2022
Was this movie intended to be a romantic comedy, or drama, for teenagers or family? Really not sure.

The casting is horrible, Hoffmann is pretty much okay, however way too unbelievable to be a 15 year old business man and actor. And this Alana? Cannot really recall if ever seen a more unappealing woman or main character in any movie. Would not mind that not a well known good looking actress plays such a part, and focus on average people with average looks, but according to the script, kind of all the men she interacts with are charmed by and attracted to her. She wasn't humorous, or kind, or pretty whatsoever, dates and flirts with a teenager, really weird heroine choice.

Worst movie of PTA and the first one, that I got no idea what his message or purpose of its making was.

If it wasn't obvious how awful the world we live in, watch this trial
28 September 2022
Man, if it was not totally obvious so far how horrendously overcomplicated and awful world we're living in, just watch this nonsensical true story. The fact that Bundy was joking and complaining at the court is just ridiculous. Found way too many laughter and smiles by detectives and attorneys remembering back. The dude was a sadistic necrophile raper, those girls suffered who knows how cruelly and he smiles and smirks there for months with better food and accommodation than most.

The incompetency also is terrifying, states could not lift the phone nationwide, that there is a sick raper, odd case, alert if similar happens?

Decent documentary, although for the more real picture of Bundy, more gory details would have sufficed what he did, as he was sick, and almost gets sympathetic by the end without really knowing what those poor individuals went true.

Pretty soft for the genre
27 September 2022
If one makes a lengthy series about Jeffrey Dahmer, one of the most infamous and sick -he was necrophile, cannibal and relentless - person in the world, a raw and more intense approach would have sufficed. An Ari Aster or Gus Van Sant type of rawness and realness could have been much better. There were very few intimacy, always in shorts, while in reality as we know, that was not the case that they remained in clothes for a long time.

Richard Jenkins is amazing as the father as he has been ever since Six feet under.

I really do not get when there is such a compelling real life story as is, why the unnecessary changes. Kinda expected way more, got a huge potential.

Normal People (2020)

These ain't "normal people"
29 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The whole story is filled with dumb and illogical decisions, 2 people love each other, find themselves time and time again and still are not talking about their feelings and thoughts which cause the complications and misunderstandings. If that is normal that one loves another person, and yet constantly be with someone else, who they know they have no feelings, what is abnormal? If one loves another person clearly, why being with pricks and get into humiliating relationships?

On the other hand, they're both like the best students, smartest in school & university, that "normal"? I guess the way below average emotional intelligence plus way above average IQ or academic capabilities equal "normal", otherwise I ain't normal, and hekk if ever want to be such.

Fun run that lacks depth
13 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Chris Hemsworth is nailing the character, that became mostly comedic at this point. As being a great actor, would not mind if the story was more dramatic.

Didn't really dig that the guardians were shown rather lame & powerless and whatever is up with gamora? Didn't she "resurrect" after Endgame?

Also would not mind if gorr had more than 3mins of an origin story, kinda wasted Bale as he really could have given much more depth to the character.

Overall, it is a fun run, not many nail biting excitement or complex plot, but a hilarious & lively adventure.

Gets unwatchable by the 3rd season
8 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
It flows kinda okay with funny and unexpected moments till the end of 2nd season. From then it gets absurd, totally idiotic and illogical. Acting is good, but kinda wasted with a sloppy over the top plot.

Finally, what a nice utopia
4 July 2022
At last, the show arrived to its peak and what it predestined. Something similar could occur in the real world, as however accurately the show pinpoints the wealth caused differences and thrive for power without any remorse, in reality it is just as horrible & disappointing. It was a nice delusion, an utopian episode that gives minimal satisfaction for a normal working dude, living month by month because real world riches said so.

Ran out of creativity by the end
21 June 2022
The show was always kinda too pretentious with long walks, slow mos and unnecessary close ups. These just exceeded at the final season, paired with worse writing and overall plot.

That Anya actress is really frightening with her eyes a km apart from each other and intended to be sexy i assume. Very few and uninteresting Arthur character development, that gypsy plotline with Tommy's daughter's death is just nonsensical, especially dragging it for half the last season and so on and so on. Got a huge potential after season 5, but that IRA thread lacked creativity. Cillian is pretty good, but the hour long episodes got 30 mins him walking and smoking extra closely or the other half he is just doing some dumb things led by gypsy superstitions. Expected way better ending, Tommy vs Michael, Arthur's character was awfully uncreativily written, Graham's subplot did not make any sense, wasted a great actor/character.

Overall, rather disappointing series from season 4, and by the end, one could say the series is really "nothing special".

Unfortunate decline in story
4 May 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Man, what a disappointment, expected way more interesting plot as Strange is one of the coolest and most powerful characters - at least so far it seemed, as Wanda just mopped the floor with him and kinda everybody. She is waaaay more overpowered than supposed to and her motive as a main villain? Being with her children in another universe... Rather unoriginal, kinda we got that in Wandavision. The sensation hunting with other universe's characters were not used well or interestingly whatsoever, while that america chavez girl is just a terrible actor with zero chemistry with the stars. Just a weak story, badly used characters, way too much nonsensical "fight", was a missed opp, really hoped marvel can still be on that level than before Endgame, however seems Spiderman was the last big hit that was spot on. Thor is the last hope, the rest is seemingly ruined or much lower quality than the predecessors.

The Batman (2022)

Overrated, like Nolan's masterpieces didn't exist
8 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
My bad, having such high expectations for this film, wish I hadn't. First of all, way too long, totally unnecessarily as the plot and characters are not that interesting to keep up the attention. Yet another pg13 movie, unlike Nolan's trilogy, it doesn't have neither the story and convos, nor the heroes/villains that would be appealing to the movie's lame "comic bookian" SNIKT BOOM BIFF! Style fight scenes. This dark/noir style would have been fitting to a Logan or Joker type R rated comic book movie.

Have no idea of such a hype, Batman-Alfred relationship is really uninteresting- unlike at its predecessors -, he is not respected or feared by neither the police nor the villains. The unnecessarily overcomplicated falcone plot is just nonsensical, expecting us to believe and engage with that John Turturro's overall funny looking dude as the big feared boss of everyone for decades. And that lame "joker" convo at the end?

Not worth to sit through, can't be mentioned in the same sentence with Nolan's trilogy's any part.

Good premise, mediocre execution
11 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
It started with an interesting premise, then the slow build up and no character development led to a mediocre show. The lil native dude is a terrible actor, got zero chemistry or any expression in his voice or face with his "mother" or the infamous roy. The ending battle was just lame, everyone riding into the middle of the town and let themselves butchered by the hidden enemy ladies? The gorgeous Michelle Dockery shouldn't waste her beauty/nude scene for this sloppy plot.

Terrible movie
10 February 2022
Horrible movie, just Reynolds' usual funny ad libs give a few funny - or less lame - moments. Otherwise, the rock is a joke, really bad actor, literally says nothing more than a few sloppy catchphrases, couldn't keep up with Reynolds at all, he got zero chemistry with him or gadot in the movie. Man 200 mill for this trash, getting lower and lower quality in movies.

Don't Look Up (2021)
6/10
A really good satire that just goes way over the top
28 December 2021
Surprisingly, it is LDCs worst or least believable performance for decades. Meryl Streep is actually a real life trump if he was president with don jr as Jonah Hill and as the actress nails her character as well as she does all of hers, it just didn't suit her whatsoever. Ariana grande is just like she is in real life, an arrogant dumb chick who is definitely not the sharpest knife in the drawer and would act the same as her alter ego in this movie. And timothee chalamet, yet again, seems like there can't be a movie without him in it, which is sad as he again just plays a weird adolescent with zero depth. Cate Blanchett is great as well as Rylance as usual. But man, rose from two and half men as DiCaprio's wife? Tell me about zero chemistry between wedded partners, and also their kids who are random dudes who look older than Leo. J. Lawrence's performance is totally forgettable. Expected way better movie from its premise but went way over the top, which is sad, as in nowadays' world, such an event's handling would be quite frighteningly similar.

Great assembly
18 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Plot is a bit sloppy, however all 3 spidermen are amazing, Garfield and Maguire are stealing the show when on screen, they got better chemistry towards the cult hero, than Holland in general. Looking forward the next installments, as long as these eternals and shang chi or marvel and stuff are accompanied by the "classic" strange, guardians and thor movies, MCU can still be really well done and enjoyable.

Weird movie
10 December 2021
Slow-pacing, rather storyless plot with a walking chopstick kid with zero facial expressions thus zero chemistry with the characters. Don't really get the critics' praise. It really didn't go anywhere.

Who thinks it's funny??
11 August 2021
Man, it is so unfunny & annoyingly bad I gotta switch channel even when the trailer appears. Whoever finds it funny, wonder what they think of Office or Brooklyn 99 or Modern family with 100 times more realistic plot & creative jokes. I haven't cracked a smile for this trash, but facepalm; well, rather often.

Gosh, this series would be mediocre tops if not the original beloved characters' involvement
20 December 2020
Warning: Spoilers
My god this hype, just watching the series' unfunny and uninteresting plot with forced convos without any chemistry between the characters whatsoever. The stupidity of mando by which he ends up in situations that he only survives by luck or spontaneous acts are just dumb. The "tough" women's squad is quite funny though, making the whole just more ridiculous and unattached to the original. Imagine if Grogu wasn't involved in the first, and Luke in the second series... These two cause the hype, otherwise the series is mediocre tops.

Gosh, hardly cracked a smile
1 October 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Did this series win that many Emmys? Really? I was just binge watching it during this quarantine after hearing its success and man, it was just plain horrible, that cracked smile occurred after the garden's title fail by Eugene Levy's character in S02 , that is all. Unbelievable, unimaginable, dumb, sloppy, over the top, unimportant, many times rather annoying storyline and conflicts, it is really a horrible show - Eugene Levy's character is mostly likable, but the focus is on his homosexual son. No problem with that, but they did not manage to make it interesting or enjoyable or relatable, let alone funny. Really disappointed that in late 2010's this series is considered good and even gets 6 seasons and awards. I really hope that TV is not going to this direction, when the most relatable and "important" plot is to be able to keep a baby's gender unrevealed. The other episodes' stories? Even less interesting or relatable...

Just why?
27 May 2020
Considering that somebody had this idea to make this show, and how many people had to contribute and approve to the point that this "series" is aired now, it is unbelievable. Hardly can find anything worse than this. I suppose, 2020 has already had its issues, so do not challenge your patience with this unfunny mess.

Just wanted another Office...
1 May 2020
Was a bit late catching up with The office series, but ever since I did, the rest of the shows like that are ridiculously awful. Unfunny, unrealistic, uninteresting, terribly annoying and antipathetic characters, horrible plot, etc. I gave up after 2 seasons, got like 2 tiny smiles, which describes perfectly, how "funny" this comedy is. Avoid it at all costs, as well as Parks and rec - however, there at least Offerman and Pratt are watchable and funny. Watch Office for 20th time instead.

Man, this is ridiculously terrible
30 January 2020
If I hadn't watched it during a flight to pass time, I would have wanted my more than 2 hours back. Disaster plot, ridiculous - in a bad way - & sloppy conversations, terrible motive to cause the conflict, official that another overall interesting franchise is being ruined. Don't watch it if you're a Godzilla fan.

Joker (I) (2019)
9/10
Movie of the decade
3 October 2019
After Heath Ledger's brilliant and deep performance of the Joker, I would not have thought that there was anything left in the character to be new or worth to explore. However, I was wrong. This totally new dark approach of the infamous comic book villain is perfectly fitting into today's careless society, where everybody just concern about themselves and the wealthy & famous people shape the trends like "what is good or bad" or what is "funny", and thus what have "value" to make money from. Thank goodness, there are still - very few though - filmmakers who fight for creating artistic and deep movies which are original and have something to say and point out. The time has not yet come when movie studios budgeting only movies with Tom Holland's abs with poor plots and sloppy conversations. Please, make sure it will never.

This is truly a masterpiece, will be and should be a cult film.
