The Simpsons: Fears of a Clown (2018)
What the hell was this?
The previous episode was good, but this is just lazy writing!
I mean really, what the hell!
It just has some crazy puns, that are by itself kind of funny. I'm saying "kind of" because it really doesn't build up any moment.
Would enjoy it as a clip show, but the pacing is horrible, no buildup, tension, no story and it even takes content from other episodes (from the lines of Clark Gable, the fracking stuff, and a lot more).
Most of the moments have no start or end, it just happens for the sake of recording enough minutes to make it an episode
Did you guys just had a session of mindless voiceovers in a room,
or did you outsource it to India?
Anyway, the writer and some other people should be fired!
The Cabin in the Woods (2011)
Amazing 1h 3min and 37s, big twist, and just downhill from there
I think my title says it all.
It is a marvellous story about some teenagers, going on a vacation in the woods.
It beautifully builds suspense from the opening scene to the bloody twist.
No annoying jump-scares, that are just meant to be jump-scares, to build suspense for no reason, but really great direction with a good story as a basis.
As a horror genre lover, I really enjoyed the twist from, having a great time with friends, to monsters killing everyone in just a stupid quick death way.
There was some blood and I enjoyed it...
I said to myself: "well-done guys, well done..."
And then ****spoiler****
the stoned guy comes back and ruins the movie.
I mean, it just went downhill from there.
OK, there was this amazing "show all monsters that ever existed" scene, and kill everyone in a big blood-bath.
But they just kept explaining the plot. Nothing seemed believable after that.
And the ending... OMG... just doesn't make any sense.
This is their explanation: "Every attempt in every country in the world failed, to give a sacrifice to the almighty old ruler of the world, so you have to kill that boy, so he won't destroy the world"
NO WORDS
In summary: "Could have been a great movie, but just didn't care for the ending".
Black Dynamite (2009)
BEST MOVIE EVER!
I will be brief!
You will either love it, and by that I mean "you will really love it", or you will hate it, which means "You will really hate it!"
It's one of those movies that makes you for a strong opinion.
For me, I LOVED IT! Best movie ever! Thanks Michael Jai White for this amazing masterpiece. It is so quotable!
I actually met a lot of girls, talked about the movie and before you know it, I was rewatching it with them =)
Ok, ok, back to the review.
No spoilers! Just watch the movie! and thank me later!
Burnt (2015)
Just watched it the 9th time!
As my click-batty title may apply, I really enjoyed watching this movie!
Everything in it is just gold!
I am becoming a real fanboy of Bradley. Everything he plays in is just freaking amazing! - sorry for the passion - but you can really see his preparation of each role.
The fact that he knows French, studied Gordon Ramsey and other great chefs, worked in a kitchen for a while, really shows in this masterpiece of a movie!
I also liked the little touch, that not everyone may know, where most of the kitchen staff, were actually real cooks and chefs.
I was a bit skeptical about all other actors, like Sienna, Daniel, etc., but...
bravo (clap, clap). They were amazing.
The movie resonates with me on a deep level, since I'm a business owner, working in the creative field and aiming to reach the premium level as portraid here.
In a nutshell. Great movie with an amazing story and some of the best performances I ever seen.
A must watch!
How I Met Your Mother (2005)
This series is gold, except for the last season!!!
How I met your mother is a great series, that really resonated with me, since I'm was studying architecture, one of my best friends is a lawyer and I pretty much have a circle of friends with good game =)
The most entertaining characters were Barney and Marshall and it was very consistent in it's episodes.
Everyone had a great short story, that filled you up with drama, laughter, tragedy, emotions, and short on spot humour.
All that said, ...
the final season was horrible.
Each episode felt like a filler episode, which ultimately ended with the worst 2 episodes ending ever. It all just felt rushed, with some strange, lazy twists.
Even the acting felt... forced.
Sorry, if I'm being a bit emotional, but ultimately, was a great show, that I would totally rewatch!
Jue zhan shi shen (2017)
Horrible storyline and dialogs, but the most amazing sound effects and CGI.
All together I loved the movie, since I watched it purely because of the cooking scenes.
But as the movie began I was getting frustrated, because the story had no sense from the beginning (it is like from a children's book), and don't get me started on the voice-over.
But I quickly figured out that it is probably meant to be watched with a lot of humour, so I continued to watch it laughing at the stupid scenes and really enjoying the pure cooking moments.
Seriously, the movie has some of the best sound effects and CGI I've ever seen. Purely from that point, I loved it.
In summary, horrible story and scripts, but amazing sound effects and edits.
Ich seh, Ich seh (2014)
just speechless
Normally I don't write reviews, and this is actually my first on here on IMDb. I have just watched the movie and am still in a shock because of the last 15min.
I don't recommend, that you do as I did and watch it by yourself. In the end you will probably question reality for a while and start to write a review on your favorite movie website =)
The small cast does an amazing job, leaving you completely speechless in the end. Because I don't want to kill the moment for you when you actually go watch it, I won't write anything more, to avoid any kind of SPOILERS.
I will just say that "if you like psychological thrillers, then I fully recommend it".
Cheers
