A fresh break from CW's usual mess but still lacking.
24 January 2022
After the mess the Arrow/Flash/Legends has turned into I went in with very low expectations. Gotta say this is a genuine and mature change from the silliness that had been going around previously. The special effects are plenty and well done! The characters are interesting. The plot actually does make sense compared to the Arrowverse. However Season 2 is far sillier and boring compared to the first. There are many great superhero shows out there with marvel and they have to keep up with the time!

What a mess! Utter nonsense

Makes your head spin. Just about everything is going in the name of time travel. CW and DC have completely lost the plot. Please stop making this show along with Flash and Arrow (once a great show) and focus on Stargirl, Titans, Doom Patrol. And in the name of Jesus don't let the characters from the better shows crossover with your previous shows. You'll only be degrading them.

Thank you for ending this show!
22 January 2022
It's getting more and more ridiculous by the season. Everyone dies and comes back to life. Everyone is a villain and a superhero too. There is sometimes no explanation fir events that occur. Maybe a 7 year old would find it entertaining but even his little brain will explode from all the confusion this show has created. We understand you can't keep up with marvel but this is not DC's legacy. Stop wasting your budget on those shows and focus on the bigger picture.

Please make more! Ignore the bad reviews.
5 January 2022
We all know the transition from games to movies isn't the easiest thing to do but the fact that we have the Resident Evil movies back on screen is a good start. It wasn't the best but it wasn't awful either. And the fact that they started from the origin sets up enough opportunities to develop on future films.

It was a fun watch except for the characterisation of Leon (what made y'all make him into a bum?). Sony is probably wondering how this performs to see if they should make another one or not. I would rather see more RE films out there for better or worse than not being made at all.

Watching this in 2022
5 January 2022
I was tired with all the bad tv/movies coming out past few years and so I went through a bunch of 10-12 year old movies when I was 16-17 that I grew up watching. Jennifer's Body was one of the movies I had missed and decided to give it a try rather than watch some fantasy/anime/pg-13 c*ap (that is literally all over netfilx) But honestly Jennifer's Body was a lot of fun. They don't make movies like these anymore. The world is changing and all the studios/filmmakers are getting softer and taking lesser chances not throwing big money at projects that are supposed to be just that - a fun watch. Being scared of what socialists out there think of creativity because obviously a bunch of those extra-sensitive babies with lollipops in their mouth with start crying and protesting i.e if the movie already hasn't gone under the ''cancel culture''. Now everything has to make sense. Every loose end needs to be tied. Every character has to have an extremely deep meaning of life or what they are going through. Of course I am not dissing an all of them some of them are really good but whatever happened to the good-ol-leave-your-brain-at-home-pop-culture-entertainment. I guess - Goodbye?

Learn and grow South Korea!
26 December 2021
I truly believe South Korean movies are some of the best out there in every genre there is. Lately their foray into science fiction has been successful but this show right here doesn't hit the mark. Nothing really happens in the first 3 episodes. The "science fiction drama" is a very tough genre to break into and a very niche market compared to "action or thriller". The trailer promised to be something the show isn't. It is quite boring and uninteresting at most times. There isn't much CGI to being with and you don't really connect with any of the characters. However I will never NOT watch a South Korean science fiction film because sometimes they hit it out of the park but this show doesn't!

Wasn't needed
24 December 2021
I love Clint Barton and although this show had some good moments overall it wasn't all great. It tried to be funny but wasn't. It felt more PG 13 than any other marvel show or movie. What I loved was the opening scene/a few action scenes here and there, Kate Bishop and it was nice to see Kingpin again.

Didn't really care for the new character Maya although good of them on the casting.

Never cared for Yelena. She was never spoken about through Black Widow's time in Marvel till the time they just randomly introduced her in the prequel movie. That fake Russian accent is too much. Would have rather picked a Russian actor or just went with a normal accent. Florence Pugh is a talented actress but something about her role as Yelena doesn't live up to her predecessors. All in all this show wasn't really required and all we are taking away from it is the introduction of Kate as the new hero and to see how she fits into the future of the marvel universe.

Playing this in late 2021....
16 December 2021
Playing this on PC in late 2021 and didn't encounter a single bug! They did a great job patching things up with the recent updates. I waited the hype and purchased it after they released the updates so as to not spoil my experience of my first next-gen game!

However..... having said that it is not entirely worth the hype ; its a good game sure but quite repetitive. The main quest was quite short and sometimes the dialogues would never end. I love deep lore RPG games, but man there was just too much talking and most of it quite unnecessary. The inventory management was a mess too.

What I did absolutely love is hacking and slashing my way through with the sword - incredibly satisfying when the finishing move was performed. If only they had introduced it to other melee weapons.

Didn't care for it
16 December 2021
I am playing this game in late 2021 so I might be at fault for not enjoying this game - a bit. Neither have I played the previous games and even after watching the recap I had no idea what the hell was going on. I only played it because it was available on steam (clearly this game was not made for pc) and the download size was a whooping 100GB making me wonder if it was a big deal. The gameplay is funny and the gaudy characters are just very unattractive. Maybe it just wasn't my style and let my expectations get the better of me.

Pretty Boring!
16 December 2021
It started off well and exciting, but the problem with open world-RPG is - how to keep it as interesting as the first 12 hours of gameplay. It gets quite repetitive failing to deliver. People who enjoy deep lore games with excessive story and dialogues will enjoy this game but other than that there isn't much here. The part that I disliked the most is how you get thrown off from side quests to its sub-quests and thereafter, taking you away from the main storyline.

The inventory management is also a mess, from limited weapon upgrades to skill, perk points etc. The concept of travelling between planets was a solid one but at the same time feels very cartoonish.

Call of Duty: Vanguard (2021 Video Game)

A waste of money!
10 December 2021
There is a whole world of difference between Vanguard and Cold War.

Campaign - It's alright, nothing great.

Multiplayer - Pretty average, the operators are quite horrible though Zombies - Could not have done a worse job. I don't understand how a game can get worse from being the best at Zombies. I'm going back to play zombies on Cold War. This one is just ridiculous.

Please allow players who have bought all games to merge and play as they feel like. For example - It would be pretty cool if I could use weapons from Warzone and Vanguard to play Zombies in Cold War.

Since Dec 6th you've already merged the ranking progression. Why not do this as well?

It also really upsets me how they took the battle pass o it of Cold War and restricted it to Vanguard. Might as well let us have a crossover. We already gave you the money ; now give us what we want!

We know better!

Actually, we should have known better. We have been through such cinematic tortures before. So called A-list celebrities keep making nonsensical movies (whether on purpose or not we don't know)

gave me a headache
10 November 2015
The plot does not make sense at all. It almost gave me a headache to try and make sense of the plot while stifling through countless flaws in the movie. The nonsense eventually overpowers the film. The only reason I decide to sit through is for some good ass kicking by Mr.Orton but even that is a disaster. Unnecessary explosions and overhead shots from the drones makes the most of the movie. Felt more like a promotion for drones. If they had stuck to the original plot and made a sequel on just that I believe it would have been much more tolerable. Lionsgate-WWE being such a big production fails to deliver and has been since the past few projects.

Jurassic Prey (2015)

what has happened?!
7 September 2015
What director in his right mind would make a film like this?. I was born in the 90's and even the creature features of the 70's were far better than this. Why is it that the quality of B-movies are degrading?. I would like to think of this as a joke played by the director on the audience. All I can say is they are trying to capitalize on the success of Jurassic Park. Thinking, everyone with the word 'Jurassic' in the title would watch it. Do not encourage them. The T-rex is basically a rubber doll. The studio who made this film should be fined. Losing faith in B-movies. Even The Asylum have gotten better!.

stereotypical silliness
3 September 2015
Warning: Spoilers
Like every other typical creature film the Pod fails in the first 20 minutes itself. Nothing about this movie is a plus. The character of the sister was highly irritating. She kept screaming needlessly. All the film does it move towards a failed suspense towards a creature. preferably an alien who is locked up in the basement. Warned by the lunatic brother talking gibberish all the time. The alien whose presence we witness for about 2 minutes is basically a deforming skeletal body.....so its not really an alien?. AND WE DO NOT SEE ANY SORT OF POD in the movie only a bunch of people screaming their lungs out. I truly wish I had avoided this.

Catching up on the new b-grade spider-creature films? Give this a try!
13 March 2015
Now remember guys this movie was made 21 years ago and I'm reviewing this in 2015. I believe the golden age for b-grade low budget creature movies have gone. Now all we are left with are a few gems like this one - 'Ticks'. Take it from the title which is a lot better than 'Spiders' or 'Big ass spider'. Low budget creature films nowadays have ruined the subject matter with muddled script, horrible acting and those cheap cgi effects. Filmmakers nowadays are not even making an effort to come up with at least a decent watch, which is why I urge viewers to stop investing time watching those movies. DO NOT go by the poster, go by the ratings/reviews, not all are fools. Take their advice and give old gems a try.

Ticks being entertaining with a simple script and decent act has had me quiet impressed. Forget the cgi effects, doing it the old way has proved to be better than most.

Filmmakers today should sit at home and study this movie before they step out to make movies not even worth rating.

Thank You!

Die Fighting (2014)

Watch it just for the mixed-martial art, you'll laugh at the rest.
27 December 2014
This doesn't need to be one of those movies you will ignore by from the ratings or reviews. There have been plenty worse movies with a better cast and a bigger budget. Even though it's got one of the worst act on screen, the accents hurt your ears and a very very poor script with a faulty twist in the end. Yes, Yes there is plenty to mourn about this movie.

But one thing it serves up is some amazing mixed martial art. Its just a bunch of actors trying to gain more recognition by putting out their talents out there, which is quiet impressive and you almost end up feeling sorry for them. Most of the actors in this movie have played high profile stunt roles in some big movies and this is just their beginner project they have served up for you to give it a chance at the very least.

Except the action the rest of the elements drag you down, but the coordination between the actors is really good. With better direction and a bigger budget this would have definitely been a gem and yes maybe work on their accents a little bit.

Hey don't take my word for it,watch it to judge it but DO NOT EXPECT ANYTHING MORE THAN SOME GOOD MIXED MARTIAL ART, and I mean anything!

By the Gun (2014)
4/10
Every movie has a message -- none here.
27 December 2014
Warning: Spoilers
Ben Barnes, Harvey Keitel, Toby Jones is what had me but I say always go by the ratings/reviews. All actors delivered performances, but in what direction exactly was this movie heading into? Filmmakers tried to sugarcoat the film with intense performances but there was absolutely no background to support it hence it falls flat on the subject matter. There is the Godfather series, The Sopranos TV series which makes 'By the Gun' a by-product of poor film making and disappoints you in the subject matter.

Now the most weird thing was, To depict the life of a 'kid' who just got 'made', apparently he dies in the end, which was some kind of twist to make your head spin, and the guy who shoots him, also dies by the hand of the brother of the 'made guy' who had NO role in the movie, no character background, nothing, nada.

Leaves you feeling helpless. It tries to send out a message of friendship but not really, eventually turns out to be a subject of a tragic romance straight from the mafia world. The script shows that the Kid wants to do the right thing but then he doesn't. Why is it so confusing?!

Toby Jones was such a waste here. I hate it when actors like him fall victim to characters with no background, no density. You would realize that all he does in this movie is make a couple of phone calls and supervises a warehouse. He is a 'made guy'.

Not worth your time. Watch the Sopranos again instead.

Empire State (2013)

Fails to execute true events, mildly entertaining with an interesting cast. C+
22 August 2013
Warning: Spoilers
Empire State is an action-suspense based on a true story based on a robbery taking place in the late 80's. Even though based on true events it misses out on vital information and ends up being close to an entertainment piece. While the mood of the 1980's starts to set in it also lacks to develop an interest to what is going on. This is the result of slacking production. Do not raise your expectations cos of the cast and budget.

(Michael Angarano) was convincing in his role that though it got a bit loud sometimes. (Liam Hemsowrth) just manages to pull off his and finally (Dwayne Johnson) as a cop with hardly any part. He was just the poster boy and probably did it for the money or out of a favor. (Emma Roberts) has been hardly given any screen time.

Dito Montiel falls off short to keep the events in concurrence to the film. At the end we also see the real (Chris Potamitis) in an interview who says the money stolen disappeared but in the film its been said that it was hidden under a statue, a pointless addition of fiction. Hence concluding without true meaning.

I wouldn't be surprised to why an $11 million movie is being released straight to DVD. People wondering why I couldn't catch this up in the theaters will be thankful later.

*NOTE : $2 million of the loot was recovered

This game is so bad...
9 July 2011
I'm a huge fan of Harry Potter franchise, movies and video games. Well, this one is the worst in the whole series. Missing the original cast, a completely different story, with average graphics and the gameplay at its worst. The missions are very very silly. All of it is very dull and not engaging at all. You'll be led to a major disappointment if you try this one out. Better not to waste your time and money. I'm eagerly waiting and hoping for Deathly Hallows Part II (VG) to make a release as it is the final part of the series. It's a request to EA to please give us something worth to play. Rather not produce a game like this at all.

Why such bad ratings?
12 February 2011
Maybe it led people to believe it had something to do with the game franchise, saw it and felt helpless after. But that's not the movie's fault. Even thought the title was poorly chosen it would be wrong to misjudge it for the gaming franchise. Any good action-lover would mark it as a decent watch. It had Til Schweiger and Emmanuelle Vaugier. Also to be mentioned, Craig Fairbass. Udo Kier playing a part in the movie. Follow up his previous films. The movie runs very fast, it doesn't lag. Keeps you engaged and entertained. Why I rated this in its mediocrity is when I saw this had a budget of $30,00,000. It left me shocked with the feeling that it could have done so much better. Where did all that money go? It leaves you wondering and disappointing.
