Past Tense (2006)
An amazing thriller!
I had watched this movie back a few months ago, about a desperate mother trying to solve a mystery that her daughter draws in her visions. The girl, Sara Shay (Alexia Fast) has some troubles at her school, due to been given these horrific nightmares about a woman who was allegedly murdered. There are sufficient amount of clues towards the one woman's murder. The mother, Kim Shay (Paula Trickey) is quite the protective mother, wanting to solve this case, on the behalf of her daughter, who suddenly gets her nightmares stopped. But according to some research, the father/husband was supposedly killed by the same man who killed the other woman. She would go to the precipice of protecting her daughter, as she is later kidnapped, and held a hostage, till the mother arrives to save her daughter.
Honestly, I was very impressed with this movie. I'm into those thriller, suspense movies about a mother going to extreme lengths to protect her daughter. This movie was well done, and the characters all blended well with each other. If you're into these kinds of movies, "Past Tense" is the one for you. I rated this 8 stars because some scenes were a bit confusing, but overall, brilliant movie.
The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning (2008)
That's one fine "prequel"
I just picked this movie up today, of course wanting to hear Jodi Benson's gorgeous voice yet again. I had to wait a while before I was able to watch it, but it was worth the wait. It became an awesome movie that tells the "tail" of young Ariel. Personally, I love anything with mermaids and music in it. This movie did justice like the other one, "Return to Sea". Ariel's got six headstrong sisters, how they slept in the same room, it almost appeared as a sea-dormitory, and her father, Triton look so cute when he was younger. Even her mother, Athena, looked much like an older Ariel. Flounder himself was awesome, it was neat how both Ariel and Flounder met. This movie hadn't disappoint me at all, loved just about over %100 of fun, laughter, and music in this fine piece of brilliance. I always wondered what happened to Ariel's mother. But seeing a younger adult version of Triton was even just as unique. I also admired how Sebastian was into music heavily himself. I could watch this movie over and over again! Probably going to watch it in a few minutes, because that's how great it was! Awesome work, Disney! Ten stars is what I gave this comment for, it was brilliantly made, and it's a movie that I also recommend to anyone who's in love with the first two "Little Mermaid" & "Little Mermaid: Return to Sea" movies. As said before, you won't be disappointed...
The Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea (2000)
Yet another awesome sequel for a great movie
Well, most of these great movies from childhood managed to make amazing sequels to them. I grew up most of my childhood life watching "The Little Mermaid" and it still is my favorite movie. When I heard they were going to release the sequel to it, I thought it was going to be a total mess. But when I did get the movie, I wasn't disappointed at all. I was really looking forward to hearing Jodi Benson (Ariel) voice, because she's really got a gorgeous voice. But it's like Ariel is all grown up, she's got a child, Eric still sounds cute, Sebastian still so comical, Melody is much like her mother, King Triton has a gentle side. It was actually almost unique that they put Pat Carroll who previously done the voice of Ursula, and was the voice for Morgana, Ursula's sister. I wasn't ever disappointed, and I love mermaids too, so this movie made my day, when I was having a rough one, and I fell in love with it. So I'd really recommend this movie to all those who like sequels, and that you won't get disappointed.
I rated this movie with 8 stars, because it was genuinely made, the cast was awesome, and I love Jodi Benson. There were some scenes that didn't make sense, but it still is worth a look...
Aquamarine (2006)
Definitely an "All-Girls" movie to own
I had seen this movie a long time ago after it was released to DVD, and I had thought that it would have been one of those cheesy type of movies about kids getting into mischief at a beach resort. The actors and actresses in this movie certainly made it worth watching, and that I had adored both JoJo (Hailey) and Emma Roberts (Claire), and that it gives magic when they befriend a mermaid that is set to marry some merman if she doesn't find that one thing out there. I personally liked Emma Roberts a lot, she's partially the reason why I rented and then bought this DVD, but JoJo and Sara Paxton were just as amazing too. But that Raymond guy (Jake McDorman) was pretty good looking as well, which made the movie even more worth watching over and over again. This movie had certain at-the-moment magical features, and it was done very well, and yeah there's the occasional drama in it, but it's still worth a look at it.
Abandon (2002)
A Slight But Sensible Thriller
I know this is coming in so late. But I just wanted to say that this movie, even though it was less exciting, I really enjoyed the majority of it. There is one spoiler (WARNING: SPOILERS!!) in the movie if you guys hadn't noticed. While Katie gets a wee bit tortured by Embry, he locks her hands above her head and unzips his pants and then unzips Katie's pants. Obviously this ominous guy was about to do something bad to Katie. But other than that intense scene, this movie really a true depth to it all. I was able to buy the DVD finally, and watched it a few times already. So, overall, in my opinion, this movie was alright. Just a movie you can watch whenever you're super bored out of your minds.
Deux frères (2004)
Very lovable and cute
Two Brothers' was a very well made movie. All the animals in it were fantastic. Ever since I saw a beast with orange and black striped fur, preferably 'tigers' I was always interested with those creatures. All the excellent effects, and real live tiger cubs and regular tigers, dogs, other animals, were just really amazing. I have always wanted to see a movie based on just with real tigers.
This movie was really a real story based on fact about wildlife. You don't see many tigers here on this planet of ours. There are always poachers, hunters, and skin-eyes-teeth craving people that made a bad difference to the well known wildlife.
We have to take care of those wild animals and ensue the world to become very peaceful. Two Brothers really was based on fact. Like I said, poachers and other hunters crave and take pride in killing wild animals.
Okay enough nature talking. But if you love tigers, then Two Brothers would be the best movie for all that do love tigers, just like myself.
I would give the movie rating about 8/10.
