Krymskiy most. Sdelano s lyubovyu! (2018)
A shameless piece of propaganda for every true Russian to cherish and enjoy!
This "film" is the greatest recent example of public funds embezzlement in the name of Art. Having cost a fortune this piece of cinematography is only as good as a pearl clam without any pearl in it. Colourful and tongue-in-cheek from the outside, it is the austere and in-your-face piece of state propaganda. One can only sit and wonder wonder with sheer horror how far down the great Russian cinematography has gone from the times of "Cranes are Flying" and even the beloved "Adventures of Shurik". Is this the top costing piece of junk in the history of cinema? A resounding yes.
Tobulas Pasimatymas (2020)
One of the better LT comedies
Albeit based on a foreign script, this uses the best Lithuanian actors to convey a simple yet an educational story. The film is fun, cheeky, has some great jokes and sometimes is even ingenious. Not a masterpiece by any stretch of imagination, but still a good watch and time well spent.
Kometa Galleya (2020)
The most terrible Christmas/New Year film ever created
I urge you to never ever try to watch this thing. This piece of cinematography has all the cliches of festive filmmaking and has realised all of them plain wrong. There is not a single character you could relate to and would care of. There is so much quarreling, shouting and swearing throughout the film that it is extremely overwhelming and tiring to watch. The sequence of events just does not make any sense and deny all logic. The character development is non-existent, the ending is plain stupid and anti-climatic. There is no humour or jokes that would be even remotely funny.
The WORST New Year film of all time. Period.
Tarp musu, mergaiciu (2018)
The worst Lithuanian modern cinema has to offer
Unfortunately, I was unable to finish watching this piece of art. Yeah, some really good actors in the cast which I really like, such as Rimante Valiukaite and Inesa Stasiulyte, but staging was a letdown. Not to say that the acting was plain bad, the script itself was actually terrible, the jokes were so low-grade that none of them was even remotely funny. Everything was overacted to insanity from the beginning til the half (sorry, I could not manage to finish watching it till the end).
I would rate it as the worst Lithuanian cinema production ever, probably even below Dvylika kedziu with Mantas Stonkus. If you would ever want to try to watch it, I would advise you not to.
Really, making such masterpieces must be prohibited by law and the sooner the better!
