City by the Sea (2002)

Very Upsetting

I thought they poorly made Long Beach. They made it look like all of Long Beach was very dirty and poor. I used to live in Long Beach 11 years ago and it was nothing like it was depicted. De Niro was ok but it certainly wasn't his best. Acting was good but overall I thought the movie wasn't very good. I expected better from these top names yet I found the movie to be pretty boring. I give it 6/10.

Payback (I) (1999)

Awesome Movie

This movie proves that Mel Gibson can play any role you give him. This movie was great. It was wierd at the beginning to see Mel Gibson act as a bad guy but through out the movie he was really good. I really enjoyed this movie and I recommend this movie to all viewers who are Mel Gibson fans because I give this movie TWO THUMBS UP!!!!!!!

S.W.A.T. (2003)

Very Good Movie (Spoilers)

It was a very good movie but I have a few recommendations to this film.

One: There should have been more sequences of SWAT rescue. Two: I knew when some things were going to happen so they should have made it difficult to recognize a certain thing in a scene. Three: The movie should have been more real than it was. Like blood should have been present much more and the helicopter looked fake although I know it is difficult to do that sort of thing so I'll give them that.

Overall I thought this movie was really cool and they made a good effort to make this movie as accurate as they could to real SWAT.

SPOILER: MY FAVORITE PART WAS WHEN THEY WERE PLAYING POKER WITH SNIPERS.

Misery (1990)

Chilling

Stephen King gives us a mesmerizing masterpiece. Now James Caan and Kathy Bates and director Rob Reiner relive it in this classic suspense thrilled event. This is the most thrilling movie ever created in my book. It gets you so nervous and scared that you will shake through out the whole movie. James Caan was brilliant in this film. Acting with no legs and trying to escape a crazy woman is not very easy. Now, when I look at Kathy Bates in this movie, I see Psycho right away. She deserved her 1990 Academy Award for Best Actress. I really enjoyed the movie and I recommend it to all viewers who like to get scared and like Stephen King because this is definitely one of the greatest stories he had ever written.

Dumb and Dumber (1994)

An Instant Classic

One of the funniest movies of all time. Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels are a perfect match for insane comedy. This proves that these actors are capable of anything that involves laughter. You can really see the image of five-year-olds in this picture. There's nothing much to say about it yet it is a great movie and it really was one of the funniest movies of all time. I GIVE IT TWO THUMBS UP!!!!!!!

The New Guy (2002)

GREAT

I'm sorry, I know this movie is very idiotic but you cannot help to laugh. It's just too funny. I laughed through out the whole movie. The stupidity of the movie was the essence to make this movie so funny. The story however was very original and is always in these kind of movies but overall it was a fantastic movie. It was like the comedy of Zoolander. I thought that movie was great and funny and so was this one. Many people think this kind of movie is dumb but I thought they were great and I recommend it to all viewers who like really funny movies. I GIVE IT TWO THUMBS UP!!!!!!

Very Good Horror Film

This is a very good horror film. It had a very good plot. Although I think that the movie was too obvious in some ways. It had a lot of scenes that had things that you expected would happened. But overall it was a great horror film. It's not like Halloween or The Shining but it is certainly was an interesting horror film. Jennifer Love Hewitt acted very good in this movie. It's a great movie and I recommend it to all viewers who like horror films. I GIVE IT TWO THUMBS UP!!!!!!!!

Pay It Forward (2000)

Incredibly emotional! (Spoilers)

This movie is one of the most powerful movies that I have ever seen in my life. It is like no other movie that has ever been made. I think that Haley Joel Osment is going to be the best actor who will ever live in the future. This movie showed how incredibly talented this young actor really is. Helen Hunt protrayed her part very well as she usually does. Kevin Spacey was definitely the heart of this film. He had to protray the character who made this movie a full success. I was so surprised that it did very poorly at the oscars. What I think was bad was make the kid die. I think there was no point of this yet that made this an emotional powerhouse of a film. Overall, I think this is a great movie and I recommend it to all viewers who like great movies that have a lot of suspense and drama and will fill you with emotion through out the whole movie. I give it TWO THUMBS UP!!!!!!

The Cable Guy (1996)

Funny

Now, I never liked the story of this movie but the whole movie was funny because of Jim Carrey. Just how he acted was brilliant. It must have been very difficult to act like a person trying to be your friend and not stop. This dark comedy is very funny but I think that this movie was an okay movie. Jim Carrey uses his talent and gave a powerful performance of comedy. I expected more out of Broderick. I've always been a big fan of his and i thought his performance was a little shaky. Overall i thought this movie was funny and I recommend it to all viewers who like some suspense comedy.

This movie was great. I laughed through out the whole thing. I did think the other Ace Ventura movie was better but this was quite funny as well. I thought the story was a little far-fetched but there was a lot you can do with that kind of movie/story. I like the different impressions he did while driving the monster truck. It was really funny. I thought it was confusing but overall I thought it was very funny and I recommend it to all viewers who like Ace Ventura movies. TWO THUMBS UP!!!!!

Mr. Deeds (2002)

One of the best Sandler movies

This a very funny movie. I enjoyed it through out the whole movie. I thought the plot was very different from the other Adam Sandler movies. It's not as insane as the others but it's just as funny as the others. I thought the acting was good by Adam Sandler and i thought it was a fantastic film. I recommend it to viewers who like good comedies and like Adam Sandler movies.

GoldenEye (1995)

Awesome

This movie was fantastic. I thought the plot to this story was great because it has many different scenes and sequences that makes the movie the way it is. This is one of the best James Bond movies of all time because the game makes it even funner. Very few movies have games come after the movie. This was so accurate and I thought it was great. This movie had great acting by James Bond and 006 because without the good acting, you would not be able to see the relationship of the two top agents in the world. I thought the movie was great and I recommend it to all viewers who like James Bond movies and like action-adventure movies.

This is a fantastic thrill-ride that is very interesting. I thought Bruce Willis was great but it seemed he wasn't as into it as he was in the Die Hard series. I thought the plot was great because it was really cool to see action on the sea and on different boats. The mystery that was involved made it a totally different kind of action plot. I thought it gave the movie a better thrust to it. I am a big Tom Sizemore fan and I really thought he was really great in it. Overall, I think this movie was great and I recommend it to all viewers who like Bruce Willis movies.

Seven is one of those edge of your seat thrillers that will keep your eyes glued to the TV screen through out the whole movie. This mesmerizing thrill ride is one of the best films of suspense that was ever made. Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman were fantastic in this movie. And of course, who can be better than Kevin Spacey. He was great as the crazed killer. I thought the story of this movie was very brilliantly written because there is so many things you can do in a story like this. A rookie has to work with a veteran detective to solve a deadly crime. I thought this movie was very funny as well. The movie was great and I recommend it to all viewers who like suspense and like Brad Pitt movies. It was simply great. TWO THUMBS UP!!!!!!

Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003)

Fantastic (SPOILERS)

This movie was fantastic. I thought it was a brilliant story to do. You never really see pirate movie lately and I think they are great movies. This particular movie was a different kind of pirate movie. I think this was better because the different skeletons that attack people and they don't die is great and very cool. There was only two things that I didn't like about this movie. One reason is that I thought the movie would be better if Captain Jack Sparrow would fight the skeletons with his crew instead of just fighting his first mate who betrayed him. The other reason is that it should have a little bit more adventurous scenes of action violence. But I also thought the movie was hilarious. I thought the movie was great and I recommend it to all viewers who like pirate movies and like Johnny Depp movies. It was great and I give it TWO THUMBS UP.

The Godfather Part III (1990)

The perfect ending to a perfect series (SPOILERS)

I'll tell you the truth. This was without a doubt, the worst Godfather film ever made. But you were shown how Michael Corleone ends up at the end. If you think all the way back to the first, he wasn't even supposed to be the Godfather. He was going to live a fruitful life with his great wife but then his brother died who was supposed to take the job as the Don when his father died. Michael never saw this coming. And he ended up doing the best he could yet the job and pressure got to him. His wife hates him, he had to kill his other brother and his wife killed his son soon to be. In this movie you see how incredibly exhausted, angry and sad of what he had done. He wonders and asks God how well he did as the Godfather. He questins his fate. In my opinion, I thought he did great as the Godfather. All he had to do was listen to Tom Hagen. Robert Duvall was fantastic in the Godfather movies. Tom Hagen was the backbone of the family and if he didn't listen to him the whole family goes down and since he did listen to him the family didn't turn out as bad as it did. But the first and second movie was better but this was definitely the perfect ending for these movies.

You've Got Mail (1998)

I thought this movie was better than Sleepless in Seattle. It had a better plot. It's about woman and a man who talk on line together and they are friends. But they meet each other and hate each other, not knowing they talk on line with each other. I think chick flicks are the worst but I think Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan films are great. This particular movie was really funny. I thought this movie was great film and I recommend it to all viewers that liked Sleepless in Seattle and like Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan movies. I give this movie 10/10. I thought it was great.

The Best Show Ever

I love FRIENDS. It's my favorite show ever. The main idea of show is brilliant because there is so much you can do with this sort of plot. I laugh every episode that's on TV. I have every FRIENDS season on DVD. I enjoy watching it because it also envolves every day life for some people. Overall, I think this is a great show and I recommend this show to all viewers who like comedy series and like to laugh every time you watch it.

Meet the Parents (2000)

Funny

This movie was non-stop funny. Many people expected more from this movie but you really have to pay attention to what the actors say and there is a lot of little things that turn out to be hilarious. I thought Robert De Niro acted great in a surprising role that I did not think he was going to do good in because he is good in so many different roles but he did this one greatly. I thought the story was excellent because there is so much you can do with this type of story. Meeting the parents is not an easy thing to do and a lot of things can go wrong during that visit. I thought this movie was great and I recommend this movie to all viewers who like Robert De Niro and Ben Stiller and like to laugh through out the whole movie. I give this one TWO THUMBS UP!!!!

Dog Day Afternoon (1975)

Great

The acting in this movie was the thing that held it together. Al Pacino was fantastic. You really saw the stress that he was feeling through out the whole movie. I thought reinacting Dog Day Afternoon was a great idea because it shows how nice they were about stealing the money but it all went wrong when one person saw what was happening and then everyone knew about it. It's a great story to show in a movie and I thought the movie was fantastic. Al Pacino is one of the best actors who ever lived. He got most of his reputation from the Godfather Saga even though he never won an award for the Godfather but there were a lot of other movies that he was in the deserves recognition like Serpico, Scent of a Woman (Academy Award Winner) and Insomnia. But I think Dog Day Afternoon was one of his best ACTING movies he was ever in. Overall, I think this movie was fantastic and I recommend this movie to all viewers who like Al Pacino and like very interesting storylines. I give Dog Day Afternoon TWO THUMBS UP!!!!!

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002)

Better than the first (POSSIBLE SPOILERS)

I was quite disappointed of the first film but this one was 10x better. The acting was a little better although Ron was over doing his scared reactions to things. I don't really remember the book but when I saw this movie I started to remember what the book was about. It had a lot more parts that were in the book. This is very important because now I am not sure if the book or the movie was better. I thought Dobby was the coolest thing in the movie. He was really funny and I thought the computer-animation was really accurate on how Dobby was described in the book. The Qudditch match was really great too seeing the two rivals Malfoy and Harry head-to-head. Overall I thought the movie was great and I recommend this movie to all viewers who like Harry Potter and like some action-adventure. I give it ***! In conclusion: much better than the first.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001)

It was ok

This movie was not what I expected. Even though acting for a kid is quite difficult but I thought the acting was terrible. They left out a whole lot of scenes that were in the book. I know if you put all the parts in the book in the movie, the movie would be very long but I thought they should have put more classes he took in the book because in the movie there was only a few classes they showed he took. The Dursley house was the worst acting of all the movie. Just how they spoke made me go crazy. Although, the movie besides the acting was ok and I'll give the movie 8/10 because I think the acting was worth 2 points. It's a very good movie for kids, even though it's made for kids, but since I read every book, I expected a little more. So overall I thought the movie was ok.

When I saw the preview of this movie I did not want to see it. I thought it looked too stupid to be even called a movie. But I saw it because I am a Ben Stiller fan and since he acted and directed this movie I thought I'd give it a shot. Was I wrong about the movie. I laughed so hard through out the whole movie because it was ridiculously funny. I thought Ben Stiller acted so funny that it made the movie what it really is. Being a male model must have been really tough for Ben to act out but he did it great. His dad in this movie was really funny as well. This is a different type of comedy than Meet the Parents because they act stupid. Meet the Parents was intellectual funny. Overall I thought this movie was great and I recommend this movie to all viewers who like Ben Stiller and like really great comedies. TWO THUMBS WAY UP!!!!!!!!!

Hardball (2001)

This movie was fantastic. I think the plot of the movie was very touching and greatly written. Keanu Reeves was perfect for the part. This was a completely different plot from the Matrix, my favorite film of him, and I wonder if it was difficult for him to change that sort of role very quickly. But I thought he did a great job. I thought the kids in the movie did great too. They were funny and had a lot of motivation in winning the championship. I was really upset that kid died at the end. I thought that shouldn't have happened because that takes the spirit away from the film. Everyone was having fun, they were finally winning and the end just stopped all the excitement. The movie was fantastic just the same. I give this movie ***1/2 and I recommend this movie to all Keanu Reeves fans and all the people who like tense a great acting. TWO THUMBS UP!!!!!

The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002)

Fantastic (POSSIBLE SPOILERS)

Better than the first. It had more adventure than the first. Aragon was the best in this movie because he was the best fighter in the movie. Legolas was great with his bow and arrow as well. The story of this movie is the same but it was had to deal with different types of characters like Golem where you actually see him as in the first movie there were only sounds and shadows of him. I liked Frodo in the first one better because he was braver in that one. Now he is all dazed and scared in this and he doesn't make the best out of his situation. I thought the Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers should have had the group find each other and the fellowship would be back together. Gandalf, Aragon, Legolas and Gimlie are together, Frodo and Sam are together and Merry and Pippen are together. They are seperated into groups and I never read Return of the King so I can't really judge but I think they should be together. I thought it was a great movie and I recommend this movie to all viewers who are Lord of the Rings fans and like action adventure through out the whole movie.
