Cousin Bette (1998)
Elizabeth Shue cannot sing
I found most of the movie enjoyable, but everytime that Shue was on screen it was a downer for me, and her attempt at singing brought a pained face on me.
Good Luck to You, Leo Grande (2022)
Meh
It always bothers me when a film has a good message, but it is not developed enough to meet the potential. This film is okay, it just has way too much blathering. Ninety percent of the film is Emma Thompon going on and on, it is so boring.
Blood Ties (2007)
Omgosh
I appreciate the genre and attempt, but it didn't cut it...for me. The lead female was so abrasive and sparky. The male cop--her ex--was smug, condescending and also abrasive. The help to the P. I. was shown as ditzy, shown in ridiculous outfits (akin to NCIS's Abby, albeit very poorly, no explanation as to how the charactee developed into this ). The plots were there, the writing wasn't.
Bad Education (2019)
RUN if you have misophonia!
You are not going to miss anything special by skipping this movie. Warning: not a film for anyone with misophonia, there is an eating scene/slurping scene about 15 to 20 times.
