Fast & Furious 7 (2015)
Suitable farewell
I went expecting big things from this movie, and unsurprisingly I was not surprised. This movie was everything that I was expecting. From cars, to guns, to strong female characters (I.E the beautiful and talented Michele Rodriguez and Rhonda Rousey, amongst many others.) The guys were also great, with. Vin diesel, djimon Honsou and Jason statham (all actors I have liked watching in other films they have done.) Dwayne Johnson pulling out the big guns. I really would recommend this movie and I did appreciate the farewell they gave 'the late' Paul walker at the end of the film. I do think that he will be missed by so many who have watched his films. R.I.P Mr walker. Hoping their might be something else this great group of actors can do together in the future.
Night Moves (2013)
Not a suspense
I had never heard of this film, and now I know why. There's not much I can say that's good about this movie, I thought when I picked it up and read that it was a thriller, that I'd be on the edge of my seat, but I wasn't. I think that the fact that they didn't give you enough time to get invested in the characters or give you a reason behind why they were doing what they were doing, did not help either. I felt that this movie was slow and that I just didn't feel anything for the situation they were going through. I felt like my money was wasted in the film and frankly, I haven't felt this way since I watched "get shorty." So in the end, I would have to say, if you are wanting to see a thriller, don't see this movie, because I feel that you would be greatly disappointed. And I was hoping for a lot more from Dakota fanning and Jessie eisenberg, both who are good actors in their own right, just not in this.
Person of Interest: Pilot (2011)
Wow
If it were just Jim Caviezel, it would be a great show add Michael Emerson on top of that and you have a brilliant show. I have to say that I only watched the first episode because my mother told me I had to, but after watching the first episode, I was hooked.
Jim Caviezel has impressed me ever since I first watched him in The count of Monte Cristo and then in The Passion of the Christ he showed his versatility as an actor and now I watch this show and once again he shines. Michael Emerson I only saw once in the Television series Lost but I was impressed with his ability back then and now he plays a lovable brilliant computer nerd. (Someone that I can relate to wellÂ… except for the brilliant part.) The supporting cast of Characters are also great as well such as Taraji P. Henson who does a great job playing a mother on the force and Kevin Chapman as a troubled cop. The writers are also great, I find these days that a lot of police procedural shows are great not only because of the acting, but because the writers really do a great job of creating likable characters that you can get invested in. Therefore, I would recommend this show to anyone who likes not only police procedurals but also science fiction and action/suspense shows. Definitely, one to look out for and I hope that it continues to get better as the show progresses.
Serena (2014)
Good movie, I think
I went to this movie hearing mixed reviews and after watching it, I would have to say that For production value, the movie was well done. I think the actors did a great job (kudos go to Jennifer Lawrence for her portrayal of the lead character) I would say that the chemistry between Bradley cooper and jennifer Lawrence was still there (I was a fan of them both after watching silver lining playbook.) however when it came to the story itself, I have not read the book but but I must say that the movie was l incredibly depressing. The other thing I really enjoyed however was the incredible scenery And I would recommend this to people who are interested in the environment as well as those interested in American history in general.
The Bourne Legacy (2012)
Poor script makes film suffer
Giving five to this movie is generous, I think that the acting by the two leads was good, however like the others have said, the script just didn't do justice to the Bourne franchise, and the ending was nothing compared to the ending of the final Matt Damon Bourne film, hopefully if they do another one, they'll get someone else to write the script and give edward norton a bigger role because after seeing what he can do, I was disappointed that he had a minimal role, what was good was how they tied it in with the other films, and the action sequences. But even these weren't enough to change the fact that the script just didn't have the same impact the other ones did. So I really would only recommend this film to those who haven't seen the other ones
