Apollo 18 (2011)
So-So
I went to see it a couple of days ago with my friend.
(Now keep in mind that me and my friend are 15 year old girls k?)
The script was a little bland. There could have been some dark humor or something of the sort to lighten it up a little. Maybe a little more talking about themselves so we actually can understand and relate with the characters.
The story line could have been better.
The only thing that really did this movie for me were the jump scenes. I have watched the Blaire Witch Project and I laughed almost all the way through it (Mainly because they all ended up winding insane). I watched Paranormal Activity. It did nothing for me. It was neither laughable or scary. At least this movie managed to successfully frighten me.
To be honest, I am going to admit that I rather enjoyed it for it's jump scenes but other than that it was quite flat. (Not to mention the the website mentioned is obviously fake. Don't bother looking it up, I'll just quote it for you: "This website was forcibly censored. Its contents can be seen in the film." They must have been super desperate to get more viewers to go this low.
Anyway apart from the flatness and the desperateness it was OK. I'll give it a four, for the jump scenes and the concept.

Better Than I Expected
When I watched this I believed I was in for another terrible B rated movie, but I must admit, out of all the B rated movies I have seen, this is by far the best one. The actors were not amazing, but better than usual in my opinion. The special effects were also better than many other B rated movies I have seen, although they were still terrible in comparison to bigger movies of course. The story line was alright and I quite enjoyed it, although I thought the end was a bit weird... Anyway, not the best movie I have seen, but still a pleasant surprise.
I give this movie a 4/10 for making a good effort with their low budget.
